All players who were involved with the final battle with the I.O.I. were granted their gear and coins so they could continue playing in the Oasis. Tuesdays and Thursdays are when it is shut down so people could enjoy real life. New heroes mix with old in this new adventure introducing Jack.

A new threat to Oasis rises, more destructive than anything before her. She is Itsura Youji, a seemingly kind Japanese girl living in New York near where High Five now lives. In the aftermath of the battle between the gunters and IOI for Halliday's Egg and the fate of the OASIS, a small party of friends comes to terms with the paradigm shift brought upon by the loss of their character progress and what to do now that the egg hunt has come to a close. This action/adventure story utilizes an experimental third- and first-person perspective shift.

Life and loss, after the Egg.

James Halliday had one project that he completed before he set to work on the Hunt. Its name was Garralt. A sentient AI that lives inside OASIS and now spends its days ensuring the spirit of the hunt is not defiled and that the finder of the Egg is someone who devoted themselves to the cause. Otherwise, his purpose is of his own design.

January 2011: The OASIS is still in development in secret, planned to be a virtual re-creation of Columbus, Ohio with an RPG twist. But, Halliday and Ogden discover a bug that has exploited a hole in the code for a major quest line in the game. Scott Sanders, armed with an entire arsenal of video game weapons, must stop the bugs and save the OASIS.
