Fairy Dust

Note: This takes place after the war with Alvarez, but not long before the 100 Year Quest.

"Why are we doing this?" Natsu whined, as he goose-stepped his way down the road, "I wanna go on the 100 Year Quest!"

"We need some extra money before going out for a long haul like that," Lucy said as she walked beside him, "Who knows how long it could take?"

"But this seems so boring," Natsu whined.

"I'd hardly consider a quest like this 'boring'," Carla said from her position in Wendy's arms.

"It's so weird," Gray said (already devoid of a shirt), "How does half a town just vanish?" Team Natsu was currently on an S-Class job in the Northern reaches of Fiore. According to the request, there was a town on the coast where, almost instantly, half the town seemed to just… disappear.

"What could've caused something like that?" Wendy asked.

"Could it have been something like what Zeref could do?" Lucy suggested.

"They didn't say that the people were dead," Erza said from the head of the troupe with her vast amount of luggage, "Just that they disappeared. We can find out the details when we get there. It shouldn't be far now."

True enough, after a little less than an hour of walking, before they came upon a costal town, maybe about the size of Hargeon. It looked otherwise normal, but as the mages started walking down the street, they noticed how… empty the town was. They only saw maybe only a few people every few hundred feet. It was really like the entire population had just been cut in half. On top of that, every person looked absolutely broken, like they had spent every waking hour crying.

"This place is so…," Wendy trailed off; there wasn't really a word that she could think of to describe how things were here. Lucy and Wendy instinctively moved closer to Natsu. Soon enough, they were meeting up with the guy in charge.

"Can you tell us what exactly happened here?" Erza asked.

"It was just another, normal day," the man said slowly, hanging his head, "Then, all of a sudden, people began to turn to dust and disappear. It was as if massive hand came down and just brushed them all away."

"Mr. Mayor…," Erza began.

"I'm not actually the mayor," the man interrupted sadly, "I was the mayor's secretary, but the mayor was among the people who disappeared." The Fairy Tail mages exchanged looks with each other, not sure how to respond to that.

"Can you tell us anything more?" Erza asked, "Was any particular group singled out?"

"No, it seemed completely random," the secretary explained, "No one group lost more people than the others. I'm sorry, but that's really all I can for certain. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason to any of this." With nothing more they could really ask, the group gathered outside town hall to consider their next move.

"Well, that accomplished nothing," Gray grumbled.

"What kind of magic could do this?" Wendy asked.

"I've never heard of magic that can do something like this," Erza said, "At least not this precisely."

"Could it be something to do with the town?" Lucy suggested.

"I wouldn't bet on that," Carla said, as she and Happy descended from their scouting over the town, "We scoured the whole area. Nothing seems to be out of the ordinary."

"It's just really empty," Happy piped up.

"Well, that's what we thought back on Galuna Island at first," Erza said, "Let's explore the surrounding area some." With that, the group struck into the woods surrounding the town, looking for any evidence of anything.

"I wonder how long this will take," Lucy muttered to herself.

"What was that?" Gray asked.

"Oh, just thinking out loud," Lucy answered, "I had to listen to Natsu complaining that the whole journey here."

"We'll be done the sooner we find some clue," Erza said, as she fell to one knee, running her hand over the ground, "It's so strange. Normally magic leaves some sort of trace, even the slightest amount."

"What if it's not magic?" Lucy suggested.

"Come on, that's impossible," Gray said, "No one could do this without magic."

"I know, it's just an idea," Lucy said.

"At this point, I'm willing to consider any idea," Erza said, as she got to her feet. As he said that, Natsu and Wendy floated down, being carried by their Exceeds (Carla was in her human form by this point).

"You've got anything?" Gray asked.

"Yeah, we've got a scent of something," Natsu said. That made the non-Dragon Slayers perk up slightly.

"Well," Erza said, "It's a start."

"Do you know what it is?" Lucy asked. Natsu and Wendy looked at each other briefly at that as they were set on the ground.

"It…. it doesn't smell like anything I've ever smelled before," Natsu said.

"Me neither," Wendy said slowly, "It almost smells like it shouldn't be here at all."

"We'll figure that out later," Erza said, "Lead the way." The Dragon Slayers did exactly, and while they weren't sure what they were expecting, they certainly weren't expecting what they found.

They come up to a small cliff that was over the ocean, with a small rock, but it was who was sitting on the rock that really caught their eye. It was a towering figure in golden armor, messing around with a small rock in his massive hand. He seemed to have purple skin, was bald, and had a large wrinkled chin. Sitting on the rock beside him was a golden helmet. Upon noticing the mages arrival, he glanced up, sending a chill down the spines of the assembled mages. His aged eyes had an experienced, wise look to them, but were also piercing, and hard. As they approached, the being gave an amused smile.

"I suspected someone would arrive," he said, as he looked back at the rock in his hand, "Didn't imagine it would be children, though."

"Who are you?" Erza demanded, as she summoned a sword into her hand.

"My name is Thanos," the being answered, not really looking up.

"Never heard of you," Gray said, as he put his hands together in preparation to fight.

"You wouldn't," Thanos said with a slight snort, "I am not of this world."

"Not of this world?" Wendy echoed.

"The hell does that mean?" Natsu asked.

"Exactly what it sounds like," Thanos answered, as he looked up at them. That certainly aught the group off guard. This guy wasn't from Earthland? Then where was he from?

"As a matter of fact," he continued, as if anticipating the question, "I'm not even of this universe."

"You're from Edolas?" Happy asked. Thanos blinked, as if that name surprised him.

"No," he answered, as he got a thoughtful, "But I am intrigued to hear about this 'Edolas'. I imagine this isn't where I am now."

"It isn't," Natsu said, as he cracked his knuckles, quickly deciding he didn't like this guy. Thanos eyed Natsu, as if considering him slightly.

"Well, that will be a question for another time," he said, before glancing at Lucy and calling out to her, "Tell me, child, what is the name of this world?"

"Excuse me?" Lucy asked.

"I prefer not repeating myself," Thanos said, eyeing the blonde, as Natsu positioned himself in front of her.

"Uh… Earthland," she eventually answered.

"'Earthland'?" Thanos echoed, as he sniggered slightly, as he looked back at the rock, "How fetching."

"Are you the one who cast that spell of the town?" Erza asked.

"I am," Thanos answered simply, not even looking up, as if it didn't even matter to him. But it definitely mattered to the Fairy Tail mages. This guy singlehandedly wiped out half of an entire town?

"How?" Wendy asked. Thanos was silent for a time, as if he was contemplating whether or not they were worth explaining it to.

"I suppose there is no harm in showing you," he finally said, "It won't affect the result in the end." He then held up his gauntlet, showing it had six glowing jewels, five in his knuckles and one back of his hand in the according colors of the rainbow. All seven mages stared at the gems as they glowed intensely.

"That power," Wendy murmured. They had all witnessed truly powerful forces, be it in the form of people, dragons, and even the occasional god. But those stones; they were something far more than any of that. The power they felt off them… it was almost smothering.

"What… what're those things?" Carla asked out loud, before she gasped, having almost forgotten to breath.

"Relics of creation," Thanos answered, admiring the Stones briefly.

"Why did you do this?" Erza asked, pointing her sword at Thanos, "What do those people have to do with any of this?"

"I needed to confirm if the power of these Stones can affect other universes," he said, as he looked aside, and into the woods.

"That's it?!" Gray snapped, "You were just testing things?"

"I did what was necessary," Thanos answered coldly, looking back at the mages, "They'll thank me in time, as will you all." Even Natsu didn't take long to put two and two together with that. Whoever this Thanos as, and however he did what he did, he was going to do it to all of Earthland. That was something none of them were going to let happen, let alone Natsu…

"YAAAHHH!" Natsu roared, as he leapt into the air, igniting his fist.

"Natsu!" the whole group called at once as Thanos just looked up at him calmly.

"Fire Dragon's Iron Fist!" Natsu declared as he brought his attack down on the Titan. However, Thanos just clenched his fist, as the purple stone flashed. There was a shock of purple energy, which sent Natsu careening away.

"Natsu!" Wendy called as she ran over to him to make sure he was okay. Natsu sat up with a gasp, holding his chest. That was possibly some of the rawest, most primal forces he'd ever felt, and this was the guy who fought Acnologia. Meanwhile, Thanos tossed the rock to the side as he stood up to his full height, showed him to be at least twice as tall as any of the people there.

"I will say this," he said, "Your magic is quite unlike any I've seen before." He then picked up his helmet, and put it on.

"Why don't you each give me a demonstration?" Thanos suggested as he clenched his gauntlet, all six Stones glowing ominously. That was all Fairy Tail needed to hear.

"Ice Make: Cannon!" Gray said, as he created a cannon of ice, and fired it at Thanos. The Titan, however, activated the blue stone, causing the massive block to phase right through him, and fall of a cliff.

"What the…" Gray couldn't finish as Thanos flicked his wrist, the purple stone lighting up again, creating a shockwave that sent Gray tumbling away. This left it as Erza's turn, who shifted into her Heaven's Wheel Armor. Summoning up several swords at once, Erza sent them all Thanos way, only for him to use the same purple stone to knock all the swords away. Erza then launched herself at him, swinging her sword. Thanos easily dodged the sword, though Erza quickly followed up using the sword in her other hand to slash at him again. Thanos just held up his hand, and the sword broke against the gauntlet, before he socked her in the gut, sending her tumbling away.

"Star Dress: Virgo Form!" Lucy said, as she activated her Star Dress, and descended into the ground. She came up from beneath Thanos, punching up, and while she managed to score a hit, Thanos did not look the least bit phased by the strike. He quickly grabbed Lucy by the throat, and lifted her up.

"Interesting," he mused, as he looked the struggling girl over, "This is strange magic indeed."

"Lucy!" Natsu cried, as he leapt forward, Wendy not far behind him, "Fire Dragon's Roar!"

"Sky Dragon's Roar!" Wendy echoed, releasing her own breath attack. The two attacks came together, as Thanos looked up to see that. Tossing Lucy aside, Thanos activated the blue stone, as the attacks were drawn into it. With a yell, Thanos released the attack at the Fairy Tail mages.

"Scatter!" Erza called out. The group tried to run away as the stream of Dragon Slayer magic blew through the area. Charging through the dust, Natsu ignited his fist again, only for Thanos to clench his fist, as the red stone glowed. The air rippled, before chains suddenly manifested out of nowhere, binding Natsu, and causing him to fall to the ground. He was then promptly kicked in the stomach, sending him tumbling away. Natsu hacked up a little blood at the force of the strike.

"Ice Make: Hammer!" Gray said, as he brought down an ice hammer on Thanos, who just punched up, shattering the hammer with ease. He activated the purple stone again, blasting the Ice mage away.

Erza tried to follow up on that, assuming her Purgatory Armor, and leaping at Thanos with the massive sword. However, Thanos clenched his fist, the blue stone activating, as the armor she was wearing began to contort and cave, as she cried out in pain, before Thanos swung his gauntlet, sending her tumbling back into the trees. Then it was Wendy's turn, as she activated Dragon Force, and launched herself at Thanos.

"Sky Dragon's Wing Attack!" Wendy said, bring her wind enhanced arms down at once. Thanos activated the red stone again, as the wind immediately vanished. Before Wendy could even wonder what had happened, he then activated the purple stone, blasting her away again. Fortunately she was caught by Carla.

"Are you okay?" Natsu asked, as he came up, being held by Happy.

"I think so," Wendy answered, rubbing her aching head, "How do we beat him?"

"You don't," Thanos answered, somehow hearing them.

"That's what you think!" Natsu said, as he ignited both of his fists. Happy then dove down with Natsu in his arms, as Natsu brought his fists together.

"Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame!" There was a tremendous burst of heat and fire, so much that it singed the surrounding fields, and consumed Thanos.

"Did you get him?" Happy asked as he brought Natsu back. Natsu didn't answer, as he glared down at the fire. True enough, the fire snuffed itself out with a swing of Thanos fist.

"I will give you this," the Titan said, dusting his armor off slightly, "you are nothing if not persistent."

"You don't know the half of it," Gray said, as the Fairy Tail mages regrouped.

"Trust us, if there's anything our guild is, it's persistent," Lucy said.

"Guild?" Thanos asked, arching an eyebrow, before narrowing his eyes, "I see. So, you're mercenaries."

"Mercenaries?" Wendy asked. That was the first time anybody had referred to them as like that.

"People who do what they do for financial reasons rather than ethical ones," Thanos said, his voice dripping with disgust, "You're only loyalties lie to the highest bidders." That offended the mages there.

"You don't know us," Erza said, as she shifted into her Clear Heart clothing, as she held two katanas at the ready, "Don't presume to know what our way is like."

"You said yourself you're not of this world," Lucy said, as she assumed her Sagittarius Star Dress, "We're not going to let an alien tells us what we do!"

"We're going to win this battle!" Natsu declared, slamming his fist into his palm, "It doesn't matter how long it takes, or how many times you knock us down! We will defeat you!" Thanos looked at the Fairy Tail mages getting ready to fight, and was silent for a time, before he laughed slightly, shaking his head.

"A battle?" he asked as if the usage of the word amused him, "Oh my children, this was never a battle. This was me humoring your courage. If I wanted to, you'd all have been dead long ago." He then held up his gauntlet, as all six of the stones glowed in sequence.

"I could use the Power Stone to grind your bodies into nothing, I could use the Space Stone to scatter your atoms across this universe, I could use the Reality Stone to transform you into ants and crush you under my boots, I could use the Soul Stone to draw your souls from bodies and end you instantly, I could use the Time Stone to age you all into dust, or, I could use the Mind Stone to turn all against each other. The simple fact of the matter, is none of you could ever hope to defeat me." As they stared at him, hearing that all made it all the more clear to the mages. They really had no chance against this guy.

"So we fight anyway!" Natsu declared, saying what they were all thinking, as all the mages immediately scattered around Thanos, who clenched his fist in anticipation. True to form, Natsu was the first to attack, as he activated his own Dragon Force.

"Fire Dragon King's Demolition Fist!" he roared, as he brought one of his most powerful attacks down on the Titan. Unfortunately for the Dragon Slayer, as powerful as it was, Thanos held the primal source of all power in the universe. The raw energy of the Power Stone clashed briefly with the dragon fire, before the former overcame the latter. Natsu was blasted away, and sent grinding into the earth. Wendy then came at him with Carla.

"Sky Dragon's Roar!" Wendy released her signature attack, but Thanos easily blocked the attack with the energy of the Space Stone. The Sky Dragon Slayer was then dropped by Carla, and while her fall was being slowed by the wind, she spread both her arms. A massive swirl of wind surrounded Thanos, who looked around in slight surprise.

"Shattering Light: Sky Drill!" With that, Wendy swung both her arms in, creating a huge burst of wind that consumed Thanos. Wendy smiled slightly, but it didn't last, as Thanos activated the Reality Stone again, which turned the wind into a torrent of winged creatures. The creautres then promptly swarmed Wendy, and she cried out as she was forced into the ground.

"Wendy!" Carla cried, as she darted over towards her ward. Erza was next, as she came up with both of her blades. She made several slash attempts at Thanos, only for them to harmlessly deflect against his armor. Thanos then activated the Reality Stone, as Erza was made to watch as both her swords suddenly turned turned to bubbles and vanished in her hands. In response, she re-quipped into her Flame Empress Armor, and swung her blade wide, creating an arc of fire, which Thanos negated with the Space Stone. While he was distracted on Erza, Gray came up behind him, his Devil Slayer Magic active.

"Ice Devil's Rage!" Gray roared, as he released a vicious burst of ice at the Titan. Thanos held up the Space Stone, and manage to make a shield for himself. Right then, Lucy notched her star bow, and fired seven separate glowing arrows at him. Starting to get annoyed, Thanos thrust his fist down as the Power Stone glowed. A massive shockwave resonated across the area, knocking all the mages to the ground. Thanos took a breath as he noticed Erza trying to get up. Frowning slightly, he came over to the scarlet-haired mage, as he clenched his fist. He put his boot on Erza's back, pinning her down, as the Power Stone started to glow. However, when he did so, he was hit by a… fish? Many things had happened to Thanos in his days, but this was certainly a new one. Looking up, he noticed Happy holding a fish with his hand.

"Leave them alone!" he shouted, as he threw another fish at the Titan, who batted it aside. Using his speed, Happy tried to get away. Unfortunately, Thanos activated the Space Stone, drawing Happy back into him.

"Insect," Thanos growled, as he squeezed, ready to crush Happy with one hand.

"No!" Carla cried, as she suddenly came up, giving a kick to the side of Thanos face. However, the Titan didn't even flinch as Thanos looked up at her. A shock of pain went across Carla's leg, having crashed against his armor, as cried out, holding her leg, as Thanos quickly seized her by her throat with his free hand. With that, he got ready to snap the cat girl like a twig.

Fortunately for the Exceeds, he was struck by another star arrow. Glancing up, he noticed Lucy had pulled herself to her feet. Quickly interests in the cat and the girl, Thanos tossed both side, and advanced on her position.

"I won't let you hurt my friends!" Lucy declared, confidently, but shakily.

"You may not be able to affect anything to that end," Thanos said coldly.

"Just you wait." The blonde then held up her hands, as she started to glow. Intrigued by this, Thanos decided to do exactly that, as he arched an eyebrow.

"Survey the Heavens, Open the Heavens," Lucy chanted, "All the stars, far and wide, show me thy appearance with such shine. Oh Tetrabilios, I am the ruler of the stars, aspect become complete. Open thy malevolent gate. Oh 88 Stars of the heaven, shine!" All around Lucy, glowing, starry orbs appeared. Thanos looked with could best be described as mild interest.

"Urano Metria!" All the power of the spell was unleashed on the Titan, who just held up the gauntlet. There was a massive flash of light and energy, and Lucy smiled triumphantly. That was until a shape emerged from the dust.

"Well, color me impressed. That could've potentially done damage if to for the Stones," he said as he glanced at his gauntlet, with all the Stones glowing to their full potential, "You are skilled to be sure. If the circumstances were different, I would've wanted you as one of my warriors." Lucy couldn't answer as she stared in horror. All that power, and even then, she hadn't even scratched. Just how powerful was this guy?

"Well, I believe that is the best it may yet get," Thanos said, "But I'm afraid I may have spent too much time here." He then held up his gauntlet, as he looked up at the group and the Stones started to glow even brighter than earlier.

"Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, Erza Scarlet, Gray Fullbuster, Wendy Marvel, Happy, Carla," he said. They weren't going to wonder how he knew their names. Something like that seemed like small stuff compared to everything else. As he was talking, Natsu weakly rose to his feet.

"I thank you for this demonstration. It truly was a sight." Natsu let out one final roar, as he charged forward, with his fist again coated in fire.

*SNAP

There was a brilliant white flash that consumed the area, so great the group had to hide their eyes from the light, and Natsu lost his footing. When it faded, though, nothing seemed to have changed.

"That's it?" Gray asked, "After all that, he just snaps his fingers?"

"What did you just do?" Erza demanded, as she pulled herself to her feet. Thanos however, just ignored her, as he looked into his gauntlet.

"One universe down," he muttered, as he held up his hand, as the Space Stone glowed, manifesting a swirling blue rift in front of him. He then stepped into it.

"Wait!" Natsu yelled, as he tried to jump at the portal, but Thanos was long gone.

"What just happened?" Gray asked, as he pulled himself up.

"I've never seen power like that," Wendy said, as she went over to the unconscious Carla. Natsu, meanwhile, collected Happy off the ground.

"Let's regroup for the time being," Erza said as she pulled herself to her feet, "Perhaps we can…" Suddenly she stopped talking, as she looked down. Her hands were turning to dust, as was her whole body. She looked up at her friends who were staring in horror.

"Erza?" Lucy asked, as she tried to reach for her. However, Erza only had time to open her mouth, before she completely vanished, to everyone's terror.

"What the hell was that?!" Natsu shouted, "Where'd she go?"

"Natsu." The Fire Dragon Slayer's heart stopped, as he turned to look at Wendy, who was looking at her hands as they started to fade away.

"No!" Natsu said, as he reached for his pseudo-little sister.

"I…," the Sky Dragon Slayer weakly said, before she also vanished.

"What's… what's happening?" Lucy weakly asked as she started to cry.

(in Magnolia)

"Why did Gray go without me?" Juvia whined, "We were supposed to do everything together now?"

"Maybe he doesn't want to deal with all your yelling?" Gajeel quipped as he sat beside Levy.

"Be nice to her," Levy scolded, as she turned a page in her book. Gajeel just snorted, while Juvia sat down and put her head on the table to wallow in her self-pity.

"Hey Mira!" Levy called, "Can I have some more water?"

"Coming right up!" Mira said cheerfully, "Can't keep the baby waiting!"

"By the way," Levy said, "We need to go get more stuff for…" She paused as she looked up to see dust floating away from where he was sitting. The blue haired girl's eyes widened, as she looked around.

"Gajeel?" Levy asked, as she looked around, "Where'd you go?" Juvia looked up as well.

"What happened?" she asked. Before Levy could answer, though, there was the sound of a crash and glass shattering. On the ground was a tray with some shards of glasses with some spilled water and some dust floating away. There was then a scream, and she looked over to see Laki standing in front of a couple ash piles that used to be Max and Nab.

"What's all this commotion?" Makarov asked as he was wheeled out by Mest, "Where'd all this dust come from?" Suddenly, he stopped, to his surprise.

"Mest?" Makarov said, "What's the…." He stopped, as he looked behind him, to see another cloud of dust floating away from behind his chair.

"Mira! Elfman!" Lisanna called, as she tried to find her siblings, to no avail.

"What's going on here?" Laxus shouted as he stood up from his seat with the Thunder Legion, only for him to also crumble to dust as he did so.

"Laxus!" Freed cried, but neither he nor the equally horrified Evergreen had time to think about just that.

"Guys," Bixlow said. The two looked over at their friend, before the masked man also turned to dust. As this was happening, Juvia just stared in horror at was happening, as one by one, her friends vanished.

"What's happening?" she asked in between her ever building sobs.

(in Sabertooth)

"Can someone please tell me what the hell's going?" Sting demanded. There was a strange feeling that fell across the guildhall. A general feeling of... emptiness, like something terrible had just happened somewhere.

"Somethin's happening," Minerva said, as a cold dread came over her.

"Master?" Sting's attention was then drawn towards the sound of Dobengal voice. He looked up just in time to see his guildmate slowly crumble into dust. Also watching was Sorano Agria (formerly known as Angel of Oracion Seis).

"Sorano?" The white haired girl looked over, always happy to talk to her little sister. But when she did, she just had enough time to see Yukino slowly turning to dust, as her eyes filled with dread.

"Oh no, no, no, no," she whimpered softly, unable to find the strength to cry out, a she reached towards Yukino just as she vanished into dust.

"What's happening?" Sting said, looking around, "What's..."

"Sting?" Rogue suddenly asked as he pointed. Sting looked down just in time to see his hands start to disappear.

"Ah crap," he said as he faded away. Rogue and Minerva could only stare at the ashes of their friends, before the Shadow Dragon Slayer heard a voice he never wanted to hear in this sort of situation.

"Rogue." Rogue looked towards Frosh, who also slowly started to crumble. Rogue's eyes widened in terror at the sight, as he quickly closed the distance between him and his cat.

"Fro too," the Exceed said sadly as they faded away. Rogue tried to embrace them, but was too slow, as he instead embraced a pile of dust, as Minerva stood over him, trying to comprehend what had just happened.

(in Lamia Scale)

"Toby! Yuka!" Sherria cried as she looked around in horror. All around her, her guildmates in Lamia Scale were also turning to dust. Lyon could also only stare at the sight.

"What sort of magic is this?" he asked, "What..." Before he could finish, he was attracted by the voice of their guildmistress.

"I can't stop spinning!" Oba Babasama said as she also turned to dust, leaving the guildhall now half empty, and the remianing members to only stare at the empty spaces where their friends once were.

(in Mermaid Heel)

Kagura had been practicing outside when she heard the sound of screaming coming from her guild. Stepping back inside, she was greeted with Beth running up to her.

"Kagura, it's terrible!" she said, "It's..." She couldn't finish, as when she took another step, she collasped forward, turning into dust.

"What?" Kagura asked out loud as she stared at the remains. She looked up to see woman after woman slowly crumbling into dust as well.

"What's going on here?" she tried to demand. All she got were forlorn looks, just as confused and horrifed as her.

(in Crocus)

It wasn't just in the guilds that this was all happening. Queen Hisui looked around in shock at the sight of numerous palace guards turning to dust, for seemingly no reason.

"Your Majesty..." Hisui looked up just in time to Arcadios also turning to dust, who just looked at her in confusion. Hisui could only stare at the dust that was once her closest guardian, and wonder what was happening.

(with Team Natsu)

Team Natsu, now devoid of two members, could only look around at was left of their friends. All that remained of Titania and the Sky Maiden, was dust in the wind. Everyone knew what had happened, and who was responsible. Gray could only sit down, as he stared at the ground, a blank expression on his face, as if his emotions couldn't settle on any single one.

"Did… did we lose?" Lucy asked through her tears. Natsu stared at her through his own tears as well, as he slowly came over to her, and took her in his arms. That was all it took, before Lucy burst into tears, and buried her face in Natsu's chest. And all he said were two words:

"We lost."

Note: Yes, I did use that title. Yeah its kinda of spoilerly, but I think most people saw something like this coming.

There's one universe down. If you think that the FT mages went down too easily, consider that Thanos has at his disposal the most powerful forces in his universe. If they have the power to destroy and remake the universe at will, then I think fighting some mages wouldn't be much of an issue.

Be sure to review. Next, Thanos is going to a remnant of a once beautiful world.
