Evelyn just kept sobbing and sobbing, 'I should have known...' Evelyn spoke with her voice so soft and pure even at times like this. 'He was right...' Evelyn hid in the bushes sobbing hoping and praying that nothing else bad would happen to her.
Meanwhile, a elderly kettle was walking in the forest. Most who have known him called him Elder Kettle. 'Oh, it's no surprise that I got caught in the rain!' the kettle chuckled. 'I just hope my boys are okay.' said Elder Kettle. 'Well, I should try to find my way back home.' Elder Kettle walked through the forest looking for a way back to his home, till he heard a voice. 'Huh?' said the kettle in confusion. 'Is anyone out there?!' exclaimed Elder Kettle with concern. Evelyn looked out and saw a elderly kettle calling out to anyone who might have been in the forest. Elder Kettle then saw Evelyn in the bushes. Evelyn gasped and hid back in the bushes.
Elder Kettle had a look of surprise on his face. Elder Kettle walked over to the bushes and pulled them back to find Evelyn sitting there soaked with rain. "Oh my!" "Young lady, are you okay?" questioned Elder Kettle. For it was strange to see a young girl hiding in the bushes in a storm. Evelyn stood still, feeling scared. Elder Kettle then looked at her feeling even more concerned then before. "Listen sweetie, it's okay I won't hurt you." said Elder Kettle. Evelyn looked back at the kettle feeling less scared then before.
"I trust you then."
Evelyn said with a smile. Evelyn stood up. "Thank you, sir." said Evelyn. "But of course! I can just leave you out here!" The kettle said with enthusiasm. "Come, now let's get going. My boys must be waiting for me." said Elder Kettle. Evelyn then pondered on what Elder Kettle said only to have one question. "Why were you walking out here alone, sir?" said Evelyn. "Just call me Elder Kettle, dear." Elder Kettle stated. "Me and my boys were out here just taking a walk but along the way we ended up splitting up..." Evelyn looked at the kettle curiously. For how would they split up? "Elder Kettle... why did you and your boys split up?" Evelyn said softly. "Well one of my boys heard somethin' and decided to go investigate. My other boy wanted to go along too." Elder Kettle stated. "Do you think they're okay, Elder Kettle?" Evelyn asked. "I'm sure they're waiting for us back at home. Let's get going, sweetie." Elder Kettle said as he began walking. "Okay." Evelyn said as she smiled at the kettle. They arrived home rather quickly, both soaked in water from the rain.
"Look dear, you can get yourself cleaned up in the bathroom." Elder Kettle said.
"Okay Elder Kettle!" Evelyn said rather cheerfully compared to her usual tone. The kettle just chuckled and made his way to the kitchen.
