- (Stellaris FTL Nation Biographies and other Important Tidbits) -
Empyreal Hanjian: A Stellar Empire lead by the Chuan Dynasty, specifically Emperor Luedi. Situated in their namesake capital planet, Hanjian, the Empyreal commands the largest industrial base in all of the Communal Alliance. In addition to their numerous engineering feats such as the intimidating Battleships to their productive Mining Industry, they are also famous for their (mostly incorruptible) Centralized Meritocratic Bureaucracy which makes such a large yet unified Star Nation possible which is (in)famous for their cut-throat politics as each official strives to overcome their rivals through guile and overachievement. In terms of people, the Empyreal is famous for deploying some of the most disciplined military in all of the Galaxy and some of their most intrepid explorers or 'Empyreal Surveyors' in the official term. A select following of Hanjian are gifted with the ability of Psionics to the subpar comparison with their neighbors of the Ecclesiarchy. Supplementing their industrial might is their vast Army and Navy with a tradition of compulsory services of Three years for every Hanjian Male.
Their appearance are average built humanoid bodies with pinkish white skin and large purple irises. They tend to wear almost the same clothes for weeks on end due to their Sci-fi Imperial Chinese like clothes designed to be resilient for such periods without attaining too much stains and wrinkles.
Ecclesiarchy of Brannil: A once declining Holy Empire that had fallen under hard times before the dawn of the Khanate Wars. They used to be a galaxy wide empire but due to several internal factors had been reduced to only a single yet venerable fleet of Starships and an entire Star System. Yet what they lack in width, they made up with height. They have some of the most powerful Technology across the galaxy which the knowledge of making perfect replicas were unfortunately lost. Only Empyreal Hanjian and the Blorg Commonality can create subpar recreations of their technology. Despite of this, Brannillians, situated from their lofty spires of Sky Father are venerated across the known galaxy for their encyclopedic knowledge on the Psionic Shroud, an extra-dimensional plane that is the source of their powerful Psionic Network. They however, only ever use it with each other, dealing with the Empyreal Hanjian or talking with other star nations. This was caused by an incident of a Brannilian reading the mind of a famous Gaming Celebrity from Earth only to be traumatized by the Earthling's idea of 'Fun' is.
They are fae in appearance with viridian hair and eyes alongside their knife-pointed ears. Their nickname across the Commune shared by the other members is called 'Elf' coming from the Humans of Earth.
The Blorg Commonality: Affable despite their repugnant appearance, the Blorg Commonality are a nation of friendly but contrastingly ugly Fungoids. Standing on average of five feet tall and looking like they are just an amalgamation of reddish-brown fungal growth, the Blorg Commonality are best described as 'Fanatical Befrienders' for their affable approach to diplomacy with the teeth to match in case they ever run to hostilities. Another famous highlight is there achievements in Physics with the most potent Energy nexuses and Energy-based weaponry across the Commune. In spite of there achievements in Diplomacy and in Physics, they are when they are alone in the dark described as 'Insane' by even their deviant neighbor the Earthlings can say.
The Blorg and the Humans do share similar Cultural affinities with one another such as their mutual tastes in the arts which is 'everything goes' as best described by the Empyreal and the Ecclesiarchy. This is in part of the Blorg being the lucky recipient of the Voyager Sattelite that ended up in the hands of one of their Science Ships when caught drifting aimlessly in space. First contact between the Blorg and humans were initially shocking no thanks in part with Fungoid's unique appearance. But overtime, the Blorg and the Earthlings came to respect each other.
United Nations of Earth: The newest member of the Communal Alliance. At first glance these people were perhaps one of the least likeliest members of the Federation, whilst the Empyreal are authoritative and spiritual, the Earthlings are egalitarian and materialistic, whilst the Blorg are scientific and amiable, the Humans are dreaming and bouts of aloofness, whilst the Sek-Lakkor are Martial and destroy their problems, the Earthlings would rather bypass them with their vast amounts of wealth. But make no mistake, the Earthlings are an integral part of the Communal Alliance thanks in part of their industry remaining mostly intact after the end of the Khanate Wars since they leave by the far western edges of the Orion's Arm. They may lack in experience, they made up for it in acumen in trade and the arts prized through out the galaxy. This time to amass wealth or dabble in self-actualization is due in part of their rich culture of having entire hoards of Robotic servants manufactured to answer to their whims or to do the manual labor for them.
But make no mistake, they have a proficient Navy specializing the protection of their own trade routes or the interdiction of rival stellar nations when hired out to do so. Fighter crafts and Point Defense creates a very Carrier Centric navy in comparison to the Battleship-centric navies of all the rest of the Communal Alliance's combined fleets.
Their integration was through the combine diplomatic efforts of the Blorg Commonality who first met with Human explorers and a severed head of the Brannilian's great one eye Prophet, Zarqlan whose Tomb was found in a desert world that the Humans had colonized.
Their achievements in espionage and logistical support for the frontline fighting Hanjian and Sek-Lakkor Clans during the Khanate Wars earned them membership and the respect of the Ecclesiarchy despite their controversial dabbles into the perilous sciences of Artificial Intelligence which is a taboo for the Elven Branillians. However, the Humans reassure the entire Commune that the Artificial Intelligence will always be subservient no matter what through thick or thin, yet such honeyed words are yet to be shown as it was all 'tell'… for now…
For in the end, they are still looking for their one true purpose in this wide and expansive galaxy…
Sek-Lakkor Clans: Not a nation in the traditional interstellar sense, more of a loose coalition of Warlords that were a byproduct of the Khanate Wars. These Clans are a decentralized group of large 6-feet tall reptilians of Crocodilian likeness are renowned for their Warrior Culture and Physical attributes. They participated during the Khanate Wars as the first line of defense for what will become the Communal Alliance after the Khanate Wars. They were initially considered official membership by the vouching Empyreal Hanjian who had a previous history of using Sek-Lakkor warriors as mercenaries but was denied by the other states due to their violent nature of 'Blood Feuds' between clans or any perceived offenders in their tongue, 'Dwamak'. That however hasn't stopped significant portions of them emigrating to Empyreal Hanjian space throughout the pass fifty years.
the Communal Alliance of the Orion's Arm: Formed initially as Military alliance by Hanjian (with association with the Sek-Lakkor Clans) and the Ecclesiarchy of Brannil in response to the invasion of the Asteroidean Hordes. It later evolved to add the Blorg Commonality and the United Nations of Earth as members. From a Military Alliance, the Commune expanded to economic trade and scientific research agreements. Each member has a specific role in that ensures the Federation's continued existence and progress. Empyreal Hanjian and the Sek-Lakkor Clans make up the bulk of their Army, the Blorg and the Earthlings are in charge of keeping the interstellar hyper lane networks moving with needed goods throughout the Federation and the Ecclesiarchy with their Acumen will provide the much needed scientific basis for the Federations advancement whilst also handling any affairs that concerns the mysterious Shroud or any external affairs with outside Stellar Nations.
the Khanate Wars: Also known as 'Ideology Wars' due to the contrasting trains of thoughts the Initiated by the Molluscoid Martial Dictatorship of Asteroidean Hordes and their Satrapies and 'mutual interest partners' the Ostrakine Technocracy who is an ideological rival of the spiritualistic Ecclesiarchy for their excessive abundance of Materialism and 'short-sighted greed' that disgust even the enterprising Humans. The war ended at the great battle of Syrenian Star when a combined Hanjian, Blorg and Brannillian fleets ambushed the isolated Asteroidean Main fleet and nearly mortally wound their Flagship, the Blood Drawer. The great Galleon armed with Ostrakine technology, held the Hordes' leader, their Khan, as its captain, managed to flee into hyperspace before the Hanjian Navy could deliver the killing blow. What could have been what the bards and news casters would describe as a 'War in Heaven' ended up as a humiliating defeat for the Asteroidean and their Technocracy benefactors.
The war's consequential destruction however drew lasting scars to Empyreal Hanjian, the Brannillians and the Sek-Lakkor that they are still recovering from to this day.
