Based around Philip Glenister's quote of: If I was 12 today I'd be playing Grand Theft Auto on the PlayStation!

Just a short variation on how Alex and Gene's date ended.

It's Molly's 15th birthday and exactly three years after her mother's death. She has never fully recovered from it, collecting to the point of obsession info about her mother's case. It's on this date, though, that tragedy crosses Molly's path once again, taking her back to 1989, where a certain DCI is not pleased to see her. What is her purpose there, really? I had to rewrite of the end of 3.08, to make Galex happen as it should and also to get out of my system my feelings about Keats! Why did Alex have to die? Why did Gene have to stay in purgatory? He didn't deserve it! He deserves happiness! Either to die with Alex or for Alex to stay and help him help 'new recruits' – at least for a while. That bloody beautiful amazing show :(
