Downfall of the House Guard: Sayaka Katsuragi

Tsunetaka Kareki was as happy as he could possibly be after getting rid of the Katsuragi women that he felt had invaded his father's home. There wasn't an hour or even a second that had passed where he was content with the peace that he felt was secured with the three women removed from the premises. As a home guard, he had succeeded in driving away what he perceived as the uninvited guests that were really just his stepfamily that his father had taken interest in, not an actual threat to him.

That is, until several months after he had driven the three women away, Sayaka returned for a visit…and surprised him.

"You!" He gasped at the sight of her. "Don't tell me that…"

Sayaka, looking heavily pregnant, probably in her third trimester, was crying when he saw her.

"I ended up having a baby!" She cried.

Tsunetaka had suspected this happen after raping her so many times, but he refused to admit that this turn of events was his doing.

"Hey, is that baby mine?" He wanted to know.

"You're the only one I did it with," she confessed.

"Is that so? Then, what do you want from me?"

"What? I…I…"

"Let me tell you something. I don't acknowledge that child as mine. You started this, so you deal with it."

"No…no way," Sayaka declared, still saddened by the fact that he got her pregnant. "That's cruel. You're cruel!"

Tsunetaka wanted her to leave now so that he could return to his peace and quiet, but then he looked at her face…and felt compelled to have her all to himself like before when she lived here. Quickly, he grabbed her by her arm…and pulled her inside the house.

"Aaahh!" Sayaka gasped. "Hikari! Hikari!"

Tsunetaka didn't understand why she yelled that out, but closed the door and took her to his room. All he wanted right now…was to ravage this girl.

BASH! The front door was busted open…and three men in heavy-duty tactical gear came in guns raised and aimed at Tsunetaka.

"Unhand the girl and get down on the floor!" One of them ordered him.

"I'm a house guard!" Tsunetaka told them.

"Get down on the floor now!" The other two men demanded, and Sayaka tore away from Tsunetaka and ran behind a corner in the hall. "Take him out!"

Tsunetaka was then shot at…with beanbags and tranquilizer darts. He fell to the floor.

"He's down!" Sayaka heard one of the men yell. "Miss Katsuragi, are you alright?"

Sayaka slowly poked her head from behind the wall and nodded that she was.

"That's his room," she pointed over to the door leading to Tsunetaka's room. "If the files aren't on his computer, they're likely on his USB drives (she looks down at the incapacitated Tsunetaka). Are you sure he's not going to get back up?"

"We shot him with four darts," one of them told her as he cuffed Tsunetaka. "He'll be out for five hours."

"We found his drives and accessed his computer," the second man informed them. "This guy is one sick son of a bitch. He's going away for a long time."

Tsunetaka came to and found himself cuffed to a metal table.

"Huh? What the Hell is going here?!" He yelled.

"Good, you're awake now," he heard a police officer say to him on the other side of the table. "What's the last thing you remember?"

Before he spoke, Tsunetaka saw another man in the room with him…and recognized from a few years ago. It was the head of the organization in charge of the house guards…wearing a frown.

"I didn't want to believe that you were capable of these horrible acts, Kareki," he told him, "but after I saw the footage, I was repulsed by your actions. What you did to these women is unforgivable. You give the House Guard Agency a bad name. We don't condone these heinous crimes you committed. Tsunetaka Kareki…you're dismissed."

Tsunetaka couldn't believe this! He was being fired! Fired for doing his job, protecting his home against intruders! Those women were intruders!

"No matter how you look at it, the charges are incontrovertible. Multiple counts of rape, assault, coercion, and the illegal recordings of individuals in a private residence… You're going away for a long time, Kareki," the police officer revealed to him. "Your father's been notified, and he's displeased with what you did. He practically disowned you for your actions."

At first, Mr. Kareki didn't want to believe that his son had committed these horrible acts under his roof to his new wife and stepdaughters. But after he was shown the surveillance videos and the amniocentesis regarding Sayaka's pregnancy, confirming that the baby was his son's, he could barely face them with what Tsunetaka had done to them. He was outraged, disgusted, even feeling as though his family had been humiliated by his own son when they and the House Guard Agency had confronted him about his unorthodox and irrational behavior and methods.

"What he's done is completely against what a house guard is supposed to do, sir," the head of the agency informed him. "There's no justification for any of his actions against your wife and daughters. There's no way to sugarcoat this, but he'll be lucky if the state decides not to execute him on the rape charges alone."

"Have you heard?" His train of thought was broken by his younger stepdaughter, Yuki, reminding him that they were at the hospital for the last four hours.

"I'm sorry, what?" He asked her.

"Sayaka's being released," she told him. "She and the baby are doing fine."

"Oh. That's good."

"How are you feeling?"

"Disgusted with my son's behavior. Disgusted with my ignorance of what he was doing."

"What he did wasn't your fault. He's just a… He's just a terrible person right now."

"He wasn't always like this. How'd he get so terrible?"

Yuki couldn't answer that question, but she and her mother had to suspect that Kareki was hostile ever since she remarried and they moved in with her stepfather. She didn't blame them for his behavior, though; people that don't admit that something's wrong are the ones in the wrong during a personal crisis.

"Sayaka," her stepfather uttered to her, "is she really keeping the baby?"

"Yeah, that's right," she answered. "We can't exactly cast it aside just because the father is a… Well, won't be involved, can we?"

He sighed and nodded in the negative that they couldn't just because the father wouldn't be involved, and it was probably a good thing, too.

Epilogue

"It's a girl, Tsunetaka," the letter from his father read to Tsunetaka as he sat in his lowly prison cell doing life without parole. "Sayaka named her Tomoyo. Despite the terrible things you've done to this family, I pray she's the one good thing you did right…"

Tsunetaka ripped the letter up and sighed. There was no point in him knowing any of this, as he was going to die in prison because of those wealth-seeking intruders that invaded his home. And worse was likely that his daughter (despite not acknowledging the child as his) wouldn't even know he existed. One last "screw you" to himself by those women.

"Bitches," he muttered under his breath.

A/N: Originally, I was going to have Sayaka get assaulted by Tsunetaka, but then decided against it and had him attacked by the house guard men that came for him after she used her safe word. Now, whenever I look at the two episodes these chapters are based on, I feel better knowing that the house guard gets his comeuppance. Peace.
