Since I somehow already have a few people following this, (like, wow? Thanks! :D) I don't see why I shouldn't post more when I already have it written. So, here!

I don't own anything you recognize, warnings for angst (though to be fair this chapter is pretty low on the angst, tbh)

Will Solace was eating lunch with his friends when suddenly a loud crack rang out. He whipped his head in the direction of the sound, then turned to his boyfriend, Nico, beside him.

"Did you hear that?"

"How couldn't I, Solace? I'm pretty sure the whole camp heard that."

Will furrowed his eyebrows and bit his lip.

"That sounded like a gun. Do you think everything is alright?"

"I don't know. It sounded like it came from the forest. Why would there be gun out there? Hades, who would be out there?"

Will had to admit that Nico had a point. But his instincts were telling him that something was wrong. And that's when he remembered something.

"Isn't Bunker 9 in the middle of the forest?"

Finally, Nico also started to get concerned, though he was hiding it pretty well.

"I guess we could go check it out. You know. Just in case."

Will grinned. "My thoughts exactly."

Nico grabbed his boyfriend's hand. "C'mon. It'll be faster this way."

And they disappeared into the shadows.

What they saw when they entered Bunker 9 was a horror show.

Blood was everywhere. In the middle of it all, was Jason Grace. A bullet had torn through his chest, dangerously close to his heart. He had already passed out from blood loss. Cradling the bleeding boy was a tear-stricken Leo. The Latino was desperately pressing an old rag up to the wound and gently rocking his friend.

Will quickly took over.

"Leo, what happened!?" He pushed the boy out of the way and examined the wound. It was bad. To make matters worse, the bullet appeared to be made out of Celestial bronze.

Leo stared at the scene before him for a moment before sprinting out of the bunker.

"Leo!" Nico made to run after the distressed boy, but Will stopped him.

"Let him go. I need your help. Go back to camp and tell my siblings what's happened. Then grab some medical supplies and get back here. Quickly!"

Nico nodded grimly and disappeared.

Will patched up the wound as best he could with the materials he had on hand. Momentarily satisfied with his work, he started opening random drawers to see if he could find anything that could help until he got reinforcements.

"C'mon Leo, surely you have something I can use in here," he muttered. He moved quickly, almost frantically. With every second that passed, his heart beat a little faster.

His fingers caught on a small, unassuming drawer at the bottom of a cabinet. He yanked it open, and to his surprise, found several neat rows of pristine bandages and a couple containers of ambrosia. Shoved at the very back of the drawer were some old bloodied bandages.

Will didn't have time to question the existence of this unusual drawer. Thanking the gods, he grabbed the medical supplies and dashed back to Jason. He shoved a few pieces of ambrosia into Jason's mouth and was relieved to see a little color return to his pale face.

The door banged open, and Will turned to see Nico and several of his siblings run in, carrying even more supplies.

"Alright. I've done what I can so far, but he's not out of the woods yet. Literally. As soon as he's stabilized, we need to get him to the infirmary."

And with that, the children of Apollo got to work. Will just prayed that it would be enough.

Leo ran through the forest, seemingly not noticing the scratches he received from the bushes and thorns he pushed through. Only one thought ran through his head.

What have I done? What have I done? What have I done?!
