It was never supposed to happen. Everyone was dead and when the final human, Jaune Arc, finally died, he was met with the vastness of the Void. Forcefully given a chance to stop the end and another chance at life, he would have to fight to survive and live until he was finally back, and even then his job would not be done.

Sometimes, everything is just too much. Sometimes, you want to start a new life away from the conflict, to lick your wounds and return back to that pristine time of before. Sometimes...your past follows you into the future, whether you like it or not. A Tenno learns this lesson the hard way.
