It's war. Reasonable men vs Mevolent lackeys. On a routine (for them) suicide mission, the Deadmen run into trouble and are helped out by a mysterious girl in black, with strange magic and a silver tongue. Not to mention a personality that reminds them of a certain missing skeleton. Dimension/time-travel/shenanigan AU. Post Dying of the Light Valkyrie.

"She's hungry." Skulduggery said as Stephanie wailed again. "When did you feed her last?" Gordon hesitated. "Is it possible," Skulduggery asked. "That you forgot?"

"You can't stay mad at me for long." He said, voice soft and velvety. If this were any other situation, his voice would have made her melt, but she fought hard to hold on to her anger. "Yes, actually, I can."

Valkyrie remembers music and waltzing; her partner is every bit of the talk he boasts about; his movements fluid as he leads her in an elegant routine. Meaning that she can be as terrible a dancer as she likes, and they will still be the most talked about couple for centuries.

Valkyrie, aged 15 is faced with conflicting emotions about her past and close future. When she runs away and meets a time traveller she is sent back in time to 1587 where she learns to fight her subconscious and overcome her fears. How will her friends take on this new change at her return? Contains manly Valduggery later on in the chapters.
