Anne leaves for an unchaperoned trip to Scotland to track down her only living blood relative. But runs into trouble and learns to lean on Gilbert.

Season 3, episode 6 of "Anne with an E" left me with so many feelings and in an attempt to deal with them and make things feel at least a little bit right again, I came up with this tag to the episode. It picks up the same night the episode left off. Anne is printing her story and Gilbert comes to find her… One shot.

Their love is slow and it's sweet and it feels a lot like destiny.

Gilbert reflects on his frustratingly wonderful - and wonderfully frustrating - relationship with Anne, from the time of their first meeting, to their first dance and beyond. This encompasses all seasons of Anne with an E up to Season 3 Episode 5, lightly touching upon the beginning of Episode 6.

People shouldn't get old, she thinks. The fine needle refuses to be held in her calloused fingers. She feels sick, almost - Marilla Cuthbert has not been taught to be like this, to be doubting God and Providence. Diana struggles with feelings for someone she knows her mother will never approve of... takes place after Season 3 Episode 4.

Gilbert was besotted with Anne, and when the perfect opportunity to be with her arises, he realises that there was so much more to her than her facade. Broken down, and shattered, Gilbert is the first person who finds Anne and consoles her, and that lights a spark to their promising relationship.

Though we all deeply love Shirbert, Star0Dragon0Slayer and I wanted to venture into territory neither of us had seen before. Newcomers move to Avonlea causing rumors and emotions to fly. The newcomers are a brother sister duo from America, New York to be exact. When the new girl starts school everyone wonders if the rumors about her and her brother are true..

I loved that scene from episode three, but I decided to make it a bit sweeter. Possible spoilers.

Diana and Anne realise how much they mean to each other, during a winter evening of stargazing.

Gilbert is there for Anne when she needs someone the most. Billy did far more damage than seen in the episode. Anne goes through my own journey of healing. (A few chapters are labeled trigger warning and are rated M; If you skip those chapters, you will still know what happened, but you won't be reading the details. And the story will still make sense even if you don't read those).

Set in the hopefully near future when Gilbert admits his true feelings to Anne. When Gilbert first admits that he loves Anne, the response he gets is not quite the one the young man was expecting nor hoping for. Anne is tongue-tied. Based on the prompt: "You're competitive and so am I, and it's going to lead to a fight." Written for Day 24 of the 31 Day March Drabble Challenge.

Anne is upset when she hears she can't go into town with Marilla and Matthew, but what happens when Gilbert shows up at her door? Now, the pair are home alone at Green Gables. What will happen?

Anne is on a visit to Charlottetown with her bosom friend, but her bright days are shadowed by Jonsey's recent freedom. What happens when these two say hello again? (Because honestly it did not feel like they had enough of a resolution for that character.)

Anne loves Poetry so she writes about her home and friends.

Anne's past haunts her memories. As the Cuthbert's find out about her PTSD, they help her overcome it by showing what love and a family can do, with a little help from Jerry, Diana and Gilbert. Bad punctuation and such. ;)

Anne's Idea to dramatize Lord Tennyson's poem with Diana, Ruby and Jane does not play out the way she wanted it to. Without her notice the flat stops and Billy and his friends find her with the sole intent of knocking her overboard with stones. 'She'll only get wet, the stones won't hurt her.' That's what they believe. There's only one problem. Anne Shirley can't swim.
