Chapter 2: Conversation with the Dogfather

Sirius shakes his head and moves closer to get a better look. "Harry?"

He attempts to touch his shoulder, but he feels a burning sensation in his hand when it gets too close to the chains.

"What the hell?" "What these things are, they aren't coming off." "But that begs the question; who put these on him and why?"

Sirius is pulled from his musing by the sound of groaning. He turns to his pup to see that Harry is starting to awaken. Harry slowly opens his eyes and Sirius is relieved to see his green eyes, so much like his father's.

"Harry?"

Harry looks around for a moment, before focusing on the voice and turns to see a familiar face, "Sirius?"

Sirius smiles in joy at his pup recognizing him, "Oh Pup, I'm so glad to see you."

Harry looks at him for a moment, before looking around the room, "Where are we?"

"We're in my home, Grimmauld Place #12."

Harry turns to his godfather, "How did I get here?"

Sirius shakes his head, "No idea, you simply appeared in giant burst of flame."

Harry winces as the memories start to return, before finally noticing the chains, 'Did he plan this?'

"So, Pup, would you like to explain why you're in my home, chained up and looking older."

Harry starts to explain, when he realizes something, "What do you mean, look older?"

Sirius chuckles, "Have you looked in the mirror recently Pup?" "I've heard of kids growing up so fast these days, but this is ridiculous."

Harry breathes hard as a horrible realization comes to him, "Sirius…what year of Hogwarts am I supposed to be at?"

Sirius arches an eyebrow, "Well…obviously, you're supposed to be starting you're first year."

Harry blinks before gritting his teeth, "That bastard, he knew…he knew this would happen."

"Harry?"

Harry sighs, "Have a seat Sirius, this is going to be difficult to explain."

Sirius shrugs and pulls up a chair, sitting down in front of his pup.

"The first thing you need to know is that I've already lived through all of this."

At Sirius' confused expression, he elaborates, "It all started during my fifth year a Hogwarts."

Sirius' eyes widen and he gains a look of bewilderment, "Fifth Year!?" "What the hell do you mean fifth year!?"

"As I said, this will be difficult to explain." "Do you remember when Voldemort attacked me as a baby?"

Sirius nods, "Of course, how could I forget?"

"Do you know what a horcrux is?"

Sirius gains a horrified expression, "Pup…you're not saying?"

Harry nods, "He didn't intend for it to happen, but he unknowingly implanted a piece of his soul inside me."

Sirius places his head in his hands, "Oh Pup, I'm so sorry."

"It gets worse, I was only one of his horcruxes."

Sirius turns to him sharply, "How many did he make?"

"Including me?" "Seven."

"Oh god, he's more insane than I thought."

Harry nods, "Yes, and there's more." "Dumbledore knew, he knew all along."

"Wait, what!?"

Harry sighs, "He knew and planned to have me killed after Voldemort was defeated."

Sirius jumps to his feet with an angry expression, "He did what!?"

"Calm down Sirius, get angry after I've finished."

Sirius sits down, grumbling about smartass godsons.

"As I was saying, Voldemort eventually returned during my fourth year." "Then, during my fifth year, I learned of a prophecy that was created on the night that I was born."

Sirius nods, "I know of it."

"My friends and I broke into the Department of Mysteries to find it, when Voldemort and the Death Eaters intervened." "Bellatrix was going to use the killing curse against you, but I jumped in the way and took the hit."

Sirius went completely pale at this revelation and jumped out of his chair, "Harry, why would you do something like that?" "I've lived my life, you're young, you have a future ahead of you."

Harry gives Sirius a sad smile, "I was tired Sirius, after all the manipulation from Dumbledore, I just wanted it to be over."

Sirius sits down with tears in his eyes, "Oh Pup, you shouldn't have done such a foolish thing."

Harry sighs, "Anyway, after my soul entered the Veil, I did not enter the afterlife." "Rather, my soul was reborn into a place called Middle-Earth."

Before he can continue however, they heard the sound of Sirius' front door opening.

"Yo, Sirius, you home?"

The two of them turn to see a group of familiar faces enter the home. James and Lily Potter, along with Charles, the Weasley Family, Remus Lupin, Rubeus Hagrid, Minerva McGonagall and Hermione Granger, Nymphadora Tonks and, of course, Albus Dumbledore.

"Yo Sirius, what's going…on…?"

Everyone's eyes widen when they see Harry chained to the chair.

"Sirius…what is…?"

Sirius growls and jumps to his feet, "What the hell do you want!?"

Remus puts his hands up, "Padfoot, we were worried about you and…"

Sirius scoffs, "You and Tonks I can understand, but the rest of you I don't want to see."

Dumbledore steps forward with a twinkle in his eye, "Sirius my boy, we…"

Sirius snarls, "I got a bone to pick with you, old man!"

Before he can continue his tirade, Harry narrow his eyes, "Sirius!"

Said dogfather turns to his pup, "Sit. Down."

"But Harry…"

Harry sighs and closes his eyes for a moment, before opening them again.

"My story is not over, and I have much more to tell you."

Sirius grumbles, causing Harry to smirk, "Oh come one Sirius, how are you supposed to get a girlfriend with that attitude?"

Sirius scoffs and runs a hand through his hair, "The ladies love me Pup, there ain't anything wrong with my attitude."

Harry arches and eyebrow, "Uh huh, whatever you say."

Sirius face faults, before standing up, "You hear this Mooney?" "No respect from our Pup, no respect whatsoever."

Remus chuckles, "Oh lighten up Padfoot." "He's just trying to make a point."

Sirius grumbles, "Whatever."

He walks over and pulls Remus and Tonks over to Harry and sits them all down in the chairs, "Continue, Pup."

Harry nods, "Now then, where was I?"
