When she woke again she could feel the cool earth on her skin her cheeks stained with tears and smudged with dirt. She shivered in the cool air of the well despite her slightly elevated body temperature. Her eyes opened slowly then closed again as she yawned and stretched as much as she could in the cramped place.
She sat up and brought a hand to her face to cover another yawn, it was then she realized she didn't have a stitch of cloth covering her. In her embarrassment she covered herself what little she could with her hands. Finding nothing but scraps she couldn't cover herself properly so she stood and listened for any noise up above.
Hearing nothing she began her climb to the halfway point to go back home and get clothes and her bag. Finally reaching the halfway point she let go and pushed off to fall back into the depths of the well. The weightlessness of the fall lulled her into a feeling of peace as the time drift finally stopped and landed slowly onto her feet.
She looked up to see the roof of the well house and grabbed the ladder to begin climbing. Once she reached the top of the well she slowly peeked over the edge of the well to make sure the door was shut before she climbed out.
She reached the top deck and slid the door open a little bit peeking around the edge of the door while still keeping her body covered. Her stomach growled as she saw no one around so she opened the door a little wider and leaned her head out more to make sure. Finally building confidence she bolted out the well house and to her house door praying to anyone that might hear her to not let anyone see her.
When she finally made it inside of her house she breathed a sigh of relief as soon as the door was shut she leaned against it. Hearing no sounds in the house meant that her family was probably not at home for some reason or another so she calmly walked to her room to find some clothes and she laid them out on her bed.
She grabbed a new towel from the closet and went to go and soak in the tub, her stomach made itself known again and she decided that a shower would work just as well as she turned on the showers and stepped in sighing as the hot water ran over her and soothed her muscles.
When she was dried and dressed she went downstairs and grabbed few things out of the fridge and fixed her a bowl of rice from breakfast that morning. After eating three or four helpings of rice and a few of the side dishes she finally felt satisfied. She washed her used dishes and then put them in the drying rack.
She looked at the clock and silently cursed surprised Inuyasha hadn't come to drag her back yet even though the battle was done and the jewel whole and back inside of her, he still got anxious when she didn't show up on time.
She grabbed the magnetic notepad off the refrigerator and a pen off the counter to leave her family a note and let them know she was safe and that she had returned to the past. When she was satisfied with the note she placed that pad back on the refrigerator where it would be easily seen by anyone in the family.
With everything cleaned up and all of her things packed and ready to go she grabbed her bag at the front door and walked outside shutting and locking the door behind her. Using her arm to shade her eyes from the sun she enjoyed the warmth of the sun on her skin for a few moments before she left. She walked to the well house to leave but what she didn't notice the people watching from the woods backing the shrines property.
"Are you sure you bit her?" The older male looked at the younger one.
"Yes I am sure." The younger male turned his head down in disappointment for losing control enough to bite someone.
"Then she turned...I have only ever heard of one female able to handle the change she belongs to an pack overseas." The older male scratched at the scruff on his chin.
"It looks like the Japan pack has the second one then." The younger male grinned at the older.
"Perhaps. I am surprised that she was able to survive the change..." He trailed off when he noticed her enter the well house with her bag.
"Hey where do you think she is going?" The younger male started out of the forest.
They walked to the well house and opened the door to find it empty.
"She disappeared!" The younger male was surprised and began searching the entire well house to see if there was a secret passage.
"We should go tell our alpha he will want to meet our new female pack member."
