The Titans investigate a research facility called Gemini. Their mission is to apprehend some one who allegedly broke in, sounds like a cinch. However, they soon come to realize that in a place like this... some doors are best left closed, permanently!

"The square was packed with people. They flew in from the adjacent streets and flowed down the lines of stalls on foot, all wearing brightly colored cloaks and various head coverings. Robin, Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Starfire fit right in as long as they kept their new costume cloaks pulled in close." The Titans go to Azarath; Robin deduces why Raven dresses the way she does.

There are huge distinctions between problems that you have to solve for yourself, the problems that you take to the police, and the problems that are handled by the Teen Titans. Rose, Will and Mike are all trying to get by as Citizens of Jump City. Between their one-sided romances, unemployment and harsh realities, the three of them try their best to make stories of their own.

"Beware The Court of Owls, that watches all the time, ruling Gotham from a shadowed perch, behind granite and lime. They watch you at your hearth, they watch you in your bed, speak not a whispered word of them, or they'll send the Talon for your head." They were a legend. A disbelieving nursery rhyme to scare children. Now they were dead, and from the hands of their own Talon.

When their team was formed, the titans chose to start a new chapter in their lives, moving forward without looking back. But when two children appear in the tower, from a future with unexpected circumstances, the titans are forced to come to terms with their pasts and reexamine what it means to be a family, all while dealing with a new villain that might be their fiercest foe yet.
