Part 2 of the Scarlett/Mouse Series...After trying to adjust to life Below, Mouse and Scarlett find that the past may not have forgotten them.

Vincent was unable to be there the night the twins were born. Now he has the chance to be there for the birth of his third child. However, while visiting with a friend Above, Catherine is seen by someone from her past. This endangers her, but she is unable to escape to the Tunnels. Though it is daylight, Vincent must get to her, but what will happen when Catherine goes into labor?

Part 1 of Scarlett/Mouse series..Vincent rescues someone from Above, creating chaos in the world Below. Will this chain of events shake the community so closely tied together or will it crumble beneath the strain.

The Tunnels are flooding, and the Community only has a few weeks to find a new home. By chance, a place they could go to becomes available. Not wanting to purchase it outright for fear of engendering resentment, or being seen as flouting her wealth, Catherine contrives to obtain it discreetly.

"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." John 15:13, New International Version Bible. Seven members of the Tunnel Community are asked to give up their lives so that the rest of the community may be allowed to live.  How does each member face death?  How do the survivors deal with their guilt?

Vincent is torn between his desire for Catherine and the dangerous outcome if he gives in. He wants to love her and sample the passions of that love and give in. He is afraid of the outcome if he does give and yet he feels himself drawn to her and cannot resist...

Vincent faces life without Catherine as he tries to carry on and be a father to their son. Days pass and he raises Jacob with all the love and care he knew Catherine would have given their son. He is surrounded by people, needed by his son, and yet he feels as though there is something missing. At first he believes it is Catherine's absence..but something is still missing...until..

Vincent is seen Above and is shot. This doesn't help Father's already high disapproval of Catherine :: Set in Season 1

After re-watching episodes & reading fan fiction, I decided to write the ending I would have liked. I have tried to remain faithful to the relationship between Vincent & Catherine from the first two series. My story picks up after Catherine sent a note to Vincent asking him to meet her later that evening. * I apologise for not getting round to finishing it yet - I will get there!
