What if Chise had been sold at an auction not long after her mother died? What if Elias wasn't the first one to buy her? How would things be different? PLEASE READ! Rated T because I'm paranoid, and later chapters might have mentions of dark moments.

AU. MA rating. Chise has been offered as a sacrifice to a demon. Her captors didn't expect her to speak to the beast, OR that he would listen to what she had to say. This is a darker Chise X Elias pairing. Chise is therefore older, grittier, and at Elias' mercy. Darker themes found inside, thus the rating. For a story to unfold, a series of events must occur. In this timeline, Elias didn't attend the auction and Chise was sold to the highest bidder. But even in an alternate world, the red thread will bring a fated pair together.

Chise wasn't blind, she knew that this boy was trying to charm her. Gosh, she was so inexperienced at these things. Back in middle school, she was too worried about keeping her grades up and avoiding the jaws of more hostile faeries to pursue any sort of relationship, platonic or romantic. Takes place in a College AU, diverging from canon after Chapter 45/the end of the anime.

Elias and Chise travel to London to watch the New Year's Eve fireworks display.
