While on the run from the law, Dr. Lector makes a necessary detoure through New Jersey. After saving a girl from being gunned down, he is rushed to a free clinic. There he encounters a rival and equal, the infamous bad-tempered genius Dr. Gregory House. Together, they are the only hope to save the life of a patient struck down by a rare disease.

Some birds are meant to be caged, and those birds are meant to die. She was never one of them. The FBI didn't understand it, not before it was too late. They only knew how to cage her. But bars were never enough to hold her down. So off her cage she shall fly, with the only other bird that ever understood her.

Dr. Lecter sees Clarice out shopping and invites her to dinner. Post-SoTL. Multichapter/Incomplete. Rated teen for language.

After Clarice's unfortunate miscarriage, Hannibal and his loving partner try to rebuild their lives. But of course, with Hannibal Lecter, there becomes complications. Rated M for mature themes throughout the story.

Based off of the soulmate-timer idea that originated on Tumblr. Clarice Starling and Hannibal Lecter are soulmates when they first meet in the Silence of the Lambs.
