Instead of Tommy dying in the Undertaking that does not happen, and a few other events take place differently from how Oliver gets his hood to Diggle not being a stupid Olicty cheerleader to unhealthy levels. Using deleted scenes or script info that never got filmed gives us another way Arrow season 1 finale could have gone.

A post season 7 AU in which Oliver is sent to the future by the Monitor and, upon meeting his adult children and learning about their dystopian reality, resolves to ensure that this future in which his work is dismantled never becomes a reality.

Tommy, Laurel, Thea, Moira, Quentin, and John are all brought to the future to witness the creation of a hero in order to prevent a tragedy. Basically, they watch Oliver through his flashbacks and his journey to becoming a hero.
