After the fall of Phaaze and the end of the X-plague the galaxy was at peace. Samus crashed on the planet Aether her ship won't be able to move for a certain amount of time so she can only start her investigation. However another ship is about to crash on the planet at the same time, and this ship belongs to the space pirate general Ridley. Stuck on the same planet who knows what will happen when they will be forced to work together to save the universe.

Samus gets injured and has to learn to cope with her emotions. Along the way, she is helped by a family on Earth.
