Chris decided to stop at the post office on his way to work today to send his older brother a letter on how he was doing.

He normally spoke English, but because of this business trip he had to pass a language examination in German to be able to come here with his love because of this business trip.

Not far from where they lived together was the post office and Chris liked it because he had it on his way to work.

He was a little nervous in front of the desk worker, and when he handed her the letter for dispatch, he managed to say it at the last minute in German, but with a curt look.

"Ich bitte Sie, diesen Brief an die darauf geschriebene Adresse zu senden." he said, paying the postage.

When he left the post office, he swallowed even more when he saw the Gestapo's intervention in the house he passed.

He heard one of the Gestapo say "Juden Raus!" and because he understood it, it meant that they had found a German Jew who was hiding in the house.

He had always been nervous in such situations, especially when he kept the fact that his fiancée was also a Jewish, and that was why he hadn't had to hide her here.

But he had no idea what Aviva was going to expect at work today.

"Lady?" Aviva turned and was startled to see a man about ten years older than her and dressed as a member of Hitler's political party NSDAP. A swastika hung on his shoulder. He used to know at a different angle one American tribe and one of the signs of Buddhism, now a sign of fascism.

She was surprised because he spoke to her in English, not German.

"You run it?" he asked and the man was looking around for the working workers in this foreign engineering plant.

"I'm here temporarily, and I stay here one shift and I work here a manager as well."

"There are prisoners in local concentration camps. Both the wicked Jews and those who betrayed the Fűhrer. Here they would be useful as workers."

When he said "the wicked Jews" Aviva swallowed, because she was a Jew as well, but kepting it for herself.

"And what do you want to do with them?"

"When you temporarily manage it, and you are an employee of this company.."

"Yes, I am."

"So you wouldn't mind if these prisoners worked here because of the cooperation of your employer and our political party. Fűhrer hopes to improve the economy of the Third Reich."

Aviva knew, she was nervous and even more, when he said about the prisoners working here. When she joined her employer, it did not seem to support fascism against her nation. Now that she was in this situation, realizing that working with her employer was just one big scam, she knew that when she came back to the US, she would give resignation to the that fascist bogeyman.

"Madam, I have some of them with me to be here on a trial shift, and you should keep an eye on them." he said and he pointed to a group of about ten men and women who were dressed as turners and who stood behind him.

Aviva knew easily that the prisoners were Jews like her. They had a yellow patch on their right arm with a Star of David and a Jude sign in it.

A NSDAP member left and left her imprisoned German Jews in charge.

As he left, one of the imprisoned men accidentally thrust into her, and there was a situation in which her heart almost jumped from her chest.

Her prayer book, which she had secretly taken to Germany, had fallen from her pocket.. and now it was lying on the ground.

The NSDAP member turned silently and saw that the young woman he had just spoken to had taken a small book off the floor with a Hebrew inscription on the cover.

Aviva and she immediately tucked it back in her pocket, and as the Nazi walked away, she knew she was screwed.

"No, not that." she murmured to herself and the imprisoned German Jews who were supposed to work here looked at her in surprise. They saw the book that had fallen to her ground, and because, like her, she knew Hebrew, they knew it was a prayer book.

"You're a Jew just like us.." one of the Jewish men told her in Hebrew as he looked into her face. But it could be written like this: "אתה יהודי בדיוק כמונו .."

She was already so nervous when those prisoners began to say to her, "Prove us that you are not the same as those Jews who cooperate with the stinking Nazis in concentration camps. Help us!"

And when our lovers met after work again in their rented house, the meeting wasn't very peaceful.

"Chris, Chris!" she immediately pulled him into house and Chris was surprised from the fact, that she had returned from the work soon this time.

"What happned?! You look scared."

"You should be too. I returned soon from the work, because, because.." she murmured and Chris saw fear in her eyes "They found I'm a Jew. When I was in work some Nazi visited it and led Jewish prisoners from the concentration camps here. He told me, that I should look at their work here in the factory, without knowing I'm a Jew as well. One of them accidentaly bumped into me.. and.. and.." she tried to say, while hugging Chris, starting crying "The Nazi saw my prayer book, plus those poor people, my own people, want help from me." she continued, while tears filed her eyes "What I should do? We're screwed. I can't go to the job here anymore and it's only a matter of time before Gestapo will come here.. I want to return back to US with you, but there isn't how.. Chris, those poor people wants help from us.." she barely said and she started crying in his arms, while Chris looked around the hall and he looked shocked and scared at the same time.
