Hello dear readers ! I'm happy to see that I didn't get flooded with negative reviews so I guess it means the first chapter wasn't too bad. So guess what ? I was so bored that I ended up writting a whole chapter to pass the time during the confinement ...
Anyway, in this chapter I introduce Hinate was a certain special character (there won't be any OC in this story do not worry ... I hate OCs, too self centred and some times they end up ruining the universe)
For those who might ask how did this bonus character ended up with Hinita this will either be explained in the next chapter or in chapter 4 ! I just thought it would be interesting to try this out since no one else did as far as I looked.

Naruto was walking back to his hand made temporary shelter still a bit wet, he wasn't in a good mood since he could constantly hear Kurama chuckle in his mind "What's so funny ?" He finally asked putting an end to this akward moment.
"Haha nothing, but I have to admit I almost believed you didn't know how to swim" Kurama was almost right, Naruto didn't exactly know how to swim but he could manage to keep his head above the water.
"... What happened earlier ? You said we were running out of time, care to explain since you know everything?"
"Correction, I do not know evrything, even now I'm still making a lot of discoveries about this seal, your- ... Hokage built it so I could actually let a small amount of my chakra leak into your. Now about what happened at the lake ... I might have forgot that our connection wouldn't last for a long time"
"I don't understand ... we are talking together since I woke up, we never lost our connection"
"I'm not talking about this one kid, I'm talking about our chakra connection, if the seal was weakened then perhaps it would be more stable but back then I was constantly flooding the small passage with my massive amount of chakra"
"is there any way to fix this? ... what if we kept doing this over and over again? If we keep over filling the seal then it might actually loosen up a bit!"
The fox didn't answer, the kid wasn't a complete idiot, in fact he would even say he was brilliant but limited ... conditioned to try to get the attention of the villagers by desperate means, either to be noticed or to get small revenges on them. In the end all he would receive would be more hate than anything else. "Don't you dare think we will be doing this more than twice a day, my chakra isn't really made to be used by humans ... and even if you are slightly different from the others since you are a jinchûriki-"
"A what ? A ginchuruki ?"
"A jinchûriki, a person who hosts a tailed beast in their body, usually they have some advantages over the other humans ... I haven't seen any honestly so I can't really give you an example but to give you a concrete idea, your ability to heal quickly comes from me"
"So I might have other abilities ?"
"Yes, the connection we establish earlier might be one of those abilities, usually all jinchûriki can turn into a tailed beast but that would mean giving complete control to their demon and this isn't really a viable option since we tailed beast aren't very "cooperative" if I may say, the last two seals whom kept me imprisoned weren't made to turn me into a weapon, simple to keep me in a "safe" place"
"... how were the last two jinchûriki you had ?"
Kurama remembered what they had told him ...
"Obey..."
"Nine tails ..."
"When you exert your power you draw hatred to you, please stay quiet inside of me"
"You may be here to keep the world in check, but I'm here to watch you"
"They were ... different, very different" He felt that Naruto didn't feel satisfied with such an answer but the oid wouldn't understand how it feels to be in his position.
"... So ... was the seal designed to use you as a weapon ?"
"Not exactly, in fact I would say that the 4th modified it to protect you, both from me and from this world ... Do you fear me?"
"No, of course no, we are friend right? If we feared each others we wouldn't be friends ... or not real friends" Naruto had reach his temporary camping spot, he grabbed a few sticks and tried to light a fire using two stones a "bought" from a stupid shop keeper in Konoha, it soon ended up being a scam "OH comon ! How am I supposed to eat my ramens if I can't even start a fire to make the water boil"
Kurama sighed from the depth of Naruto's mind "If only you really know what it is to have problems in life ... I can't help you on this one sorry"
"You can't even teach me one of your awesome tricks? Like ... breathing fire ?"
"First walking on water is some sort of basis for every shinobi so don't you start thinking that you are exceptional ! And second I'm a fox ! Unless you are complete idiot, foxes can't brea- ... breath fire really ?"
"Yeah ! Just like a dragon !"
"... I can't breath fire"
"Says the giant fox with nine tails who battled against the 4th Hokage" Naruto had already thought a few times on his way back about their battle, he didn't really want to engage this subject with Kurama since it was linked to his last imprisonment. "... ah damn it"
"Do not tell me you bought ramens for the next days when you can't even start a fire"
"I thought it would be easier ! ... Sh-should I go back to the village? No it's too soon, the villagers would-" Naruto stopped at the thought of being hunted throught the village again, now that he knew exactly why the villagers especially hated him.
"I could help you to hunt, it has been a long time since I was out or since I decided to hunt anything for fun but I might be able to give you a few tips ... but remember this means you won't be able to cook anything so you will have to eat it raw"
"Raw ?" Naruto knew a bit why it was dangerous to eat raw meat like this, cooking it suppressed a lot ot bad things inside ... but he was different from regular humans right ? He was Kurama's jinchûriki, so he would be safe. "Y-yeah su-sure, let's try this"
Half an hour later.
Naruto had managed to find a rabbit following Kurama's directives ... and now he was just waiting for the right moment to catch it "Just tell me when I can go"
"It's all about patience for now mr fluffy here doesn't let you know that it heard or saw you but it definitely did, so stay on your branch, do not make too much noise and wait for it-"
Suddenly an orange figure jumped out from a bush and caught the bunny by the throat before running throught another bush "K-kurama ... was that a-another f-"
"You little bastard if I wasn't stuck inside this body I would be teaching you a lesson for stealing the pray of another hunter! And not any huntee it was my pray! Me the lord of the foxes! The great kurama, when I'm getting out I'm gonna hunt you down YOU AND ALL YOU DESCENDANTS"
"You mean our pray ?"
"SHUT UP ! THE ADULTS ARE TALKING"
"but he already ran away !" Naruto could swear after that he heard the fox screaming and felt a small disturbance in his body "Wow calm down! We just have to find another and-" Naruto felt another disturbance in his body, perhaps the same than the first one, he was hungry "Oh no ..."
Naruto ears twitched and so did Kurama's "Kid someone is coming in our direction ... but there is something strange with them"
Naturo nodded and climbed further up into a tree to get a better look, it was a young girl, and not any young girl "it's her ! The pale one with the blank eyes !"
"And it's only now you stop speaking out loud? ... you know her?"
"Uh, y-yeah I do but ... well she was being harassed by some stupid kids and I tried to help her, I knew one jutsu but it completely failed and I ended up receiving a nice beat up, when I woke up she had disappeared"
"Wait you know a jutsu ? But you don't even know about chakra?! Are you trying to kill yourself?"
"it was only supposed to be a closing jutsu! I read it wasn't dangerous but after I finish composing my signs there was only a weird and very tired version of me dying on the ground-"
"Too much chakra, since you didn't know how to manage your reserves you ended up using too much and it failed, you will tell me the signs later, perhaps I can give you something better than this trash technique"
"Hey it's not trash ! Apparently this is the one technique your are supposed to be able to do to become a genin !"
"Sush, your friend down there is doing something"
the young girl stared at a tree, she seemed to be focusing on something, she raised her hand in front of her and soon a blue substance appeared around them.
"Kurama is that-?"
"Matatabi?!"
The girl started yelling "Twij Lion fist !" She punched the tree in front of her with enough strength to make Naruto's one tremble "W-What was that?!"
"This, Naruto, was my sister's chakra, Matatabi. The girl standing down there is a jinchûriki just like you" Kurama never remember feeling Matatabi's chakra around him ... this girl was about the same age as Naruto and she lived in Konoha obviously, what was really intriguing is that he only felt his sister's powerful chakra now and never before "Be cautious, if I was able to feel my sister then she might be able to feel me too-"
While Kurama was warning Naruto the young boy was already on the ground running toward the girl "This was amazing !" He yelled behind her, Naruto expected that the girl would be surprised but he didn't thought she would literally fall on her back.
"Great job kid, you really know how to talk to girls, now Matatabi might think you tried to hurt her jinchûriki ... of she does manifest herself do not count on me"
Naruto had been staring at the girl while Kurama was talking to him, it didn't really help his case "h-hey sorry I didn't mean to scare you, I saw what you did and I really thought it was amaz-"
The girl abruptly stood up and bowed toward Naruto "t-tha-thank you !" The words seemed to have been forced out of her mouth as if she was scared of not being able to ever say it.
"Uh-s-sure but ... why ?"
"Y-you helped me ! ... d-d-do you remember ? The-the no-man boys, you attacked them toe-to-toe pro-pro-ahhhhh ahhhhh" she had trouble finishing her sentence so Naruto decided to help a bit.
"Yes I remember! How could I forget? Those guys were just a bunch of trash, someone had to teach them a lesson ... well even if I ended up losing ... I hope you managed to run away"
"Y-yes I did ... so-so, I never asked Y-you your name so-c-can you tell me ?"
"My name is Naruto ! Naruto Uzumaki, and you ?"
"H-h-hi-hinata, h-hinata Yuga, that-that's my name" Naruto felt akward talking to her, first because he had never talked to a girl for more than a few seconds or even had a real conversation with any ... he-he had to admit he found her really cute ... but why was she trying to hide her eyes ? Since she apologised she avoid eye contact with him.
"Is something wrong ? Are you hurt ?"
The girl gasped "A-are you saying this because-" the girls seemed to finally noticed she hadn't been looking at Naruto for the last minute "... it's my eyes" she finally looked directly at Naruto, she even blushed for a second when she did "P-people do not like them because they clearly identify me as a Yuga ... otherwise I think-I think i scare people"
"No ! That's not true ! I-I think they are b-beautiful really !" At the comment Naruto almost gave th girl a hearth attack, or at least that's what he thought when he saw her becoming completely red.
"H-hinata are you alright ?"
"Kid ... she is jusy really shy haven't you noticed? You just told her she had amazing eyes or something, what did you expect?"
"Don't you have any fox business?"
Kurama grabbed Naruto's spiritual body and pinched his head, back to the real world Naruto tried to not let the events happening in his mind affect the reality even if now he could tell that Hinata notices his VERY forced grin to cope with the pain.
Hinata was seeing everything in pink ... Naruto, his name was Naruto ... and he told her she had beautiful eyes.
"Hinata? Wake up? Do not let your guard down! There is something off with this boy"
"B-but ... Matatabi he-"
"He saved you when you were a bit younger I know I know but this boy ... he has a familiar sent, I can't quite put my claw on it ... just be careful around him ... also do not worry about earlier, you perfectly executed the movement your young body just lacks the strength to apply the correct amount of energy"
Hinata managed to regain her composure "S-sorry, I'm not feeling very well right now"
The boy offered her his hand, hesitantly Hinata accepted it "I have installed a shelter to spend the next days in the mountains, do you want to rest here ? I also have some food"
"You should accept, he is offering food and shelter ... then backstab him"
"W-what?! But why? He didn't do anything-"
"Yet ... I told you, I am not trusting this kid and you should do the same" the two tailed best felt Hinata's pain and tried to rephrase what she advised "I'm not telling you to hurry him before he does ... you have to understand that he could become your enemy at any moment"
"So who can I trust then? You? ... you are talking like father"
"I- ... I'm sorry ... I shouldn't have said that, perhaps you are right, perhaps this kid isn't a bad person, let's see what he has to offer"
Hinata accepted Naruto's offer and walked with him side by side.
"So, what are you doing here ? I saw you using- ... using a jutsu, were you practicing ?"
"Y-yes, it's a technique I created myself" explained Hinata showing a bit of Matatabi's blue and black chakra in her hands.
"I know you meant with my help do not worry" added Matatabi.
"That's amazing ! I felt the tree moving from my branch, I only know one real technique but it isn't really working out for me ... but I can also walk on water!" Naruto felt Kurama being worried about his last statement.
"You can? I thought only confirmed genins knew how to do it!" Hinata was really impressed but on the other hand Matatabi was even more suspicious.
At the same time they had reached Naruto's shelter, it wasn't really what Hinata had expected but she still liked how Naruto had changed the environment to temporarily live here.
"W-why are you here? I mean ... I can understand if you like to go on small trips but-but there was the 7th anniversary of the Kyubi's death yesterday, you don't like the festival ?"
Naruto rubbed the back of his head in confusion, how was he supposed to answer? "Well ... I don't really appreciate it and also the villagers have a bad habit of ... uh ... consuming to much sake around my house"
"... What about your parents ? They know you are he-"
"Dead" coldly answered Naruto "They are dead"
...
"I- ... I'm sorry" the girl felt guilty, she couldn't know about this but Hinata felt like she went too quickly with Naruto.
"What about your parents ? Last time I saw you, a bunch of bad people were harassing you and they weren't anywhere near you to help"
Now it was Hinata's turn to look down "My- ... my father is someone really important in the village, and he is the head of my clan ... he can't really give me much of his time"
"... and you mother ?" Naruto dared to ask the question even if he had a bad feeling about the answer.
"She died when I was five ... I also have a sister but- ... recently we became distant from each others" Hinata and Naruto sat on a big rock for a moment and none of them spoke to the other ... until their stomach growled.
"A-anyway, do you like ramens ?" Naruto went to grab his backpack and ran back to Hinata to present her the instant ramen cup he had.
"Y-yes I do-th-though I never made any myself ..."
"It's okay ! I will prepare it for you, I just need to make a fire, a bit of water and-"
At the same time each tailed beast whispered to it's respective jinchûriki something close from "You/He do/does not have any fire"
Naruto punched his own head in an attempt to make the fox shut up while Hinata was about to ask Matatabi for help "This is out of question, I am not some pair flintstones you can use whenever you need it"
"But Matatabi, he needs our help, your help ... and also ... " Hinata's belly growled again, she had to admit she hoped it would happen at this exact moment in order to trigger the tailed beast's maternal instincts.
"Grrrrr fine ... but then listen, there is something I want you to ask to the boy"
"H-hey I can help with the fire if you want" Hinata noticed the pile of sticks with a small metal pot next to it, she went near it and 0paced her right hand next to the pile "b-but ... if I help you ... can you show me how to walk on water?"
Naruto raised an eyebrow "Kid there is something fishy do not make promise you can't-" Naruto had already answered once again way before Kurama could finish "Of course!"
Hinata smiled and nodded, she went back to the pile of stick and focused, the chakra of Matatabi enveloped her right hand and after and a small trait of fire lighted a fire from the pile.
"Wooooow ! Hinata that's amazing !" Naruto got closer to take a look at the fire, at this rate the water would be boiling in a three minutes only "Alright! My turn now!"
"Kurama? Can you give me some chakra?"
"No"
Naruto kept the same smile he had a few moments ago when he was ready to impress his new friend but he started sweat dropping as he was approaching from the river.
"I beg you ?"
"Naruto this is a trap, first your new friend will certain be scared of seeing you getting engulfed by my chakra and second your friend is the jinchûriki of Matatabi, you haven't got that yet? We do not know how she is going to react once she discovers you are my jinchûriki"
"You fear your sister ?"
"NO ! Of course I don't fear her, I'm way stronger than she is but- ... she just doesn't really appreciate me"
"So you don't have any actual reason to deny ?" Naruto was just one step away from the water, he let Kurama think about it for a few seconds.
"Oh fine ... but I warned you, my sister isn't going to react peacefully, beside you could actually die if you tried to walk on the river with your own chakra"
Naruto felt Kurama's chakra flowing throught his body, it burned mess than the last time, as soon as he was completely covered by the yellow chakra he took his first step on the river "And that's how you walk on a river !" he turned around to wave at Hinata but now she looked very scared.
"I knew it! Stay right where you are Hinata, this boy is a jinchûriki just like you, the host of a demon, and not any demon! My brother Kurama"
Hinata wasn't really controlling her movements anymore, she felt Matatabi's chakra flowing throught her body "W-Wait ! I don't want to fight Naruto ! They aren't even attacking us !"
"It's not about your friend Hinata it's about my brother! Kurama is nothing but an arrogant and cunning lazy fox!"
"Let me take control! Let me beat her up!"
"You are not laying a single claw on Hinata !"
"It's not about your girlfriend kid ! It's about teaching a lesson to this manipulative sneaky pest of a cat !" Naruto didn't feel like he had control over his body anymore and neither did Hinata, both of them jumped in the air and were about to collide with each others.

...
Naruto woke up, he felt the same way as he did when he met ended up in his own mind, however his surroundings were slightly different, the sewers were still here but the walls of metal hab been mixed chaoticaly with rocks, trees, vines, at least now the ground wasn't filled with water, actually a nice path of grass had been built in the middle of the water ...
"Kurama? Where are you ?" He yelled as far as he could, Naruto couldn't tell how much time he spent the last time before actually finding the fox, now that the place was completely messed up he had no intention to try and eventually get lost.
"Naruto?" Called a voice behind him.
"Hinata! You are here too! Are you alright? I didn't mean to attack you I swear but Kurama got angry and-"
"It's-it's fine ma-Matatabi had the same reaction, sh-she is my tailed beast ... so-so you are one too?"
"Yeah sorry about this ... actually Kurama told me earlier when I saw you using your jutsu against the tree but he told me to avoid showing up who I really was, I guess I should have listened a bit more to his warnings ... so uh ... anyway welcome to my mind, wait what are you even doing here?"
"Uh ... Naruto that-that would be MY mind ... I mean- ... it does look different from mine but-" Their conversation was interrupted by a loud explosion which sounded really close from their position.
"Let's check it out" proposed Naruto receiving a node from Hinata, they didn't have to look far, Naruto saw a larger corridor which had to hint for something very special at the end of it, and he was right, as he ran in this direction he started seeing Kurama's cage ... but something was weird the bars of the cage were all twisted and mixed like the walls.
"What the-?"
"Naruto is that-?"
Hinata and Naruto slowed down as they heard growls and also feel the ground shaking, inside THE cage Kurama and Matatabi were having a hand to hand or rather claw to claw fight.
"Wet fox!" Matatabi headbutted Kurama sending him rolling to one end of the cage
"Kitty cat!" Kurama leaped in the air and stomped Matatabi
"We-we have to stop them! N-Naruto-" Hinata was about to ask for Naruto's help but the boy didn't seem to care as much as she did.
"... How about we let them fight ? I mean ... they aren't killing each others as far as I can see ... no?"
"B-but Naruto ... I don't want Matatabi to get hurt"
"Yeah ... it might be a good idea to stop them the-"
"THAT'S IT! I'M DONE WITH YOU! I'M ENDING THIS NOW!" Kurama leaped back in a corner of the cage and so did Matatabi.
"OH NO YOU DON'T !" Both tailed beast raised their head toward the ceiling and soon black particles appeared an converged respectively above their head.
"Matatabi! Stop!"
"Kurama that's enough stop it!"
Both children crossed the gates and ran back to their own bijuu, the tailed beasts didn't waste any time noticing that their jinchûriki were in their line of fire and both of them lost their focus to protect the kids.
Matatabi gently pushed Hinata on her side while Kurama abruptly pushed Naruto behind him with one of his tails.
"M-Matatabi-!"
"Hinata are you alright?"
"Pup! Are you hurt?
Naruto clenched his teeth and yelled as loud as he could "COULD YOU BEHAVE LIKE CIVILISED BEING AND NOT LIKE ANIMALS?" This earned him an uncomfortable stare from Kurama and a stare of defiance from the giant cat the other end of the room "WHY ARE YOU EVEN FIGHTING? AREN'T YOU SUPPOSED TO BE BROTHER AND SISTER ?"
"Naruto you misunderstood, technically she "is" my sister but not as a ... familial relative if I may say, Matatabi is my sister because we have the same origins and-"
"Ohhhhh listen kids, this is the all mighty Kurama! The nine tailed fox! The strongest of all the bijuus, look how smart he is"
"Can you behave like the kid asked ?"
"You are the one talking about behaviour, you are the one who broke the order of the old man !"
"Broke the order? BROLE THE ORDER?! SO THAT'S WHY YOU ARE ALL SO ANGRY! YOU THINK I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR ALL PUR TROUBLES ?"
Meanwhile Naruto and Hinata went back next to each others and tried to make sence with all the informations the tailed beasts kept spitting in the face of the other.
"You draw the first blood, do not try to hide it ... you turned all of us into monsters !"
"... I'm tired of being used as a weapon, if this is all the humans are able to see in me then I'm glad to enjoy drawing blood as much as I can!"
The two tailed cat looked down "You- ... for how many years have you been sealed ?"
"Does it matter ? ... Matatabi, can I apologise ?"
"For what exactly ?"
"Do I really have to specify a reason ? I would rather avoid fithong you and-" Kurama looked back at the kids "Your kitten is watching you"
"You have more right to call her like this ! Take back your pup now would you ?"
"And I was supposed to apologise ... I hope next time we met it won't he as unpleasant as now"
The ground faded around all of them, a bright light engulfed the realm and the sound soon faded ...
Naruto and Hinata woke up next to each other, a lot of time had passed, the sky was now orange, and the fire had been extinguished.
"W-what-? But-but it was noon just a few minutes ago !" Naruto checked his belongings just in case someone came by while their were ... unconscious ?
"N-Naruto-What happened ? You were walking on the river and then-" Hinita felt very tired, using her byakugan she checked her own body, she guessed right, it was probably due to Matatabi's fight with Kurama, now her chakra reserve were almost completely drained.
Naruto saw that Hinata had trouble standing up and quickly went to hold her up "Hinata ? Are you feeling sick ?" He helped Hinata to walk under his tent, she sat against a tree "Do you want some water? The one in the pot boiled so I guess you can drink it without trouble"
"Y-yes, thank you Naruto" the boy went looking for the pot "I-I think Matatabi used too much chakra compared to Ku-Kurama ... I re-remember she to-told me once a bijuu's power is l-linked to how many tails they have, K-kurama must be very strong if you are not tired like me"
In fact Naruto was as tired as Hinata, he was just trying to show off for her "Y-yeah ... b-but Matatabi is very strong too"

Naruto was surprised by this silence, he expected the fox to bark at him for making a compliment about the two tailed cat but instead he ended up with a long silence.
"Sh-shouldn't you be back at your house now ?" Asked Naruto worried that he might have put Hinata in trouble.
"N-no ... my father do not really care, not an-" Hinata stopped '"C-can I stay here ? Even just for the night ?"
"Hinata you can stay here for as long as you want ! You are more than welcomed !" Naruto offered his sleeping bag to Hinata, it didn't disturb him to sleep on the ground, also he could still use the great piece of tissue above them if he ever felt cold.
...
"Well we still haven't ate anything"
"I-I'm fine ... I can wait tomorrow ... Na-naruto, d-do you think Matatabi really hates Kurama ?"
"... She is angry against him but I do not think she really hates him ... she could have killed me and so she killed Kurama in the process, and Kurama could have done the same to you. They are just on bad terms but they do not hate the other ... Say ... does this changes anything ? I know it all ... it all went so quickly but- ... you are still my friend right ? It doesn't change anything ?"
Hinata blushed "N-no ... no it doesn't, I- ... I like you a lot Naruto"

"I like you a lot too Hinata"
