"Who are these guys?"

"The Yiga Clan. They are a band of thieves, though lately they have been getting bolder with their antics. Kidnappings, pillaging, to only name a few. But for them to be so bold as to come here…"

"Especially if they're going after Lady Riju." The other comments.

"Why would they want to go after Riju? Do they hold some sort of grudge?" I ask trying to understand the situation in what little time I have.

"Perhaps. Our town has had some run ins with them before."

"Let me guess. Once they set their sights on a goal, they don't care who gets In their way."

"Yes...which is why we are concerned for Lady Riju. She has a personal guard, but…" they both trail off, not wanting to finish this sentence. A coldness slips into my heart for a moment but I force it away. I force myself to stay focused.

"Mommy what are we going to do?" The little girl from earlier asks this question. The guards look at the small band they were protecting, and I can see the conflict in their eyes. They want to answer the call and defend their leader, but they can't just abandon the people they are responsible for protecting right now. They certainly can't take the travelers with them into a fight.

"Where is Riju right now? How do I get to her?" I ask, cracking my knuckles under the metal of my divine instrument. "Even if you manage to get these people somewhere safe, you won't make it back in time to defend your leader or others right? I'll go on ahead and find your leader."

"You would risk your life for our chief. Why?"

"Let's just say, I know the bitterness of losing someone you care about. I'd like to stop it if I can."

"Lady Riju is in the largest building farthest from the entrance. It's straight back, you can't miss it." The second guard scoffs,

"You talk big, but if we can't make it, what makes you think you can?" I don't answer her question. I just run off for the entrance I came from initially. As I do, my whole body fills with warmth, the muscles suddenly tightening, extending, contorting, as well as my bone, without any pain. The change is swift and painless, and the last thing to come is the white fur. Before I know it, I'm running on all fours, racing for the town.

"Look mommy! She turned into a big doggie!" I hear the little girl exclaim. Wild dog or wolf would be better but I have no time to correct. As I race into the town, I let off a growl, signaling my two companions to come. Without skipping a beat, I lock onto a group of the Yiga clan cornering, a group of women. With a loud bark I call on another divine instrument. Light encircles my neck as it solidifies into shining beads. I jump one of the Yiga clan members, applying just enough pressure to his neck to knock him out. As the other members try to attack I command the chain of beads, as they spiral around me. One by one, I whip them into submission with the divine weapon. As they fall, other members appear aiming their bows. Two of them are immediately taken out by Bear and Koda jumping their own victim. Unlike me, they show no restraint, letting them feel the full force of their bites. The chain of beads break apart and, shooting through the air, find a target, taking care of the rest of the archers. The divine beads return to me as I shift forms again back to human, the beads wrapping around my forearm. The group of women stare at me in astonishment.

"Where is Riju?" I ask hoping someone will tell me.

"Look out!" One of them screams from the crowd. I spin to see a bigger member of the Yiga clan. I'm about to send a fist right into his jaw, when his body suddenly goes limp and he drops the large blade he was holding. As he topples to the floor, Ursa stands there, a hard look on her face as she stares down at the man. She holds a dangerous looking glaive in her hand. I can't help but smirk,

"A healer with an attitude. Remind me not to piss you off." She points straight ahead to a large entrance,

"Lady Riju is inside. Buliara is with her, but many of those accursed voe went in after them. One in particular looked more dangerous than the others."

"You got things out here?" As I ask this, more Yiga appear, along with more Gerudo guards. They take their stance in front of the group of women from before. Ursa takes a stance as well, the hard expression on her face turning to pure rage,

"Go we can take care of them. Protect Lady Riju!" Without another word, I race off, Bear and Koda right on my heels.

I signal Bear and Koda to split off in either direction, heading around the back way. I enter the main way. The main room is littered with wounded Yiga clan members, their sickles and bows laid about. Near the throne, three people are there. A young woman looking to be in her teens, a guardsmen, holding a massive sword. She's ready to cut the assailant down. The third is a tall massive man. Unlike the read the other Yiga members wear, he wears all black. He holds two sharp daggers, almost as big as his own fists. Silently I make my way to a pillar hiding in its shadows, my sight still trained on the three people. The situation is not looking good. The warrior who I can only assume to be Buliara, Riju's bodyguard, stands at the ready. But her stance looks weak, even with her muscles and stamina, the fight that she has put up until now has been lowered. The bodies laying about prove that. Still she stands before the massive man, ready to defend the young lady behind her. The black clad figure chuckles as he twirls one of his daggers.

"I'll admit, you fight well, for a woman. But even if you didn't have that wound on your leg, you'd still be no match for me." I notice the blood stain on her clothes, her upper thigh painted with it. My teeth grit at his taunting words.

"My Lady, escape now." She says to the young woman behind her. The girl, although young, stands with a profound maturity about her. The look of a ruler on her face. I'm impressed to see that for one so young she knows how to mask her fears well, that is if she is even afraid. She stares the man down with her narrowed eyes, a look that all Gerudo women seem to possess when confronted by a threat.

"I will not run with my tail between my legs." She replies. This only seems to amuse the large figure before them.

"How noble. Foolish but noble." Buliara sending his movement, reacts. A dagger comes dangerously close to her heart as she defends her chief. Her arms shake with the force. The muscles in my legs tense as I try not to act so rash.

I need to catch him off guard. If I move now he'll know I'm here. I'll lose the element of surprise.

The metal on my arms and hands feel hot, and the chain of beads seems to sing in my ears as if both are trying to urge me to attack. But I have to wait. Buliara can only just manage to defend against her assailant as she draws his attention away from Riju. Her exhaustion though is quickly catching up to her. Her movements become more and more slowed. She suddenly drops to one knee, holding the sword above her head as he swings down. The impact shatters the sword in Buliara's hands. She tries to defend herself but the dagger stabs into her shoulder. Buliara let's off a rage filled scream, before her body is thrown against a pillar. Blood trickles from the new wound as she tries to move, the dagger still protruding. Her body is spent though. I ready myself to attack as the man stalks over to her. I ready myself to attack, when Riju suddenly stands before him. She holds her arms out to her sides, staring up at the man in defiance!

"My lady, no!" Buliara exclaims. "You must run!" The man laughs at the gesture, the courage she shows.

"How cute. The little chief thinks she can stop me." Riju says nothing, only stares him down. He reaches his hand out to her, ready to snap her neck. Instantly, without thinking, I let off a loud quick whistle. It stops him in his tracks as he turns in my direction. But it's all the distraction I need as Bear and Koda, snarling violently, rush in, jumping on him. They each take hold of an arm, shaking and pulling with all their might. I rush him from behind, leaping into the air. As I swing my body around, I land a bone crushing kick to the side of his neck. He goes flying into the wall, leaving a massive crack in his wake. I'm not sorry at the fact that I most likely broke his neck. I don't usually like to kill humans, in fact if I can avoid it I do. However I'm not so naive to think that killing is something that can be completely avoided and in this case, I will make an exception. Bear and Koda watch him like a hawk, all the while they let off a few growls. I watch him as well for the next minute to make sure he doesn't move. I take a fighting stance, not buying his trick.

"Defend." I say, signaling my wolves to stay near Riju and Buliara, "Snarl." I give another command, and both their hackles raise, as they bare their teeth at the still figure on the ground. "You can drop the act, I ain't buying it. I've met monsters smaller than you that act better."
