A lady could be seen in kitchen cooking something, wearing a light colored saari with a high bun neatly tied upon her head; she seems to be ready to go somewhere. Her sober expressions and fast working hands were showing that she wants to end her task as soon as possible. After looking at the time her hands even started moving even faster. After putting bread in the toaster and tea upon the stove she went to her sons's room.

Upon entering she found one of the beds was empty so she inferred that her elder son must be the one taking bath as earlier she had heard faint sound of an alarm clock.

Lady said in a high pitched voice looking at the washroom's door: Jeet beta nashta ready hai, jaldi sy tyar ho k aa jao or aaty samy Daya ko bhi sath ly aana...(she said looking at her little baby with a smile) mere sy to yeh uthny sy raha...

She was going out of the room when heard the sound of the opening door. She turned and faced Abhijeet who was now rubbing his head with towel saw his mother and found her already ready.

Abhijeet with a smile: Morning Mumma...

Disha replied with same expressions: Good morning... beta jaldi sy tyar ho jao aap aj bilkul late nhi hona chaho gy na?

Abhijeet: jee maa bus dus min mai aarhy hain... (Disha nodded her head and left from there)

After combing his hair, he started waking up his brother who was in deep sleep.

Abhijeet: Daya utho... (shaking him lightly) Dayaa... uth ja bachhy... (again shook him) school k liye late ho jaye ga na phir... (Daya just hummed a little in middle teeling that he is in no mood to wake up) uth ja na aaj test hai na maths ka... chal uth ja na...

Daya sat on his bed with a messy head: yyyaaahhhhh (he yawned, his face was still tired looking) kiya bhaiya... thori dair or sony daity to kiya chala jata tumhara?

Abhijeet now closing his cuff-links after wearing his shirt: kyun bhai aaj school nhi jana kiya janab ny? (seeing his tired face) or itna dull kyun lag raha hai ? neend nhi puri hui kiya?

Daya with another yawn spoke: nyyyiiiiii... rraaaat koo...yaaaahhhhh... dair tk test ki... tyari kr rha tha shayad issi wajah sy... neend nhi puri hui...

Abhijeet took a deep sigh after looking his face: mjhe sb pata hai dair raat tk kis test ki tyari ho rhi thi... (Daya looked here and there as he understood that his brother is aware of his late night games session) bhai sahab aaj yunhi jamaaiiyan lety huye test dain gy... (teased) or fail ho jayein gy test main...

Daya hardly threw the covers on floor and stood up from the bed and said with confidence: Mai kabhi bhi fail nhi hota... ( up the collar of his collarless shirt and smirked) humesha top he krta hun... ab bhi dekh lena aap...

Abhijeet picked the covers from floor, folded them and neatly placed it on the bed's footer after correcting the Bed's spread: haan haan, daikh lain gy... (told him to hurry) pehly aap tyar ho jayein, bahar nashta tyar hai or maa wait kr rhi hain... (looking his wrist watch; it was striking 7:10 A.M.) pury paanch minute mai tum mje bahar table pe chahiye ho...

Listening to this Daya rushed to the washroom. Abhijeet got busy in arranging the room.

Disha was seating on the dinning table staring at the tea cup in her hand. She Looked like in some kind of a thought...

Disha was preparing for lunch as it is time for her children to return from school. She was stirring the mixture with spatula when her elbow touched the glass bowl and it fell on the ground. The sound of shattered bowl jerked her badly. She did not know why she felt uneasy and unusual; It's strange she thought. She looked down, took a deep breath and kneel down on the floor. She started picking up the pieces of the glass and a glass piece pierced in her palm making a big cut on her palm, blood started flowing freely from her hand. She hurriedly put her hand under the running tap. The blood was not stopping, she ran to her room and somehow tied the bandage around her hand. When she came out of her room there was smell of something burning. She ran to the kitchen and saw that the food she had been cooking was burnt to crisp. The stove was turned off, there was an unusual feeling, a strange burning in her chest did not allow her to continue cooking. She suddenly felt like her whole energy had been soaked out of her.

Disha sitting at her bed saw her wound: pata nhi kiya ho gaya hai aj mjhe... aaj itna careless ho gai main... (feeling pain in her hand) bachy bhi aany waly hongy or khana sara jal gaya... (wander on her carelessness) aaj tk kabhi mere ssy khana nhi jala, aaj pata nhi kiya ho gaya mjhe... esa krti hun k halwa bna leti hun bachon k liye, jaldi sy ban jaye ga ab wesy bhi zyada time nhi hai... (she stood up to move out when suddenly felt that something was snavelled off her; She again sat on the bed with a strange grief in her heart ) yeh kiya ho raha aaj mjhe, itna ajeeb kyun feel ho raha hai... (She drank the glass of water laying on the side table)

She was lost in her thoughts when the doorbell rang; the sound of the doorbell shook her to the core.

Disha: pata nhi is time kon a gaya hai... bachon ko aany mai to abhi bhi adha ghanta hai... (doorbell again rang) (loudly) aik min aa rhi hun...

With perplexion in her heart she went to open the door. She didn't know why but she didn't want to open the door.

Again the sound of the doorbell echoed in her house, it brought her out of her thoughts and finally she opened the door.

Disha was stunned looking at the visitors, at last found her lost voice and asked: G aap log?
