I was a little disappointed with the way The Heir and the Crown were written after falling in love with the other Selection series books, so I re-wrote them. I started at Chapter 29 in The Heir and am working my way through it with the things that I would have done differently; more character growth from Eadlyn, more character development, and a better ending (in my opinion).

This is the year 2234 in the Illéa System. All eight planets have been colonized because the population growth was too strong. But now, the fertility rate is very low, and even the Empress and her husband cannot conceive an Heir.
