That was what Hat Kid thought when she got caught again in an accident that left her stranded on another planet filled with dangerous people who are after another thing besides the timepieces that she lost: a cursed artefact known as the Skull Heart. Will she find all the timepieces? Or resort to wishing on the Skull Heart?

Poor Hat kid just can't seem to get home. Another accident causes her to lose her remaining Time Pieces as they fall toward another planet. Thankfully they all landed in one city, too bad it's the one city that has such a massive villain problem. Hopefully she can find all her Time Pieces before Hawkmoth can figure out their full potential.

Dry Bowser, Petey Piranha, and Toadette end up in the seaside Mafia Town when they bump into Hat Kid, who is looking to collect the time pieces and asks for their help in doing so.
