There is an owl carved on the porch in front of Sarah's window and she knows she's being watched. She refuses to be traumatized by her run in the labyrinth, but cannot prevent some creatures to take an interest in her. When Toby disappears again, she must find him alone ... or accept some help she doesn't want.

Sarah longs for freedom from the current life she has made for herself. One casual wish later she gets more than she bargains for. Sarah's taking a much-needed vacation in Italy when the Goblin King shows up on her doorstep. Getting rid of him turns out to not be as easy-or desirable-as she thought.
