He's pretty sure he's committed treason by telling the Hale classified information, but he needs to make sure Jason is safe.

Finding out that Walter & Happy are technically married, Stiles & Walter break-up. Stiles can't be with a married man; the Hale lawyers are prepared to use anything to mud sling him in court. Tensions are high on all fields of relationships, & more so now that Derek and the Hales are paying Stiles more attention. Stopping a runaway train & fighting mercenaries seem far saner.

Based on the Scorpion episode "Little Boy Lost" - Derek gets more insight on what exactly Scorpion is and what they do, and how both Stiles and Jason fit into it. There also seems to be some tension between Ralph and Jason, all while they try to save a little boy and stop an attack.

"I need to borrow one of your cars." "Last time you did, you ran it off of a cliff." "It's important. Stiles's rich ex is trying to seduce him and I need to showoff." "Say no more. I actually have some connections with some pretty romantic highclass restaurants if you're looking to impress." Or As Walter and Stiles become more of a thing, Walter eventually has to deal with Derek.

Stiles wants to better himself & his life so he can provide for his son & thinks joining Scorpion is perfect. Though Walter agrees, his presence & position on the team is questioned by the non-geniuses. Paige learns that Walter is learning to let go & she has to let him...while accepting Stiles into the team & his new role. Not just as the extra muscle but as Walter's boyfriend.

Walter is doing his best to avoid Paige and Tim's relationship. He's got the AAA plan and it's working!...mostly. But after his talk with Cabe he knows he can't give Paige anything less than what she deserves. But letting go is hard. He needs a distraction. Stiles showing up to Scorpion with Roscoe is quite the distraction...though one Walter wished Toby hadn't learned of.

Resigned from service in an attempt to have more time for his son doesn't go well for Stiles. Derek having better lawyers and more money gives him more custody. He's barely employed, spends most of his nights at the bottom of a bottle, and if not for his son, be completely miserable.
