This is a possible version of the tale of Eugene Fitzherbert as an orphan. A little bit harsh at times, possibly rediculous. Mostly, though - poor orphan Eugene Fitzherbert. No wonder he didn’t want to tell his story. (This was started long before Tangled the series ever came about, so it had nothing in connection with the series characters.)

A bunch of one shots taking place after Varian gets redeemed in season 3. Forgiving might be easy, but to learn to trust again, might be harder than it seems at first. This story does have a lot of angst, and goes a lot into Rapunzel and Varian trying to rebuild their friendship and trust.
