Redgrove
Episode Six: Victoria's Secret
Featuring the Redgrove Doctor, the Alternate 5th Doctor, Janet Redwood, Tara Watson and Mr Thomas
The two Doctors reappeared in Redgrove HQ with the others, in front of the Master's corpse.
"Which one of you did this?!" the Doctor yelled to his team, furious.
"I did." Mr Thomas confessed.
"Why? Time has been reset, yes, but things have got a lot worse. Fallout from the other universe is trickling back through time and appearing throughout history."
The Doctor did a quick scan with his sonic screwdriver and found a trace of temporal energy.
"I think I've got something." he said, awkwardly looking at the two TARDISes parked in front of him, "Which one's yours?"
"This one." the other Doctor said, tapping the one on the right.
"Team, we've got work to do."
Redgrove entered the other Doctor's TARDIS and the TARDIS dematerialised, taking the team somewhere new.
Queen Victoria stared in amazement, as 122 Horseshoe Lane plummeted to the ground in front of her. She didn't recognise the house, naturally, but obviously noticed that a house plummeting to the ground from mid-air was bizarre. What was even more bizarre was that a tall blue box materialised in front of the house and a group of people came out of it, gazing at her in amazement.
"Is that Queen Victoria?" Tara wondered, pointing at the Queen.
"Ah, things may have become much more complicated." the other Doctor said, running over to the Queen and escorting her away. The Doctor, on the other hand, scanned 122 Horseshoe Lane with his sonic screwdriver only to find something very wrong: there were readings of chronodyx energy in the surrounding area. His face turned into one of pure amazement as he turned to face Tara and Mr Watson.
"Hang on, where's Janet?" the Doctor demanded, hoping that his friends would know.
Janet was with the other Doctor and the Queen, running away from the scene. They had found a nearby park to hide in and Janet was sat next to the Queen, startled by her presence.
"Doctor, any ideas?" she asked the other Doctor, hoping to get away from the obvious problem.
"Keep history on track. Make sure that no other pieces of fallout end up here. Tie up everything with a neat little bow." the other Doctor replied, smiling happily, "I know how to do that as well."
"How?"
The other Doctor stood up and placed her fingers on Janet's temples. After a few seconds, Janet collapsed, with her memories of Redgrove and the other Doctor gone. The other Doctor then placed her fingers on Queen Victoria's temples and erased her memories of the last hour. Having completed her job, the other Doctor walked back to her TARDIS, knowing that she had to do what she was going to do.
The Doctor, Tara and Mr Thomas were examining the inside of the house when they heard the sound of the TARDIS dematerialising. The Doctor sprinted outside and activated his sonic screwdriver at the TARDIS, but that had no effect.
"What the hell has that other Doctor done?" Tara asked, "And where's Janet?"
In response to her question, Janet emerged from a nearby park, with a look of confusion on her face.
"Excuse me, who are you?" she asked, "And what was that noise?"
"She's lost her memories of us." the Doctor concluded, "The other Doctor's playing a very dangerous game."
The other Doctor piloted her TARDIS to Gallifrey and landed it in the TARDIS bays, where the Master's TARDIS was parked. She stepped out of her TARDIS, holding a laser shotgun in her hands, and watched the Master rush to his TARDIS.
"Doctor, get out of the way!" the Master snarled, "I have such great plans ahead. You will burn before me!"
"No. You're going to die on Earth. That won't fix things though. So, I brought this." the other Doctor replied, showing off her laser shotgun.
"Are you really that pleased to see me?"
"I'm pleased to finally do something I should have done so long ago."
The other Doctor fired several shots at the Master, making him collapse to the ground. He grinned at her, as he began to regenerate. Regeneration energy poured out of his hands and head, straight into her. The other Doctor collapsed, weakened by the energy pouring into her. The change then occurred: the Master's old, bald face changed into that of a young blonde woman, and there was a loud scream as the change took place.
"What have you done?" the other Doctor demanded, unable to get up.
"Aah, Doctor, you've done what no Time Lord could ever do. You've burnt the timelines!" the new Master snarled happily, as she pulled out her laser screwdriver and fired it, at maximum power, at the other Doctor. A few seconds later, the other Doctor was lying on the floor, her eyes closed and with no life left inside her. The Master strode into the other Doctor's TARDIS and the TARDIS dematerialised.
The Doctor decided to sit down with Janet inside 122 Horseshoe Lane and discuss matters over a cup of tea.
"So, Janet, what's the last thing you remember?" the Doctor asked, sipping at his tea.
"How do you know my name?" she wondered.
"Doesn't matter. All you need to know is that I'm very concerned about you. Now, what's the last thing you remember?"
"I found a job application in the paper and then I ended up here. Where am I anyway?"
"You're in a house from another universe that's landed slap bang in the middle of Victorian London."
"That can't be right. How did I end up here?"
"Redgrove."
"Redgrove?"
"That's your reason. Someone wiped your memory of us and I need to get it back. For now though, we're trapped here unless we can find some method of time travel. That's what I've got my two other friends doing."
"I saw them."
"Good. I think this'll be our..."
He didn't finish his sentence. What cut him off was the fact that the house, along with the cups of tea the Doctor and Janet were holding, vanished.
"Oh no." the Doctor said, "The base has just vanished."
"Why are we just standing in a street?" Janet asked, having had her time traveller abilities taken away from her.
"Time has been rewritten in a catastrophic way. We need to find Tara and Mr Wallace."
Tara and Mr Wallace had found the Master and the other Doctor's TARDIS. They had been chained to a nearby lamppost and the Master was aiming a laser shotgun at them.
"The Doctor thought she could kill me," the Master said, ready to fire, "unfortunately she only scratched me. I killed her."
"Pity that you killed the wrong one." the Doctor exclaimed, kicking the laser shotgun out of the Master's hands and picking it up, "Now, stay here and do some good, or die."
"No."
"Did you open the barrier between universes? Is there universal danger?"
"No."
"Good."
The Doctor placed his fingers on the Master's temples and, after a few seconds, the Master collapsed to the floor.
"What did you do?" Tara asked.
"She won't remember who she used to be. A clean slate. She'll wake up and find herself on a street in Victorian London. Hopefully that'll turn out for the best. Come on, we'd better go home." the Doctor replied, entering the TARDIS with Tara, Mr Thomas and Janet. The doors closed and the TARDIS dematerialised shortly afterwards, a few seconds before the Master woke up.
"Where am I?" she wondered, getting up and walking over to a bench.
Her new life had begun.
