Patroclus was unremarkable and unnoticed even after catching his first zigzagoon, or so he thought. When he is befriended by Greece's most famous prince, Achilles, his fate is sealed in ways he never could have imagined. Their journey to be heroes is long and destined for tragedy, but sometimes pokemon have a way of derailing even the sternest destinies.

Thetis never put Patroclus' name on the tomb at the end of the Song of Achilles. He has been wandering the earth for 3000 years, his name forgotten by almost all. That is, until he gets a visitor. Takes place once Apollo receives his godliness back at the end of Trials of Apollo, so spoilers for the books that are currently out.
