En voyage à Saint Malo, le temps d'une promenade, les souvenirs d'un ancien marin reviennent. La mer n'est jamais loin du capitaine et lui tend une bras vers son passé et le présent...

Pendant "Tintin au Tibet". Tintin et Haddock essaient de dormir mais le froid, trop incisif, pousse Tintin à proposer à Haddock de partager leur chaleur corporelle dans un même duvet. Pas que cela gêne Haddock mais un peu quand même...

Haddock désire Tintin mais celui-ci est si jeune, si innocent... Trop innocent. Haddock fait tout pour rester un bon ami et il a si honte de ce qu'il fait, pourtant il n'arrive pas à lutter contre. Pourvu que Tintin ne le découvre jamais !

Plus qu'amis mais moins qu'amants. Cela fait un mois que Haddock et Tintin ont pris l'habitude de s'embrasser quotidiennement, comme si c'était naturel. Le marin pensait pouvoir se satisfaire de cette situation, mais c'était sans compter sur le retour d'un certain chinois visiblement amoureux.
