It has been said that battling this pandemic is like fighting a war. So, as we continue to shelter in place, I thought it appropriate that this, the second of the COVID-19 quartet, deals with something the squad does a lot of...waiting.

With the wolf, in the guise of COVID 19, at my double-bolted door, I thought I'd offer a momentary diversion. This tale, the first of four I'll be posting on consecutive Fridays in April 2020, is especially for the small group of people who have steadfastly supported my writing efforts. It is the epi-epilogue to 'Trials and Tribulations - Part4: A Faery Tale.'

The squad pulls together once again after Littlejohn is seriously injured in a farming accident. I doubt I'll get to finish this until the holidays. I finally got back to this. Didn't want to leave it unfinished if the CV kills me...

In a confrontation between good and evil, will good prevail?

It has been brought to my attention that part 3 of the Lydecker series has gone "missing in action." For anyone interested, here it is again...

As the squad continues its inevitable journey, destinies begin to converge.

The only thing the squad has to do is get a prisoner but German soldiers have become elusive. I started this story several times over the last six months. I worked and re-worked it so many times that I was going to just scrap it. I finally came up with a plausible ending. Hope you like it.

The battlefield is not the only place where danger might be lurking.

While First Squad escorts the film crew back to battalion HQ, Lt. Hanley leads the rest of Second Platoon in the search for Kraut stragglers.

Ar Churchlady's request, another story in the Alex and Kirby saga. Hanley meets Sally for the first time and sparks fly.

Just because they weren't in the thick of things at Falaise doesn't mean the Second Platoon didn't face danger.

The Germans have started a counteroffensive. Saunders and the squad are on a recon and stumble into a kidnapping. Now they must figure out how to get back the kidnapped victims. I thought I'd never finish this story. It took me over 5 months. I hope you enjoy it.
