The copilot of the private jet confirmed the beaten and restrained child had tried to alert the Authorities in Edinburgh.

(Sequel to Malaise) Yassen always knew his mid-life crisis would be spectacular. Breaking out of prison was supposed to make things easier. If evading every agency on the planet wasn't hard enough, underestimating Alex's withdrawal, escalating drug use, and physical health's capacity to worsen indefinitely certainly didn't help matters. This is what he gets for getting attached.

Russia is cold and unforgiving, but MI6 is even more so. Alex's mission morphs into something surreal, only to rapidly fade from his awareness once it ends.

Seven years since legendary teenage superspy has gone missing. His story revealed to the world, as well as his death. But there are still a few who believe it takes a lot more to kill Alex Rider.

All of our favorite contenders! No Slash. Mild Crack. Mentions of torture! Rated T to be safe. Yes, we know American judges don't wear wigs and British ones don't use gavels. Who cares!

Alex has been kidnapped again by the remnants of Scorpia. That was fine. He'd escape and return to his normal life, well, as normal as his life could get. But things are never that easy, especially for one teenage spy. Not canon compliant. Yassen is still alive.

Alex's life is in danger yet again, only this time MI6 have blamed the wrong people. Believing the enemy to be Scorpia and thought-to-be dead assassin Yassen Gregorovich, they dispatch K-unit to protect the teen spy. But when the real enemy remains unknown to the protectors, things go from bad to worse in a flash. Alex Rider, K-unit and Yassen chaos.
