This story has been running around in my brain for years. Recent events have encouraged me to write it. There will be many chapters. I make no promises on timeliness of updates, except that they will happen. If you recognize the character, he/she does not belong to me. Thank you for all your help Sandy.

I don't even know what to write for a summary. It's deathfic, so be warned and have tissues handy. Note: This story is extremely dark. See the end of the story for additional trigger warnings.

This story takes place in 1971 and briefly in 1972, and before Starsky and Hutch aired on TV. Although Hutch and Starsk get into some arguments about some stuff having to do with Christmas, in this story, there's things that Hutch likes about the holiday.

"Black and Blue" episode related but a lot of it doesn't always follow what you saw in the episode. Hutch is hurting from more than just the bullet wound.

After Starsky recovers from an injury, Captain Dobey asks them to look should be a possible missing person's case, of twin brothers. However, what he thinks will be light duties for them becomes far more than anyone expected. PLEASE NOTE, some text is bold italics, this is to indicate silent communication between Starsky and Hutch.

I wrote this fanfic story because of something and extra horrific that could in real life happen to me. It could happen to everyone. I use Hutch as it happening to in this fanfic story, but I also wrote this as a tribute to those who (in real life) it, unfortunately, did have happen to them.
