A few days later Nicole was in her apartment working on an assignment. Her cell phone rang.
"Hello?" She said.
"Hi." Faith said.
"Hi mom."
"How are you?"
"Good." "You'll never guess who came into the diner the other day."
"Who?"
"Do you remember John Cena?"
"How could I forget?" "You were in love with him practically your entire childhood."
Nicole laughed. "Yeah."
"How is he?"
"Good."
"From what I've seen of him on TV he's still cute."
"Oh yeah."
"Does he live in LA?"
"No." "He's here filming a movie."
"Are you planning on seeing him?"
"He has my number but hasn't called me yet."
"If you talk to him again tell him I said hi."
"I will." "I have to go, I'm working on an assignment."
"Ok." "I love you."
"I love you too."
"Bye."
"Bye."
A few hours later Nicole was in the library. Her cell phone rang.
"Hello?" She whispered.
"Hi." John said.
"Hi." "Why are you whispering?"
"I'm in the library."
"Oh I'm sorry." "I was just wondering if you wanted to grab dinner tonight?"
"Sure." "I'll text you when I leave."
"Ok bye."
"Bye."
They decided to meet at a restaurant at eight o'clock that night. When John got there Nicole was waiting for him.
"Hi." She said.
"Hi."
"You look really nice."
"Thanks, you look nice to."
"Thank you."
"Are we getting separate checks?"
"Well usually on a date the man pays."
"That's what I thought this was but I didn't want to assume."
"Well it is, if you want it to be."
"I do."
"Order whatever you want."
They were eating.
"How was it on the set today?"
"Good." "How was your day?"
"Busy as usual." "As soon as I'm done here I have to go home and study." "I shouldn't even be here now by I wanted to see you."
"So you're pretty much busy all the time?"
"Yeah."
"I can relate."
"How long are you here?"
"A month."
"I almost forgot I talked to my mom today and she said to tell you hi."
"Tell her I said hi to."
"I will."
"When did you move here?"
"Two years ago." "This is the first time I've been out in a long time." "I don't have much luck when it comes to men." "My ex-husband left me for another woman."
"You were married?"
"Yep, for three years." "My boyfriend after him used to beat me up."
"I'm sorry."
"No it's ok." "Those aren't the worst things that ever happened to me." "Where do you live now?"
"Tampa, Florida."
"Oh right, that big white house."
"Yeah."
"I saw it on TV."
John was walking Nicole to her car.
"I bet you don't remember the last time we saw each other." Nicole said.
"No I don't."
"Do you?"
"Yeah."
Flashback
Nicole was twelve and home on spring break. She was riding her bike. She was riding by John's house.
"Hey Nicole." She heard John say from his driveway. She stopped and went into his driveway.
"Hi John." "I thought you moved."
"I did I'm just visiting." "Come here." They hugged.

They were at Nicole's car.
"I forgot all about that." He said. "Can we do this again?"
"We can try but like I said I'm busy a lot." "I'll try my best."
"Ok." They hugged. "Goodnight."
