After unwittingly saving her life, Lykrosis and the female return to their tempestuous dance of pleasurable trysts and conflicted feelings. While the female's health improves, Lykrosis is put in more danger than either of them realize. This path will lead them further into the Fallen's past than they ever could have imagined, but some secrets are better left buried.

The hero of the Red war had plenty of time to herself between campaigns. She had even prepared for future events, which may threaten to undo her hard work. Such as the Cabal using the almighty to destroy the last city. A shame no-one asked the first guardian ever to board the almighty how she planned to stop its fall, but Zavala and Ana Bray were too stubborn to ask her for advice.
