First off, I think I fixed the confessionals in the last chapter. Sorry about that, Word doesn't work too great on my new computer so I'm using Google Docs and a lot of things don't transfer when copying and pasting into .

Chris is sitting in a lawn chair outside the main building wearing sunglasses, sipping on a pink lemonade with a mini umbrella.
"Welcome back to Total Drama Battle for Power! Last time, we met the sixteen newbies, as well as had Shawn and Zoey return! The teens were then split into two teams of nine and immediately had to compete in a mini-challenge. Four members of each team were randomly chosen to compete. They then had to choose what part they had to play in the challenge. In the end, The Bruising Thorns lost, meaning Hunter will be cursed and Milly will receive an extra vote against her at her first elimination ceremony. What does the curse mean? The Theme Plays
The Changing Roses - Girls' Cabin
We open in The Changing Roses girls cabin, where all of their team's girls (sans Zoey who has her own room in the main building as there's currently no room for the returnees) are sitting on their bunks. Arabelle and Jillian have one bunk with Jillian being on the bottom bunk, and Eloise and Sami have the other with Sami on the bottom.
The girls are mid conversation.
"This is so cool! I've never even seen a bunk bed in real life before." Eloise says.
Sami seems surprised. "Really?"
"I'm an only child and my parents are a bit… protective?" She shrugs.
Arabelle mutters something under her breath. Arabelle then shakes her head. "Anyway, bunkbeds aside, what do you guys think of the vets?"
"Shawn seems weird. Zoey seems nice though." Jillians says shily.
"I don't think it's smart to keep them, especially once we get to the merge." Sami adds.
Arabelle nods. "Exactly what I was thinking. I say that we buddy-up with Zoey in case our team ever has to vote someone off. If we do, we first vote off a guy to keep the girls strong, and if we have another vote, we vote her off after."
"Sounds good to me!" Sami agrees. "I don't want her to get to the Final 2 just off of immunities."
Eloise nods.
Confessional - Jillian, The Jealous Gossiper [The Changing Roses]
"Arabelle is really smart and nice! I definitely want to work with her. Plus she's helping me get over my camera shiness!"
Confessional - Sami, The Performing Arts Geek [The Changing Roses]
"She seems smart and has a good plan… but that could be dangerous. Of course I have to go along with it for now though."
Confessional - Eloise, The Sheltered Rich Chick [The Changing Roses]
"I feel bad about planning on voting people out, but it is Total Drama after all, and I really don't want to go home…"
The Changing Roses - Boys' Cabin
Clayton is sitting on one bottom bunk while Craig and Walter are sitting across from him on the other one. Michael is nowhere to be seen.
"Look, I'm just saying I'm totally gonna hookup with one of the girls." Walter says grinning.
Clayton rolls his eyes. "Doubt it." Walter looks mildly offended while Craig stifles a laugh.
"Oh c'mon, the girls are hot, I'm hot, making out is hot. It all comes together!" He pauses. "Or are you just scared I'm gonna take the girl you like?"
"I don't like any of the girls."
"Oh come on, there are nine girls here, all of which are smokin'. You gotta like at least one."
"I'm not into girls."
Walter sputters. "OH! My bad, dude. That's chill. Totally chill."
Confessional - Craig; The Scheming Gamer [The Changing Roses]
"These two are dumbasses. Definitely gonna use them in this game."
Confessional - Walter; The Manipulative Jerk [The Changing Roses]
"Clayton being into dudes is totally chill with me! I swear I don't judge anyone like that! I mean it's not really normal but I'm fine with it! Yeah! Not weird at all! Although sleeping in the same cabin with him is a little… uncomfortable... but it's still fine!"

"I'm ace.", he deadpans.
The Bruising Thorns - Girls' Cabin
Milly and Coco are talking. Leilani and Max aren't there.
Milly pouts. "This extra vote really stinks. I was so close to finishing that puzzle, too!"
"Don't worry, now that we're friends I won't vote for you!" Coco says, smiling really widely.
"Awh, promise?"
"Promise!"
Confessional - Milly; The Quiet Flirt [The Bruising Thorns]
"This is working better than I thought! Almost the entire team has promised not to vote for me! They could be lying to my face, but most of them seem too dumb to do that."
Confessional - Coco; The Friend Collector [The Bruising Thorns]
"I'm very protective of my friends! And Milly and I are really close! Although I still plan to befriend more people while I'm here."
The Bruising Thorns - Guys' Cabin
Hunter and Damien are sitting on a bed talking animatedly. Gonzo and Magnus are by the door.
"Hey guys, we're going to head to breakfast! Wanna join us?" Gonzo asks. "... Guys? Guys!"
Hunter and Damien are still talking, apparently not having heard the other boy.
Magnus laughs. "Well you tried. I don't think they'd wanna come anyway. Let's go!"
Confessional - Mangus; The Baseball Freak [The Bruising Thorns]
"Our team gets along fine but there are a lot of groups within it. Hunter and Damien are inseparable, Coco and Milly seem kinda close, Gonzo and I get along well, Leilani and Max hang out, and Shawn… Shawn mostly just talks to Zoey. I guess there's this weird divide between the veterans and the rest of us. Shawn seems chill, but he's also a threat, and if he doesn't start making friends soon he might be the first one off our team."
Outside the Cabins
As Gonzo and Magnus walk out the door, they see Max and Leilani working out in the clearing.
Magus waves. "Hey guys, we're headed up for breakfast. You wanna join us?"
The girls stop what they're doing and get up. Max looks to Leilani who just shrugs.
"Sure! I could eat." Max says, patting her stomach.
Magnus grins as the four of them head up to the main building.
Inside the Main Building
Zoey, Shawn and Michael are in the dining area of the main building - an open room with a ceiling a floor up.
Shawn has leaves, dirt, and branches covering him, and both eyes are open with one twitching.
After a moment of them eating in silence, Zoey speaks up.
"So… Shawn, are you okay?"
Shawn sighs. "I decided to sleep outside again this season just in case somebody here is a zombie. Apparently the squirrels here are aggressive."
Michael and Zoey glance at each other.
Michael speaks up. "If it makes you feel better, I could hear some of the other guys on your team snoring from my cabin. I don't think zombies snore that loudly."
"Also, our rooms have locks on the door. I don't think anybody could break in." Zoey says.
Shawn sighs again and buries his head in his arms.
The door opens and the group of four outside the cabins come in.
"Is he okay?" Gonzo asks, gesturing to Shawn.
Zoey and Michael shrug as Shawn groans again.
"... Probably not then! Well anyway, we're just gonna grab some breakfast. Mind if we join you?"
Zoey smiles. "Go ahead!"
After grabbing their trays from the lunch lady, the four sit down.
Max grins. "This looks great! I'm starving." She begins digging in almost wolvishly, making Michael look slightly queasy.
Despite his uncomfortableness at Max's enthusiasm for the food, he speaks up. "So what do you guys think this whole 'curse' business is going to be? In the application they asked for ideas but they haven't said anything about how it will work."
Max shrugs. "Probably just get disadvantages or powers when certain things happen", she says through a mouthful of food.
Shawn nods. "Knowing Chris, we won't know until we get cursed."
The door opens again, and all of the rest of the contestants come in in a group, noisily talking.
The camera fades to black as they all get their food and sit down.
The camera fades in again to Chris coming through the door.
"Hello everyone! I hope you all slept well! Well, okay, I don't really care. Either way, I have some news!"
The contestants get quiet and start paying attention.
"For this season, the voting will be a little different… votes will carry over from one tribal to the next! So if the first tribal is eight to one, the one vote will carry on and could completely change the course of the game. This can make or break your game, so be careful. Also, instead of one tribal council tonight, there will be two! Each team will have a seperate immunity challenge where one member of their tribe will win immunity. Everyone else will immediately be at risk, so be careful! … Any questions?"
Immediately the majority of contestants raised a hand.
Chris looks mildly concerned before shrugging. "Well, ask a cameraman. I've got stuff to do. Yo, Hunter, dawg, come with me! You have a curse to get!"
Hunter looks slightly concerned but goes to Chris anyway.
Chris looks at the camera and points finger guns. "We'll be back after this commercial break!"
AN: Normally I wouldn't stop mid-episode, however, this has taken me forever to write this far and I have a lot going on, so I think I'm going to split every "episode" into two parts, at least for now. Thank you for your patience!
