On a simple mission, the team meets unexpected danger. Stuck fending for themselves in uninhabitable terrain, they have to find a way to get their injured team leader and teammates to safety and medical help. Mostly Hurt!Adam. A bit of Hurt!Preach and Hurt!Amir.

McG always figured Amir would have to open up to him eventually, he just didn't want it to be quite like this. In which McG and Amir learn a little more about each other, and guilt is a heavy burden to carry.

Patricia protected her team at all costs but what if someone she trusted turned on them? Dalton and his Special Operations Group were heading overseas, but how accurate is the info they were given?

Adam has always kept his personal life private. Until he returns stateside with Preach (still in coma) and Adam introduces his teammates to his twin sister Kate. McG and Kate's introduction causes a mess for the whole team. Kate is placed in danger and the Special Operations Group 7 will have to save her.

With three words, she pulled his team in on a mission that change everything, but he would do anything for his sister.

What happens when this tough deployment ends and they all go their separate ways during leave? How will Dalton and Jaz come to term with their demons and their feelings? Predominantly a Jalton story.

They are about to go on leave. Jaz isn't going home though, the guys tease her about being just like Harry Potter. They have another movie night and it causes memories of past movie nights to come up as she reflects on the way her relationship has evolved with Top, and continues to. Top finally divulges what Elijah had told him not long after their last movie night with him.

Adam and Jaz are separated from the rest of the team when the air strike hits. A little worse for wear, they must help each other until they reunite with the others. Hurt!Adam. Hurt!Jaz.

They're a team, and being a team means you don't leave anyone behind. They're also soldiers though, and that means sometimes you have to. Or, the team makes a difficult decision and spends a long time regretting it.

The team knew it only took seconds for a successful mission to go off the rails. This was one of those times and there would be far-reaching impacts. As the saying goes, "When one door closes another one opens".

Teams grow together or grow apart. The last deployment & six months leave has changed everyone on Dalton's Special Ops Team. Will they be able to tear down the walls they built up or will the divide lead to dire circumstances? When one of them needs them the most will they be able to see beyond themselves or will it be too little too late? Jaz focused but lots of team fluff

A team member has gone missing over the weekend.

It's a perfect storm of bad luck with bullets, railings, and ice water. And for a moment, the team thinks this is how Adam Dalton ends. Not a death fic. Adam whump.

Relationships are hard when you can't be honest and in their line of work that was simply not possible. Lies were a necessity and keeping people at arm's length ensured their safety, but it was a lonely existence. Or at least it used to be. This is the story of how Dalton and Jaz found themselves backing into a relationship unexpectedly.

Adam's caught in a bomb explosion and buried under the rubble. Above ground, the team scrambles to get him to safety. Hurt!Adam.

This is an off-shoot of The Light Among Shadows. Originally this was meant to be a stand-alone, but as it's gone on, it does intersect with my other fic. I do try to keep it separate enough that you don't have to read both, but they do read better together. Hannah Rivera knows Joseph McGuire is a player, and that's exactly what she needs to get back in the game.
