A bit darker than what I'm used to writing, a short story based around the time when Bell gets captured by Phryne - no graphic descriptions, its mostly implied from Ais and Freya's point of view.

The labyrinthine city of Orario had become a mass grave. The Dungeon had bared its fangs, and even the collective strength of the city's top adventurers could not hold back the endless death that poured out from its depths. But a pocket watch in the hands of the city's strongest adventurer means not all is lost.

Like her favorite story book character, Alice followed a white rabbit into a completely different world. With the help of Bell Cranel, she will find a way to navigate her way through this amazing and scary new world while trying to get back to her own.

I wasn't strong enough to protect Orario, and as a result the city crumbled and died, vanishing in a sea of flames, everyone I'd ever loved following soon after. I did gain the necessary strength eventually though, but by then it was far too late. So when an opportunity to go back and do it all again presented itself, I took it, and this time, strength would not be an issue.

As the Minotaur stood over Bell on that fateful day, a blue screen appeared before him. It offered him power and he took it. Watch Bell as he proves himself worthy to be called a Hero.
