Flashback
After the war, many have change in the surroundings, community, and people. A new wave of journey is already heading towards to a great future especially to the heroes of war.
"We are really greatful to you Naruto. Because of you, this long dreading war is over and the land of Suna will always be here to support you." the kazekage of Suna spoke to his great friend whom he also considered as his best friend.
"It was nothing Gaara. All of us did our best so stop thanking me already dattebayo!" Naruto answered.
"I still need to train harder to become the hokage. You already achieved that dream but I will never give up! Remember that!" he added.
"If you did not bumped my head hard during the chunin exam, I will never be here to where I am. That is why I am always greatful to you, Naruto." Gaara mentioned this to his friend while holding Naruto's shoulder.
They really became great friends but not only them, even the others became closer to each other
"Naruto, I need to ask where to find Sakura-san so that I can thank her enough for healing my companions during the war." Gaara asked his friend.
"Hmm, I think she returned already in baa-san's office. Kakashi sensei and her had seen Sasuke when he left." Naruto answered back.Both of them stood up and shake hands to bid their goodbyes to each other.
"See you again Naruto."
"Same to you Gaara. Next time that we see each other, I am already the hokage."
"I will wait for that day my friend."
The Kazekage already departed the room and asked his aid to just wait for him in front of the building.
He went straight ahead to the office of the former hokage.He knocked the door twice, after hearing the words 'come in', he opened the door and saw the person that he was really looking for.
"Gaara-san! What can I do for you? Did you already visited Naruto?" Sakura asked her unexpected visitor.
"Yes, I did Sakura-san. I am here to give my gratitude to you for helping my companions during the war." Gaara told her with a little smile plastered on his lips.
"Don't mention it. It is my job to heal our comrades so there is no need to do that. But still, thank you for showing your appreciation to my work." Sakura answered back with a big smile on her face.
Gaara stared at her for another minute without saying anything and for Sakura it was really awkward because they are the only one in the room.
"Hmm, Gaara-san do you still need anything that I could help you?" finally breaking the ice.
Sakura noticed that he inhaled much longer then exhaled and finally said this words:
"Sakura-san, I know this is not the time to say this but I will still open it. I don't want you to think that I am taking advantage of the situation. I just want to be sure that you know my intention.
"Sakura was listening attentively to the Kazekage. She did not want to interupt because she feels that it is not right to cut his talk.
"Sakura-san, if ever you get tired of waiting to the one you loved the most and you want to escape this land to forget, the land of Suna is open for you. We will welcome you with open arms because I am willing to wait for you."
Sakura's mind was slowly taking all what she heard. And the way that she interpreted it is also doubtful to her own mind. And Gaara noticed it.
"Yes, Sakura-san. That is a proposal. I will wait for your answer. But not right know because I want you to also consider me. Thank you again and goodbye, for now."
Gaara finally spilling his real intention towards the girl.He bid his goodbye to Sakura and she was finally alone in the room.
She took a sit and need to process what have had occurred a while ago. Finally realizing what had just happened, Sakura blushed really hard and touched her hot red face.The only thing in her mind is
'Am i dreaming?'
To know the answer, she pinched her arm and within a second she got her answer.
'Yeah it is real.'
She buried her flushed face to the pillow beside her and said
"They are making me crazy!".
And that is the flashback. I was smiling while imagining these things. Hoping that it really does happened in the series.
I think this will be a 4 chapter story. My mind is on a roll right now and it is not stopping.
It is also unexpected to have a SakuraxGaara moment. But dont worry. this is still a SASUSAKU fic. I just want to share what I have imagine between those two..
