With the Vipers now openly rebelling against Advent, XCOM's fight against Advent seems to have gained momentum. However, as new shadows rise to break the will of the resistance, the Commander himself now finds it difficult to maintain his high confidence and will. With a growing sense of self doubt, can the Commander fight not only Advent, but also to keep his humanity?

Pretty much my Xcom playthrough but I make it a bit more dramatic.

The Assault on the Temple ship was tough and unforgiving, leaving only two to make it to the very end. Once they destroyed the ship, the two were sent in a different world much like there own. One were the aliens and humans swapped places. [ this was adopted]

The world has fallen to ruin, despite its new shine. And from the ashes swept under the rug, perhaps a little hope can emerge from the darkness. Rated M for descriptions of war and violence. After all, it's XCOM baby!

This story is being rewritten in order to do it better a second time.
