Chapter Two

Morgan Grimes was lost. His girlfriend had just broken up with him in Hawaii. She broke up with him after he lost his job due to an unfortunate case of food poisoning that struck his patrons at the hibachi restaurant. Morgan honestly did not know that the meat had to be set at a certain temperature to kill any bacteria. His only choice was to go back to Burbank and grovel to Big Mike for his job back at the Buymore. At least he would have Chuck. Ever loyal Chuckster. Morgan packed his bag and headed to the airport for his long journey home. Seven hours later his feet hit North American soil. His first stop was to go to the Bartowski/Woodcomb casa and try to get chucks help convincing big mike to take him back. As he walked up to the Morgan door he noticed the lights were off. He tried opening up his door to surprise chuck but it was locked. He then tried the main door and was also unsuccessful. Morgan thought this was odd as it was still quite early in the morning and Chuck should be at home.
"Maybe he was at Sarah's?", Thought Morgan.
Morgan shrugged, took out his phone and dialed Chucks cell. What came to his surprise was a out of service message. Again Morgan was puzzled. He then decided hat he will head over to the Buymore on his own and hopefully be able to intercept chuck before being seen by big mike or even wore, Jeff and Lester. 10 minutes later Morgan was at the entrance of the Buymore. The ginormous store loomed over him intimidatingly. It's green and yellow sign bore into his very soul. Time to face the music, thought Morgan, and with a large gulp Morgan walked into the air conditioned building.
"Long time no see Grimes" said Lester right as Morgan entered.
"Hey Jeff, the traitor is back. He obviously thought he was too goof for us simple folk"
Morgan rolled his eyes in response to Lester's quip.
"Where is Charles? I need to speak to him?"
"You didn't hear did you" leered Jeff.
"Hear what?"
Lester spoke up, "Chuckster lost his shit a week or so after you left. He up and quit and told the boss man to fuck himself with a donut"
"It was great", Jeff added. "He stuck it to the big man".
Before Morgan could inquire more information, Big Mike interrupted, "Grimes! My boy, you have come back"
"Hi big mike" stuttered Morgan nervously as he twisted his hands.
"I was wondering if my old position is still available? I know I left but I have been a loyal employee and I have put many hours into this store. I have faced the horrors of Black Friday many years and I know I was never the best employee but I know my way with this job" said Morgan gaining confidence.
"Of course you are welcome back my boy, your mom would put me on the couch if I turned you away"
Morgan had to keep himself from gagging at the thought of Big Mike and his mom in bed together.
"Thank you so much sir! You wont regret rehiring me. I will be a model Buy more employee, I can give you a Morgan Grimes Gaurantee on that" beamed Morgan.
"That is the proper BuyMore attitude, Come pick up a shirt and get those new refrigerators scanned" boomed big mike as he walked away.

Chuck just left the recruitment center and made the long trek home as he had to relinquish his nerd herder. In two weeks he leaves for basic training down in San Antonio and after that overseas to Afghanistan. In the mean time he is going to get in shape, build up some stamina and hopefully develop some muscle. The first thing chuck did when he got home was send an email to Ellie and Awesome.
Hey Sis! I hope you and Awesome are having a great time in Africa. I quit the Buymore today (and I can hear your screams of joy from another continent ). When I was at an install at a clients house yesterday he offered me a job working for the government! I am going to work for a private technology company installing and programming software on bases around the world. I will be an international nerd herder essentially. Sarah broke up with me (I know you are now crying. I know how much you wanted us together). Everything is fine though and it wont be like what happened with Jill so don't worry. I am not going back into that dark place. I am going to start a new chapter of my life. I'm going to meet interesting people and every day will be an adventure. I love you Sis and give Awesome my love too.
Chuck scanned over his email and sent it to Ellie. This will be his cover story. His sister will never know about him being in the military. He can still send postcards and letters from foreign countries without raising suspicion with Ellie. The last thing he needs is nagging from his sister. For the next two weeks chuck goes on morning and evening runs. He also has been using Awesome's exercise equipment.
2 weeks later
"Welcome to basic training. We are going to test all of you and see where in the marines would be the best fit. These next few weeks are going to be living hell. You are going to wish that you had died and then want to be killed again" said the marine officer.
The obstacle course was hell for Chuck however he managed to complete it everyday after the first day. At the end of the week the major had the recruits do target shooting. When Chuck was handed the rifle he was able to make every shot with pinpoint accuracy, even shots 1200 meters away. It was as if there was another intersect in his brain that gave him the exact measurements to hit every target.
"You will make a fine sniper Bartowski. Hell you have just surpassed our previous record holder Lieutenant Alexander Coburn for furthest shot. Congratulations Private Bartowski" said marine officer while shaking Chuck's hand.
Basic training ended 6 weeks later and Chuck, now known as Charlie Aces because he aces every shot, is shipped off to Afghanistan to be a sniper.
Present
Team intersect had just landed in Los Angeles and was in the process of checking security feeds at the airport.
"From the description that the agent took the suspect is tall with dark brown hair and a tan. This is the only information that we have on what Aces may look like", John Casey said to the group.
"Boy wonder here will look through the security feeds and see if he flashes or sees any suspicious characters and Walker, you are to help me question the flight attendants and pilots that were on the plane" ordered Casey.
Casey and Sarah spent the next hour tracking down possible witnesses to question. In the middle of questioning the co-pilot Sarah's phone buzzed. The text read MEET ME IN SECURITY ROOM. WE MAY HAVE A LEAD.
Casey and Sarah in response quickly rushed down to where Bryce was.
"What do you got" questioned Sarah.
"See this man here. He knows how to avoid security cameras so that they can't see his face. Combined with that fact that he had no luggage whatsoever I think this may be our guy" replied Bryce.
"Did you see where he left?" Asked Casey.
"He left in a taxi numbered 1995B. I called the taxi company and asked for their logs. That particular cab drove three different clients. Two of them fit the description. One headed to Anaheim and the other to Burbank."replied Bryce. "Unless he is going to Disney Land, I am placing my money on Burbank"
Sarah's heart gave a jolt at Bryce's response.
