*DISCLAIMER* I still don't own Victorious...or any of the characters... Dan does :(

Here's the next chappie...I wasn't really satisfied with it, but I hope you guys are. If there are any of you even reading this, PLEASE REVIEW! I just want to know if what I'm doing works or if I need to fix some things. Even if it's just my grammar bothering you, I WANT TO KNOW. But yeah please review. It might even make me want to upload faster. Also if any of you have ideas for another chapter or even another story (doesn't have to be Victorious) I would live to hear them. Ok I'll stop rambling now.

Additional AN - italics = thoughts (at least for this chapter)

Chapter II - Struggling with feelings (the bird scene)

Tori POV

The next day at my new school was not exactly fun. Trina was not helping either. She saw me struggling with all my stuff to put in my locker, and just laughed when I fell down. She claimed she had her hands full with her coffee, which she gave to me when she saw the new play rosters. Looking through the plays, she claimed she would be perfect for all of them; she wouldn't be. Now I'm not saying I would be, I've just seen firsthand what she does on stage.

I passed Jade in the hallway who also offered no help as I was struggling with all of my books and binders. I finally saw Andre, Robbie, and Rex, who helped me shove all of my stuff into my locker.

After we got everything in, Andre asked me what I was gonna do with my locker.

I looked at him confused. "What do you mean?"

Robbie jumped in, "Everyone at Hollywood Arts has to customize their locker."

I didn't know what I was gonna do, so I asked them what they had done. Robbie, being Robbie, had made a mosaic of baby bottle tops, while Andre made his locker a piano he could actually play.

As I was looking back at my blank locker, wondering what I was gonna do with it, Sinjin snuck up behind me and showed me his. Sinjin being gross and disgusting, showed me his. He had thrown food that he hadn't swallowed on it. I got out of there as fast as possible. This school is anything but normal.

In Sikowitz's class, Jade and Cat were performing a scene, but I couldn't pay attention. I may or may not have been staring at a certain someone.

Beck POV

The bell rang to go to lunch and Cat was excited again, after Sikowitz for some strange reason threw a ball out her face. That man has issues. I walked out with Jade, but I couldn't help but notice that Sikowitz wanted Tori to stay for something. I wonder what that's about.

Tori POV

As I was heading out the door, Sikowitz threw a ball at my face, nearly missing my head. He told me he wanted me to stay back for a second. I wonder what he wants.

"I hear you've signed up to audition for a play."

"Yeah Andre told me I should because he wrote the music to it."

"You should definitely audition. But you can't."

"Huh?" I was confused as to why my acting teacher was telling me I couldn't audition for a play. Wasn't this supposed to be a place where they encouraged students to audition for plays and promoted the fine arts?

"Before any student can audition for any role in any play here at school, they must first pass The Bird Scene."

Beck POV

Sitting at lunch with Andre and Robbie (and Rex), I was perfectly content eating my food and drinking my drink, and definitely not thinking about someone who isn't my girlfriend, until Andre asked an out of the blue question.

"You know where I can buy a pair of ballet slippers?"

Robbie and I looked at him confused.

"Umm. No. I don't."

"Why would you want ballet slippers?"

Andre looked at us all smug, " Because I signed up for ballet."

"Woah, hold up, isn't ballet kinda girly?" Robbie asked.

"Yep. Just me in a room with a bunch of girls. You guys pickin' up what I'm puttin' down?

Robbie looked lost. "Umm..no.", he said.

I looked at him and slowly explained. "A lot of girls. In one room. Who dance. All stuck with him.

It took him a couple seconds to process what I'd said, but he finally got it, or at least pretended to.

"Hey would it be okay if I signed up too?" Robbie asked very awkwardly.

"Yeah man, go for it." André replied

"Hey what about you Beck? Wanna join us?"

"Nah, Jade signed me up for salsa dancing."

Tori POV

I walked into Sikowitz's class and I was terrified but also excited at the same time. I was performing The Bird Scene today. Well, here goes nothing.

Sikowitz announced that it was time for me to perform so I went up on stage and performed it. I thought I did pretty well. I even used an old country voice. When I was done, I looked up and asked if the scene was good and if I did it right.

Sikowitz answered "Oh. No, not at all."

I asked him what I did wrong as he pushed me back to my seat, but he wouldn't answer. He said he couldn't give me any feedback on what I did wrong. What the heck? How am I supposed to do it right if I don't know what I did wrong?

Beck POV

I felt bad for Tori; I couldn't help her though. She had to figure it out on her own.

As we were walking out of Sikowitz's class, Tori jumped on all of us and asked what the heck she did wrong. But all of us knew we couldn't help her. She complained that we were supposed to be her friends and that friends help each other out.

Once we got to Tori's locker, which was the closest to Sikowitz's class, Jade took one look at it and asked in a rude voice, "That's what you did to your locker?"

"Well yeah, it's a whiteboard and some colorful markers so anybody who wants to draw on it can."

"But you're supposed to decorate it yourself." I interrupted.

"Yeah. It's like a Hollywood Arts tradition." Cat cut in.

"Ughhh" Tori sighed, taking her magnetic white board off her locker, making it a clean slate once again.

The next day in class, Tori performed it again. She did the scene wonderfully, and attempted to bribe Sikowitz with two coconuts, which I knew wouldn't work but was absolutely adorable. No Beck, you live Jade, and have for 2 years. Tori hasn't been in your life for a week yet. Just let these feelings fade.

After she performed her scene wonderfully, she got it wrong, again. If she would just have enough confidence she wouldn't be so frustrated with herself. I really want to help her but I know I can't.

After class, I found Tori at her (still undecorated) locker throwing her books in her locker with a frustrated look in her face.

"What'cha doin'?"

"Angrily shoving books in my locker can't you tell?"

As she closed her locker I noticed she now had a pink stripe taped across the top half of her locker.

"You decided what you're gonna do with your locker yet?"

"It's decorated! Do you not see the pink stripe?" She said, obviously frustrated that she couldn't think of anything else.

"You should try doing something creative, you wanna see mine?"

"Sure."

I showed her my transparent locker and she looked even more frustrated than she had before now that she couldn't figure out her locker or The Bird Scene.

"Hey, look, you just need to relax a little bit. You'll figure it out. Hey, you wanna go get frozen yogurt after school or something? Jade has an appointment with a therapist that her dad is making her go to so you won't have to feel awkward."

"J-Just the two of us?"

"Yeah why not?" I responded, secretly excited that she was a little nervous that it was going to be just the two of us.

"I-I'd love to, b-but I-I just remembered that umm that I have a thing t-tonight." She said back away.

I was really disappointed. I guess she doesn't like me like that. I don't like her like that either.

Walking to class, I couldn't get that disappointed feeling out of my stomach. I was just glad I didn't have this class with Jade. She would've known something was wrong, and for whatever reason, I could not lie to her.

I was walking out to the parking lot when suddenly I saw Jade come up to me looking at me like she knew something I didn't.

"Hey babe," I said leaning down to kiss her.

She smiled one of her smiles and we walked out of school together. As I was driving her home the car ride was silent, unlike usual.

Once I dropped her off, I went home and just laid down thinking about how I was so disappointed when Tori said she had plans. I had to get that girl out of my head.

Jade POV

When I saw Tori and Beck alone in the hallway talking about what she was going to do with her locker I hid where they wouldn't see me and just watched them. I know, I know, I'm a stalker, but this is my boyfriend we're talking about. And with Tori nonetheless. When Beck started asking her to go somewhere with him because I was going to be busy, I swear my walls I had worked so hard to build up came crashing down and I had to sit for a minute to calm myself down.

Once the coast was clear and Tori had left, I walked up to Beck as he treated me like normal like he hadn't just asked Tori out behind my back.

On the car ride home, I decided not talking was best, so the car was silent. I knew that if it wasn't silent I would break and he would see just how broken I am.

No one. No one needs to know just how broken I am.

Please tell me if y'all liked this or not, because then I can figure out how to fix it.

Also- Thank you to those who put me on author and story alert! That is much appreciated on this end!
