When Miss Bowers saves fellow passenger Olivia Mathews from certain death, it awakens a hidden desire in both women, that will ultimately change their lives. (Based on the 1978 adaptation of Death on the Nile).

For once it's not Hastings who's falling in love, but Poirot, with the elegant Countess Rossakoff who decides not to sail to America. She comes looking for Poirot and this is the result: a deliriously happy Poirot and a less than thrilled Miss Lemon.

A brief fixfic, because the ending of Taken at the Flood annoyed me. Oh, not Poirot's resolution of the case! No, it was Lynn Marchmont's choice of husband, especially her reasons for her choice. I suppose back in the day that would have been considered romantic, but nowadays… Well, I simply think she was being stupid. One-shot, complete.
