**1 hour time skip**

The sands still flowing around, getting more violent as the battle continued. In the immense field of scorching sands and hardened stones, it was total chaos. Armies of mortals in gold shining armor decorated in different Egyptians-like symbols, were fleeing out and ready to surrender from the sheer power there were facing. While some continued fighting because they rather died in war than to run away, with their pride fully brightened, they were still no match to the massive floating statue filled with huge masses of blue light energy. The arcane being seemed to laugh with every one and each of those laughs being louder and more joyful as he shoots out destructive barrages of magical comets, disintegrating everything it touches. Dozens, then hundreds and then thousands of people and animals, completely vaporized without a single trace left of them in mere fractions of seconds.

Then, in another region of the battlefield, there's two gigantic beasts fighting and clashing with their massive weapons, surrounded by vortexes of sand. The first one, having a jackal head, seemed calm and intelligent, yet frustrated and seemingly soon exhausted. He wore shining golden armor plates on his knees, arms and shoulders while also having a golden helmet on his head, shaped so that it fit on his fox like ears. He also wore a green kilt with gold lines on it, held by his blue rope bel. The canine demigod, covered in long white bandages around his limbs, swung his emerald colored axed-shaped staff, encrusted in gold with a cyan gem in its head, at the enemy he was facing, each swings being precisely blocked by the half moon shaped axe blade of his opponent.

The second gigantic demigod was a living crocodile with bloody eyes, filled with unending rage and fury. This crazed being didn't wore much. He had a small silver crown on his head and wore a brown rectangular wool undergarment. He also wore some grey armor plates on his lower legs, shoulders and neck. There also a green gem on his crown and axe, glowing so brightly. His dark gold half lunar weapon, tainted in blood of the unfortunate humans who stood in his path.

With his reptilian left claw, he swung heavily with all his sheer force, relentlessly swaying to his adversary, who is successfully blocking all of the raging attacks. Unfortunately for him, he couldn't keep blocking for much longer. His opponent was too powerful for him to handle. His stamina was declining and the raged fueled beast noticed it. Seeing the perfect opportunity, the crazed reptile forcefully lifted the staff of the tired demigod with his right claw and then immediately gave a deep cut to his fatigued enemy's right leg.

Nasus screamed in pain and stood on his injured leg while the other is on the sand, dropping his weapon on the floor. He looked up at his enraged and once beloved brother Renekton, who was laughing at the sight of his weakened brother. Renekton kicked the sands, causing some of the sands to be pored in the open wound of Nasus's injured leg. The fallen demigod screamed in agonizing pain. His scream echoed in Renekton's ears. For him, the scream sounded like a musical masterpiece but it wasn't enough. He needed to hear something else. He needed to hear the final scream of pain of his brother that he considered to him as a betrayer. He wanted to kill him. That's all that he could think of. To kill his brother Nasus.

"I'm going to finally have my revenge!" Renekton shouted to his brother. "For years I've waited for this very moment, brother Nasus! You're going to pay for betraying me!"

"I didn't betrayed you, brother Renekton." Nasus replied while catching his breath and footing. "They're all just pure lies that Xerath is telling you."

"LIAR!" Renekton yelled.

Bathed in pure fury and vengeance, he kicked Nasus's chest, spinning him over the dunes of sand before landing on his back. Renekton walked towards his powerless brother, laughing at him. He then stepped on Nasus's chest with his left gator foot, holding him place. Nasus tried to grab a handful of sand in order to throw it and blind his brother. But his evil sibling was too quick as he stepped quickly with heavy force on Nasus's left arm with his other foot.

"You're not yourself! Listen to me brother Renekton!" Nasus screamed in pain, feeling that his arm was about to get crushed in pieces. "Xerath is manipulating you! This is not you! Please remember who you are!"

"SHUT UP!" Renekton screamed. "You're the one who is lying to me. Xerath was right! You left me to rot in total darkness for a thousand of years!"

Nasus, with his remaining strength, tried to free himself out, but it was only a last struggle. Renekton, readying his weapon for the killing blow, couldn't stop laughing. He dreamed for this moment ever since he got freed from the Tomb of Emperors. And at last, his dream was coming true.

"Any last word before I joyfully kill you?" the mad crocodile god joyfully said.

Before the almost killed demigod could mustered a single word, he was briefly interrupted by an earthquake. It wasn't a natural earthquake, but an earthquake made by a human as a barrage of giant rock boulders were shot towards them, hitting and forcefully pushing the killer demigod away as far as possible from the other damaged demigod. Renekton flew away before falling to the ground and dropping his weapon. He wasn't knock out of consciousness but the hit were enough to put him down on the sandy floor for a few moments. Nasus stood up and was calmly catching his breath. He then looked up to his left side.

An ocean wave of moving solid rocks came towards his direction. On top of that wave was a young girl surfing on a rock made surf board like she was surfing on an ocean water wave. She looked young but her age showed that she was a young adult.

Her eyes were deep brown, her skin was hazelnut color, her lips were light brown and her short eyebrows were black. The young girl wore an ionian red overcoat were the sleeves were way longer than her arms but they weren't covering completely her arms as it only covered the top side of her arms and not under like if the sleeve was cut in two and the bottom parr was removed. The large sleeves floated in the air as she surfed the moving rocks, giving the illusion that she was wearing a scarf. She wore a purple Shuriman inner tunic that lengthened till her upper quads and its sleeves covered till her forearms. She wore black pants and brown boots which are both made out of leather. There also were gold color lines across the edges of her upper clothing. There was also three big rocks attached at the end of her sleeves while there was another three floating closely below the sleeves like if there was an extra invisible sleeve part attaching to its normal sleeves. She even had three small rocks has her earrings. She also had multiple rectangular shaped rocks as her shoulder pads and circular shaped ones as her collar while also having a rock made bracelet on the back side of each of her hands. To top it all off, she wore in front of her short brown hair a small half flower shaped hairpin were the four petals were gold colored and the center of it was grey. Underneath the hairpin were three small circle shaped rock, resting tightly on her hair. The whole hairpin seemed to be also made from rock.

With one hand gesture, the girl slowly descended the rocky wave till it completely dissipated to the floor, underneath the layers of sand. She hoped off from the rock board and then carefully sprinted towards the injured god, who was starting to heal back his injuries.

"Are you alright Nasus?" the girl worryingly asked.

"I'm alright Taliyah." Nasus replied "But I need a little more time to recover."

His wounds were recovering, but he couldn't stand on two feet without the burning pain interrupting him. Unfortunately for him, he won't have enough time to recover as his brother stood up and was yelling out of pure rage and hatred. Impatient, the Butcher of Sands ran towards his prize kill. He ran so fast, faster then anything that Nasus ever seen from Renekton even before the times when they weren't enemies. He was eager to execute his brother.

But the human girl wouldn't let him kill Nasus, the demigod that her family and tribe worshiped, spoked of in ancient fairy tales. Taliyah, not afraid of the rampaging killer, took a deep breath. She was only one who could buy time for Nasus to fully recover but she had small doubts of herself. She didn't knew if she was really capable of at least harming Renekton as he doesn't seem to have any injuries after being hit by her barrage attack. But there was no going back. Renekton was furiously mad and wanted to make sure that nothing was going to block his path between him and his brother.

"Prepare to die, foolish mortal!" Renekton yelled as he charged towards Taliyah, with his long jaw wide opened, filled with bloody teeth. He hoped to strike enough fear to her so she could be either paralyzed out of fear or make her coward away from Nasus or so he taught.

The brave young woman raised both of her arms, raising a small mountain from underneath the sands, hard colliding it right under the giant beast's jaw. This gave him a good concussion, enough for him to fall on his knees. He did flinch from the elemental attack, but it caused more trouble for girl than for Nasus as the crazy gator immediately turn his sights on her. Taliyah began to surf once more on her rock board, surfing away far from Renekton, making sure that she was away from Nasus. Renekton soon followed her with no hesitation, leaving his brother behind, saving him for later.

Taliyah felt unease as the Butcher chased her down, closing the gap between them at a fast pace. She faced behind and waved her hands in different motions, with each of them creating shooting ground pillars from beneath in order to stop Renekton.

But Renekton managed to not get hit by single one of her attacks. He bashed through the pillars, jumped on top of them and even spanned past through them like an unstoppable drill piercing every solid material thrown at hit. He manically laughed as he was getting closer and closer to the floating prey.

Panicked, the escaping girl tried desperately to speed up, but she could only go so fast as she didn't completely mastered her stone weaving powers. She could only move so much rocks and stones without losing her balance or control over the earth. She couldn't do so much when multitasking two different moves. Even if she stop attacking and kept focusing on escaping, his predator would eventually get to her.

With no more time wasting, Renekton threw his immense butchering axe towards the solid brown ocean, hitting and shattering the rising small mountains in pieces and dust, shooting the poor girl into the air. As Taliyah flew vertically in the air, she couldn't feel any connections with the earth. And then, when she started to fell down, she still couldn't get anything to move.

Renekton, laughed again as he always does, stationed himself so that the falling young woman would above him.

"Time for a final meal!" he shouted as he opened his gigantic jaw, licking his red tainted and sharp teeth with his slithering pink and long tongue, ready for his appetite to be satisfied.

Frightened at the sight of the beast's jaw, Taliyah could see her tragic end lying ahead in mere few seconds. She felt throbbing pain on her stomach, shivering cold on her entire skin body, her heart pumped faster and faster and her breathing was shallowed. She knew she couldn't do anything. She wouldn't able use her powers by the time she met her end. She thought to herself that if she didn't came unprepared, without fully mastering her powers, she wouldn't be in this mess in the first place. She was done for. She began to see images of her parents, her tribe and her friends.

"I'm sorry everyone" she whispered in her head. "I failed you... all"

Fully sinked in despair, she closed her eyes and accepted her fate, knowing that she tried her very best, even if it was to protect a single demigod. As she fell, she felt a heat sensation. The warmth of the savage beast overwhelmed her, getting hotter and hotter until a final touch of warmth hit her complete body, finally engulfed in total darkness.

Or is that what she thought so to be

Taliyah still felt the cold wind blowing out through her hair, the gust of sands sliding across her clothes, the warmth of someone close to her, breathing closely on her face.

She carefully opened eyes. She could only see a shadowy figure as the sun's bright light rays lightly blinded her, but the stranger approached his head towards hers, blocking the sunlight from Taliyah's eyes with the large brim of his black hat. As she completely opened her eyes, she could see a light brown face of a young male with black eyes.

"I guess I'm your brave knight in shining armor." the young stranger laughed.

Taliyah was deeply confused but felt an inner sensation of peace as she was gently dropped on a rocked floor. The young male softly caressed each of her left and right small hair tails, sliding his hand carefully to her right soft cheek. This kind action highly comforted her.

"The name's Mathusan but you can call me Mat. What's your name princess?" the young man asked while wearing a smile.

The young woman stood up and looked directly at Mathusan's eyes.

"My...my name is...is Taliyah." she said as she completely stood up on both feet.

"Well Taliyah, our mission isn't done just yet." Mat said "We gotta help Nasus. He's currently fighting his brother."

Taliyah looked over at the direction that Mat pointed out to where the two beast gods were clashing. Nasus, fully recovered, battled his enraged brother using safe swings and parries with his staff, playing more on the defensive side as Renekton fought more aggressive, swinging heavy blows with his crescent axe.

"Taliyah, I'm gonna need you to give me a boost once I shout your name. Can you do that?" Mat asked her.

"Ah...uhm yes but I don't kno..."

"Alright then. Be prepared." the boy said as he cut Taliyah's phrase.

The boy proceeded to rush towards the two mighty beings who both seemed equally matched. Taliyah, still not fully comprehending what just happened nor knowing how she managed to survive, she positioned herself with her arms pointed downwards, waiting for the signal.

He ran through the sands, he leaped from the fallen rocks left by the stone weaver and made a final dash towards Renekton. This seemed very dangerous and crazy to just run towards a powerful and berserk demigod but Mat had already formulated a plan.

"NOW NASUS!" yelled the male in dark clothing.

Nasus heard the mortal's cue and didn't hesitated as threw his staff to his brother. This took Renekton by surprised as he wasn't expecting such attack from him. Renekton managed to deflect the staff but was soon grabbed by the neck. Nasus forcefully kept in place his crazy brother as he wrapped his right arm around the gator's neck while the another arm wrapped around his brother's left arm, causing Renekton to drop his weapon.

"Release me brother Nasus!" Renekton shouted, struggling to push back his brother.

"This is for your own good, brother Renekton." Nasus calmly replied.

But Nasus had no idea what was going to happen. He did knew the young stranger's plan as they did discussed it while he was recovering from his wounds, but only the execution part of it. He didn't knew how or what the stranger was going to actually do once he executed his plan.

"How much do you care for your brother, Nasus?"

These said words from Mat, echoed through his head.

"I can save your brother, but I'll need you to trust me on this."
"So, will you trust me, Nasus?"

He had to trust him once he heard that he could save his brother from the chains of insanity even though he just met him a few minutes ago. But he had no other choice. He had to either trust the stranger human that could saved his beloved brother or watched himself get killed. Or even watched himself kill his dear brother, something that Nasus didn't wished for it to happen.

"NOW TALIYAH!" Mat yelled once more as he came very close to the two squabbling brothers.

Taliyah heard his signal loud and clear. With one deep breath, the stone weaver waved her arms diagonally upwards in the air from left to right, creating a pillar underneath Mat's feet, reaching heights that are taller than both demigods. Being on top the new created pillar, Mat took a big dive, holding his hat from blowing off with his left hand while safely landing on Renekton's head.

The young man raised his right hand in the air. His hand began to glow in bright white light, emitting out shining white light rays and rainbow sparkling waves.

"Time for you to remember the truth, Renekton." Mat said as he slammed his engulfed flashing hand on the giant reptile's head.

Beams of white light shot out from Renekton's eyes as they turned bright white. Screaming in pain, Renekton pushed back his brother with one fast sweep of his right claw, ripping flesh and blood from Nasus's face. Nasus fell to the ground on his back, yelling in pain from the attack. Having massive headaches, Renekton flicked out the human from his head with two fingers.

As for Mat, he found himself spinning out in the air as the speeding winds blew hard on his face. As he was about to fall towards the ground, Mat gained back his movement, vertically positioning himself and raising his arms in a 90° angle so that his coat could float through the air. This caused him to slow down his free fall till he began to slowly glide towards the sands before landing on it, his right returned to normal.

Renekton, completely berserk and in full rage mode, took his weapon and immediately swung it on his once more injured brother.

Fortunately for Nasus, Renekton didn't land his mark as the crescent axe laid next to his brother. He dropped his weapon and yelled out his brother's name. He quickly rushed to Nasus and held his dear brother with his claws, one lifting the head while the other rested on the chest.

Nasus was surprisedly shocked. He couldn't believe it what he was seeing. Heavy tears dropped from the orange glowing eyes of the crying crocodile, Renekton felt emotional pain through his heart. Oceans of guilt flooded his mind. All he could think of right now was for his beloved brother's safety as he looked at the scarred canine face.

"I'm sorry Nasus." he cried "I'm so sorry. Please forgive me."

His words, his eyes and his tears brought joy to the harmed beast animal and made his heart relieved from all pain. For the first time in a millennial, Nasus was actually showing a real smile on his face.

"Its alright, brother Renekton." Nasus said as he placed a hand on his brother's cheek. "It wasn't your fault. This my fault, I shouldn't left you locked away with Xerath."

"Don't you dare say that!" Renekton said. "I took that decision, not you. But I was took weak and let Xerath manipulated me. So please forgive me, brother."

Nasus understood and accepted his brother's forgiveness. He knew that it was neither them at fault. It was their enemy that forced Renekton to turn against him.

The invincible brothers were finally reunited after being separated for a thousand years. While Renekton tried his best to stop his tears, Nasus comforted him and wiped out his brother's warm tears.
