Rebecca and Nathaniel strike up a platonic friendship, which has its shared of ups and downs. The line between friendship and romance proves to be precarious and confusing, especially with Greg still harboring feelings for Rebecca.

Rebecca throws a New Year's party and invites over the people she cares for the most and who had made her year better, one way or another. Darryl and WhiteJo talk for a while, until Darryl says something that might influence their future.

It's pathetic, the hold she has over him even now, after years of building up his defenses and trying not to think about her stupid green eyes and stupid laugh and how she may have broken his heart forever. Rebecca/Nathaniel, three years later.

Nathaniel leaves his phone at home when he goes to a business dinner, and Rebecca can't help but think the worst.
