1 year later

I was stuck in a god damn lab while the rest of my undeserving classmates get to go watch the particle accelerator turn on. What was the point of this excursion if I wasn't even allowed to watch it?

It's unbelievable, just because I got the highest mark for chemistry and physics does not mean that working on all our projects for this in a lab all night is fair punishment for embarrassing Mrs Donovan, while you get to witness history!

I ran the chemical analysis of the prints on the fake diamond as the news reported something going wrong with the accelerator. Man it was really coming down, I made sure all the widows and shutters were closed to lessen leakage.

Suddenly there was a rumble and a shock wave originating from the accelerator making the electricity fizz out. I looked up and saw what looked like sunlight before a blinding orange light shattered the glass. I was holding the fake diamond in my hand and held it up a to provide what little protection it could.

The lightning struck the diamond, time stood still as I saw an orange bolt split off into multiple different colors coming out of the diamond before they all struck me, launching me into the shelf of chemicals behind me.

Everything went dark.

"Hey, hey Jayden. Wake up", someone was lightly smacking me. I opened my eyes to see Zander, one of my friends."You alright? What the hell happened in here?"

The class was standing by the door of the ambulance, that's when I realized I was in one."I-I think I was struck by lightning", I said in a rough voice.

"Well shit! That's so cool, and you ain't dead." He laughed making me laugh.

I got a check up and was cleared, they said that I had to get a thorough one back in Starling City since there were many other emergencies they had to deal with. And with that, our disaster of a trip was over and we were on the next train home.

The man cocked back his arm rearing a punch then launched it. Time slowed, just like it does whenever I make even the smallest conscious effort to move fast. I easily moved out of his fists path. I elbowed him in the face and tripped him after he doubled back. As he was falling I kicked him the opposite direction, unconscious.

"JJ wins once again!", the crowd cheered and I collected my winnings and left.

Ever since the particle accelerator explosion I've been able to move at incredible speeds. Although I never use it for crime or for heroics, that's the Arrows job.

And I'm no hero.

It was dark and I was in the glades, or what's still left of it. Being here at night was never a good idea. I climbed the fire escape to the roof.

I've seen the Arrow jumping across buildings, but recently he's had a new sidekick, not the guy in red, this one was in green, and was most definitely not a guy, I could tell by the figure standing in front of me with her back turned.

Her blonde hair visible even though it was dark. Her suit hugged her figure much too tightly.

It probably distracts their opponents more that the distraction they actually plan.

"Enjoying the view?", she said surprising me. Her back was still faced towards me.

"A little light would make it much better."

"That's too bad."

I walked over to her side. For some reason when she's on patrol she always ends up standing above the apartment complex I live in, our first encounter was less than pleasurable, well, I guess that depends on what you like. She'd flipped me over and straddled me holding a knife to my neck. But hey, we all get second chances right?

"So, any action tonight?"

"Not really, it's been quiet," her voice sounded bored. "Wanna play a game?", I asked sitting on the edge of the roof.

"Sure, why not. Which one?"

"Twenty questions", I got the feeling she rolled her eyes.

"Me first,"she said joining me on the edge. "What's your name?"

"You can call me JJ", I heard her sigh.

"I meant your real name", "If I tell you mine will you tell me yours, Artemis?"

"If I tell you I'd have to kill you."

"Yeah? I'd like to see you try", just in case you're still wondering, no she doesn't know I have powers.

"Oh believe me I can."

"Fine. My turn, where'd you learn to fight?"

"The League of Assassins."

A league of assassins!? WTF!? That's so cool, scary too. I've never heard of it before though.

"I had like seven different teachers.", she said with a smirk."You?", her eyebrows reached up mockingly.

"...a gym", sent her straight into a fit of laughter before someone spoke into her ear. "I'll be there in a few minutes", she looked at me. "See you around JJ", she said before jumping off the edge.

She's so sexy.

I woke up and looked at my alarm clock.

8:14 AM

Shit I'm late! I got ready using my super speed, white lightning flashing around my apartment. I was ready in two seconds.

I got out of the building normally not wanting to break anything. As soon as I was out I concentrated on my speed, everything started slowing down almost to a stop. I walked to school through the frozen city, I stopped a mugging in progress by tapping on the assailants cheek, saved coffee from being spilt and finished my homework along the way stopping at a cafe.

So yeah, basically a normal day. At school they taught the different states of molecules and how we perceive them within their different states and how in theory if an objects very cells vibrated fast enough it could potentially phase through an object. I of course knew all of this already, but hearing it did give me an idea.

I walked towards the apartment complex after coming from studying in the library to see two hot ladies in cosplay kissing. I took cover as I saw them and the arrow standing a ways away with Artemis behind him.

What is with all the hot chicks on team arrow recently, maybe I just have a thing for the costume?

I sped around the block, the air crackled with white lightning for a millisecond before I was directly behind Artemis, Arrow had moved to talk to the broads.

"Hey", I whispered. She jumped slightly before taking a defensive stance turning towards me.

"Get out of here, it's not safe".

"Oh, when is it safe?", I asked sarcastically.

"I'm serious JJ, they're from the league of assassins", she motioned to the females.

Wait. "Are you leaving?"

"I hope not, I really don't want to go back. I just got out thanks to Sar-I mean Canary taking me with her after begging her a thousand times."

I sure hope she doesn't leave.

The girl in black left and Artemis went forward."Go home JJ".

Like hell I am, this is going to be fun.

I discreetly followed them after pretending to leave until they got to...a nightclub?

They went in the back after the arrow typed in the password.

I remembered what we learnt class and tested my idea out. I vibrated my body and touched the door only for my hand to go through.

Freaking cool.

I went inside down the steps and saw something I never expected to. Oliver Queen was The Arrow.
