There's two versions- a Wife version (which I wrote in like 2014), and a Husband version (which I wrote literally this year(2020) bc I thought it was unfair to go against cannon.) but they are essentially the same one shot.

They live in New York. They just turned sixteen. This means that their Soul Searching has started. Seeing only glimpes and dreams of each other, they have already fallen in love. Personal loyalty. Apparently that was his fatal flaw. His potential downfall. But he couldn't see how it was so bad. He just wanted to save the people he loved. Who cares about the cost? In the end, when he had all those eyes staring up at him, that is why he said yes.
