Mama Yang in the Dungeons-2
Please Review and tell me your thoughts.
"Scythe, where are you baby?" Yang called out as she was searching all over town with Blake. Eri remained at the Guild with Eina.
"C'mon kiddo this isn't funny anymore, you're making mama very anxious." Blake shouted, cupping her hands around her mouth.
"Sweetie, come on out and we'll go try some of those crockets at that stand you spotted earlier." Yang shouted.
When all their shouting didn't work, the duo regrouped near the entrance to the guild, where Eina was standing in worry as she couldn't stand seeing the family panicking like this, and she was doing her best to keep Eri calm.
"Any luck?" Yang asked.
"Nothing, I looked all over the east section of town." Blake stated.
"I'm starting to think that maybe she's gone more towards the central part of town where the Dungeons are. An' knowing Scythe, being the adventurous type, she's bound to have gone down there on her own." Yang said.
"I'm hoping that's not the case. There are some Minotaur's that escaped level seventeen and have made their way to the fifth floor." Eina stated.
This caused both women's faces to pale as they knew just how terrifying Minotaur's can be from fighting Taurus Grimm in Remnant.
"Hey, Ms. Eina." A voice called out sounding quite loud and a bit of a distance away, as it was coming closer. "Ms. Eina."
"Who's that?" Blake asked, looking back to see someone covered in blood running for the guild.
"It's Bell." Eina exclaimed, looking at him to, only to freeze and scream in shock, seeing Bell running to her, covered in blood.
"I wanna know everything there is to know about Ms. Ais Wallenstein. PLEASE." Bell shouted running up to them.
"Hold on." Yang stated, catching a whiff of Scythe's scent through all the bovine blood covering him. "You." Yang exclaimed grabbing Bell by the jacket as he was now a little less than arms-length away. "You have my little girl's scent on you. Where is she, what did you do to her?"
"Yang honey, calm down, I'm sure there's a perfectly good reason for all this." Blake stated. "Sir, did you happen to see a little girl, with cat ears, wearing an outfit similar to both of ours, and scales on her face?" She asked, addressing Bell.
"Uh, yeah actually, her name's Scythe right? I ran into her on the fifth floor of the Dungeons. I found it kinda weird a small child would be there alone, but then she used strategy to take down a Minotaur, which gave us a chance to run from the danger." Bell exclaimed. "Crap, I forgot." Bell stated, realizing he left Scythe in the Dungeon, possibly hurt. He made a quick turnaround to go running, but was stopped by Yang holding onto the back of his jacket.
"Hold it." Yang stated. "What level of the Dungeons, did you say she was on?" Yang questioned.
"Uh… the fifth…"
"An' what monster did you say she took down?" Eina asked, a bit in shock herself.
At this point, Eri was starting to panic and worry about her sister, as Blake tried to calm her down to the best of her abilities, thankfully she still had her Quirk Nullification Bracelet on, that they put on her after first getting her back from Chisaki.
"Sh-she took down a Minotaur using strategy. There were two of them, and she used the one that was chasing me, to attack and kill the one that was chasing her, before we, both ran." Bell explained feeling the anger seeping out of Yang, as her grip tightened.
"So let me get this straight… you ran, and left my baby down there to defend herself against a monster she can't possibly hope to win in a one on one fight the way she is now?" Yang questioned.
"N-not exactly. The Minotaur was killed before I ran. Ms. Wallenstein killed it, and at the sight of her, I uh…" Bell stopped talking, as he turned his head to see Yang, and Blake, glaring at him with murderous intent. "No I swear I didn't run and leave her to fight the monster. I stood my ground to defend her as she was exhausted, but Ms. Ais Wallenstein killed the Minotaur before I ran. I swear to you she's safe with her."
"I believe him." Eina sighed. "Bell might be incredibly foolish and ignorant of certain things, but a liar, and a deserter isn't one of them. I've seen a few instances where he stood up for someone being picked on by the Soma Familia, and stood his ground, even if he did get beaten to a bloody mess by doing it."
"Well I guess if you have a witness to your honor then there's no reason to be mad at you. Still though, if Scythe is with that Wallenstein girl, then she's probably safer with her than with you when in the Dungeons." Yang sighed, releasing her grip on Bell's jacket. "The two of us are going to go to the Dungeons to try and find her. Ms. Eina I hate to ask, but can you please watch over Eri while we're gone?"
"Okay, I can't stop you, since you're doing this to try and find you son, but please be careful, you don't have a Familia yet, so you don't have the blessing, and I'd be more than happy to watch over Eri while you're gone." Eina stated.
"We'll be careful." Blake stated kneeling down to be eye level with Eri. "Sweetie, Mom and I are going down to the Dungeons to try and find big sister. We'll be back before you know it."
"Okay mama." Eri said, giving her a hug.
"Wait, hold on. What are your names?" Bell asked.
"Yang Xiao Long." Yang introduced.
"Blake Belladonna." Blake added. "This is our other daughter Eri.
With that, the two of them ran off in the direction of the Dungeons, hoping that Scythe was safe, while Eina began scolding Bell about his decision to go into the Dungeon without clearing it with her first.
Upon reaching the Dungeons, they found the Loki Familia Party waiting outside the Dungeons, with three men tied up, and struggling to get out.
"Hey, where's Ais Wallenstein?" Yang asked as they approached the group.
"She went down to try and get your daughter out of the Dungeons. Kid was so scarred she ran in there without even knowing it." Loki exclaimed.
"Scarred?" Blake asked.
"These three…" Bete stated, stomping his foot on the face of one of the Soma Familia members who were tied up. "Tried to forcefully recruit your daughter into the Soma Familia, so they could use her to make buckets of Varisu, and use it to purchase as much wine as they can."
"They what?" Yang asked, flames erupting around her, her hair standing up in the air as she glared at the three men who were now cowering in fear.
"Right now, I'm tempted not to stop her from what she's planning on doing." Blake said glaring at the three cowering Soma Familia Men.
"You three… tried to kidnap my baby, and force her to join your Familia, all for some cheap wine?" Yang growled.
"Soma Familia Brand Wine, is actually known to be the best. Actually, giving free samples is how they gain Familia members. Once they have a taste, they can't get enough and start doing whatever they can, to get some more, even joining the Soma Familia." Loki explained.
"Who the hell cares about some stupid wine? Where's our daughter?" Yang questioned.
"Like I said, the kid was so scared of these three she went running into the Dungeons without realizing it. Ais went after her, she should be back in a bit." Loki sighed, figuring she'd talk with the other gods about this later.
"Sooner than you think Lady Loki." Ais said walking up to them, with a sleeping Scythe on her back.
"Ais." Loki smiled.
"Scythe." The two mothers called rushing to Ais, who handed her to Yang.
"Oh are you okay baby?" Yang asked, the only response she got was his light snoring as she subconsciously cuddled into her with a smile.
"She'll be fine. She just needs rest." Ais exclaimed opening her satchel, revealing two substantially large Magic Stones inside, one of them bigger than the other.
"Whoa, those are some huge magic stones. They had to have come from a couple Minotaur's." Loki exclaimed looking at the stones.
Ais reached into the satchel, and pulled out the bigger of the two, handing it to Blake, who looked at it in amazement.
"What the? Ais don't go giving away your earnings. You worked for those magic stones." Loki exclaimed in shock.
"I only earned one of them." Ais stated. "The other was taken out by this little girl right here actually."
"WHAT?" The entire Loki Familia party asked in shock.
"Did I say something wrong?" Ais asked.
"Ais, you mean to tell me, that a child, took out a Minotaur from the seventeenth level?" Bete asked. "I don't care if she is a Demi-Goddess, that's not possible."
"I'm a little fuzzy on the details, but one of her scales was on the ground next to the magic stone." Ais exclaimed, pulling the red scale out of her satchel.
"We might actually know. The boy you helped alongside our daughter, he saw how Scythe took out one of the Minotaur's. He was kinda scarce on the details, but the gist was she used one of them to kill the other, giving them a chance to run." Blake explained.
"Ah, a wise tactic indeed." Ais said. "She probably angered one of them, then positioned herself on or in front of the other, and waited until the last moment to move, before one killed the other."
"So, it wasn't that she used strength to kill one, she just used brains and strategy instead." Bete exclaimed. "Kid certainly knows how to fight if she's able to do something like that."
"I gave her body a look over, to check for any injuries. She's got a couple bruises on her chest and back, but she should be fine otherwise." Ais exclaimed.
"We thank you for helping her. This somewhat makes up for what Bete did. But only by a substantially small margin." Kali said.
"It was my pleasure. I do have a bit of a soft spot for children." Ais said.
After saying a final goodbye, they left the adventurers and went back to the guild, finding Eina with Eri by her side, sitting across from Bell, as he had dried himself off of blood. They were talking about Ais, when Eri spotted them.
"Mom, Mama, Scythe." Eri cried out running to them.
"Oh good you're back. An' you've got Scythe with you. I'm relieved." Eina said.
"Yeah. We came back to finish up any paperwork that might be left to do. An' this time Scythe isn't leaving our sights." Yang exclaimed.
"Well unfortunately, there's nothing much else to fill out, not until you join a Familia at least." Eina exclaimed.
"Ah, I see. Well we should start looking to join one." Blake said, as Yang turned to Bell.
"Hey you, your name is Bell right?" Yang asked.
"Uh, yeah that's me." Bell said.
"What Familia do you belong to?" Yang inquired.
"Oh, aside from my goddess, I'm the only one in the Hestia Familia." Bell exclaimed.
"Only two members?" Blake asked. "You two haven't gotten up to anything naughty have you?" She smiled cheekily.
"W-what are you saying?" Bell questioned, blushing heavily.
"Actually. Bell seems to have fallen for Ms. Ais Wallenstein." Eina teased.
"Dude, you've got some high standards don't you?" Yang chuckled. "But I hate to break it to ya, she's way out of your league, and your chances of getting with her are slim to none."
"Anyways, could you direct us to where we can exchange magic stones for Varisu?" Blake asked holding up the large magic stone Ais handed to her.
"Uh, right over there." Eina said pointing them to the exchange area. "The larger the stone the longer it will take to be appraise your reward."
"Thanks. I'll be back in a minute." Blake said, walking over to exchange it for Valis.
"So, if none of you have a Familia you belong to, why not come to the Hestia Familia?" Bell suggested. "We don't have much, but the Goddess and I would be more than happy to have you joining out Familia."
"I don't know. It might be worth a shot." Yang said. "We'll see what it's like before we make a choice."
"Hey, I'm back, faster than expected." Blake said, holding up a bag of Valis. "An' that stone was worth fifty thousand Valis."
"I'm impressed." Eina smiled. "But please, try not to wonder off and do anything stupid in the Dungeons, at least not until you join a Familia of your own."
"Bell's offered to introduce us to his Familia." Yang exclaimed.
"I don't see the harm in taking a look." Blake said.
~Hestia Church~
"Well, here we are." Bell said, as they stood in front of a rundown church that looked like it was on its last legs. "I did say it wouldn't be much."
"I've slept in worse." Blake said, carrying a sleepy Eri on her back.
"Looks like it should be torn down." Yang stated, Scythe now positioned on her back as they entered the main hall of the chapel.
"Wait here I'll bring Goddess Hestia." Bell said, opening a secret passage to an underground part of the church.
As they waited, Yang set Scythe down on one of the pews, with Blake doing the same, before the sound of footsteps echoed from the secret passage, and they turned to see a woman with black hair, wearing a white dress, barely containing her G-Cup chest, showing plenty of cleavage, with gloves, wearing sandals, coming to greet them next to Bell, but when she saw them, she didn't seem happy.
"Bell you idiot. Are you trying to break my heart and start a Harem or what?" Hestia shouted at him.
"N-no Goddess, it's not what you think it's actually…"
"Uh Goddess Hestia?" Yang asked, raising her right arm, gaining her attention. "Hi, sorry but Blake and I swing for the other team, if you catch my drift."
"Swing for… Oh I see what you're saying." Hestia said, before noticing Scythe curled up on the pew, and Yang's right arm. "Hold on, a right arm made of a black and gold gemstone, and a little girl with cat ears, and triple colored hair. Are you Yang Xiao Long, mother to the Demi-Goddess, Scythe?"
"Uh, yeah that's me. Man news really does spread like wildfire in this city." Yang said.
"I started working part time at a croquette stand today, so I heard a few things from some of the customers." Hestia said. "So you're wanting to join my Familia?"
"We first want to know, what your Familia entails. So far what we've seen of the Loki Familia, their Goddess is kind of a prude." Blake said.
~Loki Familia Castle~
"Achoo." Loki sneezed.
~Hestia Church~
"Before we make any decision, we want to know, do you actually care for those who join your Familia? Because we won't join any Familia that doesn't have a caring, loving Goddess. We don't know how long we have until Scythe reaches that level, so we want her to have the best example as possible." Yang exclaimed.
"Hmm." Hestia just smiled. "I can assure you, I care deeply for those in my Familia. But if you're wanting my advice for what you should have as an example for your daughter, when she becomes an actual Goddess, you're both doing a pretty fine job of that yourselves."
"That doesn't really answer our question." Blake said.
"Well, let me tell you this then. My children are everything to me. I'd go to hell and back, just to make them happy, if that's what it took." Hestia smiled. "Nothing is as important to me, as my Familia, and if you're needing people to vouch for me when saying that, I can direct you to a couple gods who can back me up with what I said."
"Hmm, what do you think Yang?" Blake asked.
"I'd say, joining her Familia should at least be given a shot." Yang said.
"That settles it then. The four of us will join your Familia." Blake exclaimed.
"Then welcome, to the Hestia Familia." Hestia smiled. "Let's have dinner, I'll bestow your blessings upon you after that and I update Bell's stats."
"Do you have enough for all of us?" Yang asked.
"Unfortunately no." Hestia said, downtrodden.
"It's fine. We saw a tavern on our way here. We'll eat there tonight." Blake said.
"Actually, since this place is so small, I think it might be best, if we rent a room there for a while as well." Yang stated.
"If you're going to do that, then I'm gonna have to bestow your blessings on you now, while you're still here." Hestia said. "Bell, go down stairs, and give the ladies some privacy."
"Uh, right." Bell said, running back down stairs.
"Uh, why are we needing some privacy?" Blake asked.
"Because you'll be taking off your shirts, since your status and Familia Emblem will be on your back." Hestia exclaimed. 'At least with them living at some tavern, Bell and I will still get to be on our own, not that they would ever try to seduce him since they're lesbians. It's that' Demi-Goddess I gotta watch out for, when she gets older.'
"Alright." Yang said, reaching up and removing her top, turning around and standing in front of Hestia as she stood over her on the podium stage.
Hestia bit her finger, hard enough to make her bleed, and held it over Yang's back. When a drop of blood landed on her back, her status and Familia Emblem appeared on her back in black ink, showing she was level one, starting from zero.
"Okay, that was simple enough." Yang said, putting her top back on. "You're up next Blake."
~Hostess of Fertility Tavern~
"This is the place right?" Blake asked, as they stood in front of the tavern.
"Yeah, this is the tavern we passed by on our way to Goddess Hestia's church." Yang said.
"Mom I'm hungry." Scythe exclaimed, rubbing her eye.
Scythe had finally convinced Yang and Blake to let her hair free, and style it back to how she normally had it when she attended U.A, so she was only rubbing her one uncovered eye.
"Alright sweetheart we'll get some food in a minute." Yang smiled as they went up the steps.
"Welcome-nya." A girl with light hazel brown hair, and cat ears and a tail said greeting them. She wore a green maid's outfit with a playful look on her face. Breast Size: D-Cup.
"Uh hi." Blake said. "Table for four please?"
"Of course right this way-nya." The cat girl smiled. "My name is Anya, and I'll be your waitress-nya."
"Thank you." Yang said, following Anya to a table big enough to fit them. "Do you happen to have any rooms available to rent out?"
"Hmm… Meow-well, you'd have to talk to Mama Mia but I think there are a few rooms available-nya." Anya said as they sat, Yang setting her bag at the end of the table. "So what will it be to drink? For the kittens we have juice, water, and tea, an' for the big sisters we have, coffee, tea, ale, wine, beer, or other alcoholic drinks, as well as the kid drinks."
"We're not their big sisters." Blake chuckled. "We're their mothers."
"Oh, I'm sorry-nya. That was rude of me to assume-meow." Anya said, bowing slightly.
"It's fine. Happens more often than you'd think." Yang said, waving it off. "But if we could speak with Mama Mia about renting a room, we'd really appreciate it. Also, we'll take two juices, a tea, and a coffee, if it's not too much trouble. Also, we'll have four house specials two of them a double serving."
"I'll be right back with her and your drinks-nya." Anya smiled before heading off.
"So, how long do you think it'll be before the other Gods and Goddesses try to recruit us to their Familia's because we're the mothers of the Demi-Goddess?" Blake asked Yang, as she was being careful of who to speak around. "I mean, Goddess Hestia identified Scythe, just by your arm. What's it made of anyway?"
"According to Pyrrha, it's made of black diamond, with a gold core stronger than tungsten." Yang exclaimed, looking at her arm, and flexing the fingers a bit. "She did use her Maiden Magic to put it on me."
"Still find it hard to believe the Four Seasonal Maidens are real, and Pyrrha is half of the Fall Maiden." Blake stated. "You might wanna think about getting some cloves with fingers on them for your right hand to hide it."
"You might be right." Yang said.
"Sorry to interrupt your conversation, but I heard you're wanting to rent a room here." A tall and thick woman with dark brown hair wearing a blue dress with a white apron, said coming to them with their drinks. "Name's Mia Grand. But folks around here call me, Mama Mia."
"Nice to meet you. An' yes we were hoping to rent out a room." Yang said.
"Well, I don't have a problem if you rent out a room, but do you know how long you're staying for?" Mama Mia asked.
"Uh… until our Goddess manages to get a bigger home to fit all of us." Blake said.
"So you don't know when you're leaving. All right, rent will be every two weeks, and fifteen hundred Valis on the Monday its due." Mama Mia exclaimed.
"Alright." Yang said, reaching for her backpack, only to find it gone. "Hey, where'd my backpack go?"
They looked around, and Scythe spotted someone running off with it, wearing a shirt with a familiar challis and crescent moon emblem on his shoulder.
"Soma Familia guy stole it." Scythe said getting up.
"Wait Scythe." Yang said before Scythe disappeared in a flash of lightning.
Scythe instantly caught up with the thief, and nabbed the bag from him, skidding to a halt, and smirked, before she suddenly found herself pinned down to the cobblestone ground, on her back, Yang's bag still strapped to her shoulders.
"We're not stupid like the other guys who tried to recruit you. You'll be begging to join the Soma Familia as soon as you get a taste of this." A man said, holding up a small glass of wine. "It's honestly killing me not to drink this right now. But we're needing you to drink it so you'll be wanting to join willingly."
Scythe tried struggling out of his grasp, as he forced her mouth open, and poured the Soma wine into it, before shutting her mouth, and plugging her nose, forcing her to swallow the alcohol, if she wanted to take a breath of fresh air once more. When Scythe did swallow the wine, everything around her became hazy, and her vision began to blur, as she felt herself slipping into a bliss only alcoholic intoxication could cause, before she blacked out, a drunken blush on her face.
"When she wakes up, she'll be begging us to take her to Master Soma." The Soma Familia man smiled.
"Get your dirty hands off my daughter."
They looked up to see Yang flying towards the man who forced Scythe to drink the wine, before the soul of her shoe, met with his face, and he was sent flying back, down the street. Her eyes were burning a blood red, showing her anger, as they were no longer their lavender violet.
Flipping through the air, after pushing off the guy's face, Yang landed over the unconscious, and most likely drunk Scythe, like a mother lion defending her cub.
"It's two against one, we can take her." One of the Soma Familia men said.
"I wouldn't be so sure." A calm woman's voice echoed behind him, before they both found themselves unconscious from a chop to the neck. The woman who had helped them, was dressed in the same maid attire as Anya, with yellow-green hair, long pointed ears, and deep blue eyes. Breast Size: G-Cup.
When Yang saw the two men fall, she was instantly to the side, and shaking Scythe, trying to get her to wake up.
"Scythe baby, please wake up. Oh what did they force down your throat?" Yang asked, looking at the empty jar next to Scythe.
The elf girl picked up the jar and gave it a sniff.
"Smells like Soma Familia wine. Most likely they wanted to try and trick her into joining the Soma Familia willingly, by forcing her to drink some of their wine." She exclaimed.
"Alcohol shouldn't have any effect on her, let alone cause her to pass out drunk." Yang exclaimed. "Her metabolism is too fast, and her body heat would burn away the alcohol too quickly."
"The Soma Familia Wine is pretty potent. It's rumored that only one sip will get you blackout drunk. So you could imagine what a cups worth would do."
"Ryuu, is everything all right out here?" Mama Mia asked.
"Everything's under control. Though the local authorities might need to be called. Three men, just poured a cup of Soma Wine down a toddler's throat." Ryuu called back.
"Damn it." Mama Mia cursed running back into the tavern.
"She'll probably wake up wanting more. I think it'd be best to have some medicine on standby when she does. She'll most likely be sick in the morning when she comes to." Ryuu said, before noticing Scythe stirring.
"Oh Scythe, thank goodness you're awake." Yang sighed in relief, before she gained a worried look, as there was something different about her. "Scythe, are you feeling all right baby?"
"Hi mom ~hic~…" Scythe smiled, her words slurred, and her face red from the alcohol.
"Scythe… are you feeling okay?" Yang asked.
"Never better. Why do you ask?" Scythe questioned. "Ah, Mom your ears look funny with those piercings." Scythe laughed.
"Alright, guess we know what kind of drunk she is. A Jester Drunk." Yang said.
"Mom I'm hungry." Scythe smiled.
"Alright, come on little lady. We're going back to the table, and getting you some water to sober you up." Yang said, pulling Scythe by the arm.
"Up we go." Scythe cheered jumping on Yang's back.
"Scythe, careful don't just jump on me like that." Yang exclaimed.
"Yay, piggyback ride." Scythe cried out happily.
"Alright, as soon as you're done eating, we're putting you to bed." Yang groaned.
"If I'm not mistaken, you ordered four of the house specials right?" Ryuu asked.
"Yeah, so?" Yang asked.
"The house special is spaghetti with meat sauce, and pasta does tend to absorb alcohol when it's consumed with it." Ryuu exclaimed.
"That's it, and I ordered Scythe a double serving of it, so it'll work." Yang exclaimed racing back into the tavern, and to their table to see the food was there. "Alright kiddo eat up." Yang said, taking her backpack from Scythe. "I'm gonna go pay for first month's rent."
~The Next Morning~
"Ow my head, what happened?" Scythe groaned, sitting up in bed, before she noticed both Yang and Blake were sleeping on the sides, in chairs, while Eri was sleeping next to her. "Mom? Mama?"
"Oh Scythe. You're awake. How you feeling?" Yang asked, rising to the sound of Scythe's voice.
"Like I got hit in the head with a Detroit Smash from Grandpa Toshi." Scythe exclaimed.
"That would be the hangover." Yang chuckled. "Do you remember anything at all from last night?"
"I remember waiting for our food, Mama Mia came to our table, and then nothing." Scythe exclaimed.
"Some Soma men lured you into a trap and poured some wine down your throat. It was some pretty strong stuff, you were flat out drunk the whole night." Yang yawned. "Blake and I stayed up the entire night, to try and see if you'd do anything. But all you did was sleep. Which is more than I can say we did."
"Sounds like you all stayed awake. I'm sorry mom." Scythe exclaimed.
"You got nothing to be sorry for sweetie." Yang smiled.
"Get some sleep mom." Scythe said, pulling Yang into the bed, then Blake, and putting blankets over them.
"You're such a good girl sweetheart." Yang smiled before she fell asleep.
After pulling a blanket over them, Scythe made sure to leave the room without making a sound, grabbing some Valis and her weapons and vambraces, on her way. When she memorized which door their room was in, Scythe went down to the public area of the tavern and saw everyone working in the tavern working hard.
"Kitchen's not open yet sweetie." Mama Mia said addressing her. "So if you're wanting something to eat, you're gonna have to wait a bit."
"I was actually hoping I could just get some juice, and a piece of paper and pencil if you have one. I wanna leave a note telling Mom and Mama where I'll be." Scythe exclaimed.
"That I can do for you." Mama Mia smiled getting the drink ready and a pad and pencil. "So you're the new Demi-Goddess I've heard talk about."
"I guess so." Scythe exclaimed.
"Any idea what kind of Goddess you wanna be when you reach that stage of power?" Mama Mia questioned, setting down the items Scythe asked for.
"I don't know to be honest. I was honestly surprised when I found out I'm not a normal girl like all the others. An' I'm from a completely different world, where every day, is a struggle to survive against creatures of darkness, known as Grimm." Scythe exclaimed writing down what she wanted in her note.
"Is that so? Then I suppose you don't have slim pickings when choosing what kind of Goddess you wanna be. From my standpoint, I think you'd make an excellent Goddess of War and Philosophy." Mama Mia smiled. "You've got a good head on your shoulders kid. Use it when you need to."
"Thanks." Scythe smiled. "That's two hundred Valis for a drink right?"
"On the house. After what you went through last night, you look like you need it." Mama Mia exclaimed.
Scythe thanked her and after downing her drink, rushed back upstairs to slip the note under the door, before running back down, and getting to the door, finding Bell outside, talking with a silver/grey haired waitress, wearing the Hostess of Fertility uniform. Breast size: F-Cup.
"Bell." Scythe called out, running to him.
"Oh hey Scythe. This is the tavern you and your mothers and sister are staying at?" Bell asked.
"Yeah, food here is really good to. Or so I'm told." Scythe exclaimed.
"Haven't you had it before?" Bell asked.
"Well, I don't exactly remember what happened last night. Some Soma Familia guys had forced some wine down my throat, and I became flat out drunk." Scythe exclaimed. "Anyways, I'm heading off to buy as good a quality backpack as I can get, after I get some food, the kitchen isn't open yet and I'm in a bit of a hurry."
"Oh, I see." Bell said. "Ms. Syr, do you know of any good places that sell backpacks of descent quality, for cheap?"
"No, I don't really know."
"I don't need cheap." Scythe said. "I've got enough Valis to purchase a good quality one. Somewhat like the bag you're carrying."
"Oh, like mine? Well I can show you where I got it from then, though it's not very good quality." Bell smiled.
"Good luck on your adventure today sir." Syr smiled waving them off.
"So what are you doing today, after you get your bag I mean?" Bell asked.
"Nothing much. Just gonna explore the town." Scythe smiled. 'I can't tell him I'm going down into the Dungeons, he'd rat me out to mom for sure.'
"Well, what are those for?" He asked pointing to the weapons on the small of Scythe's back, in leather holsters, one on top of the other, with the handles facing different sides.
"Hmm? Oh, self defense. After what happened yesterday and last night, I'm not taking any chances." Scythe said, not exactly lying, but also not telling the entire truth either.
"Huh, good call." Bell said as they reached the shop. "Here we are."
Inside the shop, there were all sorts of different bags, and carriers.
"Welcome back Bell, are you back for some repairs on your bag? Who's your friend?" A woman, who looked somewhat familiar to Scythe, questioned looking at them. She had silvery white hair with red eyes, wearing a tube top, and jeans ripped in certain places in the fabric. Breast size: G-Cup.
"No, no repairs needed today. I'm actually just escorting this little lady right here to the shop, she's looking for a backpack to use." Bell exclaimed patting Scythe's head.
"Don't. You'll mess up my hair. I finally got it back into the style I like." Scythe groaned.
"Heh, feisty one ain't she?" The shop keeper smiled. "My name's Luna. Please, feel free to look around, I make some good quality bags, at an affordable price. We've got everything from backpacks to leather armor."
Scythe began looking around the shop finding all sorts of different bags she could wear. Some of them were single pouched, single strapped, single strapped with a single pouch. But she wasn't in the market for a single strap bag, she wanted one with lots of pockets, and would last her a while.
"Hey Scythe, I'm going to head to the Dungeons now, I'll see you later." Bell stated.
"Alright." Scythe said, quickly looking at him then back to the merchandise. "Thanks for escorting me here."
After Bell left, Scythe decided to keep looking about, but was having trouble.
"You know, if you can't find what you're looking for. I do custom builds." Luna said.
"Really?" Scythe asked.
"They're not cheap, but the wait for me to build it does allow you to build up the money for the project." Luna exclaimed.
"Well, I do have a bit of a custom request." Scythe said.
"Follow me." Luna smiled, leading Scythe to her counter.
Scythe followed Luna, and passing by, spotted a simple black leather hip holster bag with a two piece belt, and a strap to secure the bag around the thigh.
"Find something that interests you?" Luna asked as Scythe grabbed it.
"Just a temporary bag until my custom order is made." Scythe said coming to the counter.
"Well, let's work on a basic blueprint for your bag." Luna smiled pulling out a large sheet of paper.
So Scythe set on the task of telling Luna as best she could on what she wanted for her bag. When that was done, Scythe purchased the hip holster bag, and attached it as best she could around her thigh and waist, putting Sting and Rogue on the counter so they wouldn't get in the way of the straps. Luna was intrigued by the design and picked them up to examine them.
"Interesting items you have here. What do they do?" She asked, looking at Scythe.
"Oh, they're weapons. I've had a couple run-ins with the Soma Familia members yesterday, trying to get me to join their Familia, either by force, or pouring wine down my throat. So I'm keeping those on me in case I run into them." Scythe exclaimed.
"Why would they be trying to recruit you?" Luna asked.
"You don't know?" Scythe questioned.
"Know what?" Luna asked.
"Well…"
"Oh, good morning my Little Goddess." Tione, said coming into the shop. "Doing some morning shopping on your own today?"
"Uh… yeah I am…" Scythe chuckled nervously.
"W-wait, you're a Goddess?" Luna asked.
"Well, I'm actually a Demi-Goddess." Scythe exclaimed. "I'm actually what's been the talk of the town lately. Quite honestly it's embarrassing."
"Oh come now you're just being modest. After all you did defeat a Minotaur yesterday." Tione said. "Good morning Luna." Tione smiled, as Tiona came in as well.
"Morning." Tiona greeted.
"Morning to you both. Is there something I can help you with?" Luna asked.
"We were actually hoping to just look around and see if we can't find a new bag for our supporter. Hers ripped because someone insisted on riding on it with their weapon." Tione said looking at Tiona with a bit of a scolding look. "So no it's needing to be replaced, and you're the best in the Hephaestus Familia when it comes to making bags."
"I'll see what I can do. But a supporter's bag is pretty big, and I've already got one custom job to work on. So it'll be close to a month before it's complete if you're wanting it with the magical runes on the inside." Luna exclaimed.
"I suppose that'll have to do." Tiona sighed.
"Alright kid, er my Goddess…"
"Please stop with that, it feels really embarrassing to hear you say something like that about me." Scythe exclaimed.
"Sorry." Luna said. "Anyway, the custom job order for your bag will be ready in roughly two weeks. Come back in a week and a half, with the money for the bag, and if it's ready, I'll accept the payment."
"Alright." Scythe smiled.
"Hey what are these?" Tiona asked picking up Scythe's weapons, and undoing the clip on the bottom.
"Careful." Scythe said as it opened, and the magnetic pull of it clasped them together.
The sudden action of the magnetic hilt caused Tiona to drop it, right as the blade of the long katana extended outwards. Before it could hit the ground, Scythe caught it by the hilt, right before the sharp edge could land on her foot, and slice her toes off.
"That, was a close on." Tione said as Tiona slid her foot out from under the blade.
Scythe sighed in relief before she stood back up, and performed a reverse behind the 8 ball roll, closing it and putting it back in its holster.
"Sorry about that." Scythe said putting the other one in the holster as well. "Oh hang on. Do you have any quivers?" She asked turning to Luna.
"Uh, yeah… third row top shelf." Luna said.
Scythe quickly went to the row, and grabbed a quiver that suited her fancy.
"How did you do that kid? I mean, the roll thing and what kind of katana was that, where'd you get it?" Tione questioned.
"It was a reverse behind the 8 ball roll, normally used for closing butterfly knives. As for where I got it, and what kind of katana that was. It's a retractable one designed to look like a butterfly knife, and I didn't get it anywhere. I forged it myself." Scythe exclaimed.
"Kid, there's no way you forged it yourself, you barely look seven or eight." Luna said.
"Eh, I don't care if you believe me. But my mom can tell you I did." Scythe smiled. "Now, how much for the quiver?"
"Twenty five hundred Valis." Luna said.
"It's on me." Tione smiled, pulling out a small pouch of Valis. "Consider it paying you back for saving me from losing a foot."
"Thanks, I appreciate it." Scythe smiled, as her stomach growled. "I think I should go get something to eat."
"There's a food stand just out that way." Tiona said pointing down the road. "Be safe on whatever it is you're doing."
"I will." Scythe called out as she ran out the door, with Tiona and Tione sticking their heads out and looking at her.
"So, we're totally gonna follow her and make sure she doesn't get into trouble, right?" Tione questioned.
"What do you think? No way, she just decided to get a quiver for fun. She's up to something." Tiona exclaimed as they spotted her stopping at the food stand.
"One order of double cheesy potatoes please, extra cheese and bacon bits to, and a casket of juice if you have them." Scythe said.
"Coming right up valued customer." Hestia smiled before looking down at Scythe. "Hey wait. Scythe?"
"High my Goddess." Scythe smiled.
"Well isn't this a surprise." Hestia smiled. "Alright one double order of the cart special coming up."
"No way, she joined the Hestia Familia? Did her entire family join as well?" Tione asked.
"Most likely." Tiona said.
"So where are you going today so early in the morning?" Hestia asked preparing Scythe's food.
"I'm going to the Dungeons to try and get some magic stones, and earn some money to help mom and mama with bills and other payments." Scythe said.
"Well you should have gone with Bell, he's probably there right now." Hestia said with a small smile.
"I didn't tell him because I knew he'd rat me out to mom and mama. I left them a note saying I was going to spend the day exploring the town, but I lied." Scythe said, poking her fingers together.
"Young lady, do you know how wrong it is for you to do that?" Hestia asked.
"I know. But I just want to show them I can do this." Scythe exclaimed.
"I can't believe I'm gonna allow this." Hestia sighed. "Alright fine. But as your Goddess, I invoke my authority by ordering you to come back at the end of every day. So no overnight campouts in the Dungeon, understand?"
"Yes Goddess. I promise I'll do my best."
"Also, you're to report to me every time you do go. It'll be safer having at least one person know you're going down there." Hestia exclaimed.
"Alright." Scythe sighed.
"Good." Hestia said, handing her the food. "Also, take some croquettes with you for when you stop to have lunch. I have a feeling this food you ordered isn't going to last you before you reach the Dungeon's entrance."
Hestia handed her a bundle of croquettes in a box, and Scythe put them in the smaller pocket of the hip holster.
"Alright, now pay for the food, and get going." Hestia said.
Scythe pulled out the remainder of the Valis she had, and handed it to Hestia, she exchanged it for her change, and Scythe was on her way, with food in hand, and the casket of juice over her shoulder.
"Okay, you heard that to right?" Tione asked.
"Yeah. There's no way we're gonna let her go by herself now." Tiona said. "C'mon, let's make sure she doesn't get killed."
