Bakugou POV
Shark Teeth invited Icy-hot and I to go play D&D with Deku and him in his room. At first, I said I didn't want to play some nerdy game, but then he asked if I wasn't up to the challenge, so I yelled, "Of course I am! I'll beat you nerds at your own game." That's how I ended up here, about to roll a d20 to see whether or not I could go into a barbarian rage to defeat this idiot dragon king we were going against. One. I rolled a one. Kirishima looks down at my die and says, "Sorry dude, a roll's a roll." I slam my fist on the table, "I want to roll again." Kirishima chuckles and replies, "That's not how the game works." I hear Todoroki sigh next to me and say, "Bakugou, let's just continue with the game." "Not until a get a better roll." I roll the die again and roll a 20. "Hah, the barbarian rage works. Second time's a charm." Shark Teeth exhales and says, "Ok so you go into a barbarian rage and attack the dragon king with your greatsword. Roll for damage." I roll a 1d6 and get a one. But since I'm raging, I get a plus two proficiency bonus. I glare at the die and huff, "What type of die are these Kirishima? I'm pretty sure they're plotting against me." He gestures toward the die and replies, "These dice aren't different from any other dice. Anyway Todoroki- I mean Aspen, your turn. What do you do?" Todoroki stares at the drawing of the cave that Shark Teeth drew for a minute and says, "I use Chill Touch on the dragon king, so he's not able to move until my next turn." Kirishima smiles and says, "Sounds like a plan, roll to see if you're able to cast the spell." Icy Hot rolls the die. Shark Teeth looks to see what he rolls, "Nice Aspen, a Nat 20! Now roll for damage." How did I roll a one, but Icy Hot rolls a twenty? I knew these dice were plotting against me.
I cross my arms and slightly slouch in my seat as Todoroki rolls for damage. Of course, he rolls an 8. I scowl at a Kirishima and say, "They're not different, huh?" He shrugs and says, "Alright the dragon king is almost beaten. Deku-sorry Lucian, what do you do?" Deku grins and says, "I use thunderous smite on the frozen dragon king." "Okay, roll to see if you can smite the dragon." Deku rolls a Nat 20. I slam my hands on the table, "Dang it Shark Teeth! Do you not see that these dice are against me? I mean Icy Hot rolls a 20 and Deku rolls a 20 and you say these dice aren't scheming against me? Or is this how the game's supposed to be played?" Everyone looks at me like I'm slightly out of my mind. Which I'm not, because I know what I saw. These dice are obviously biased. "Chill Bakugou, none of these dice are against you. Maybe Todoroki and Deku are just really lucky today." I groan and flop back in my seat. I can't believe I'm the only one seeing this.
Several rolls later we beat the dragon king. I got a couple of good rolls in, but I still think that the dice are biased towards Deku and Icy Hot. "Alright you guys, thanks for playing! Do you want to play next week?" Deku grabs his stuff and says, "Sure, thanks for having us Kirishima!" Todoroki nods slightly, "Yes, thank you Kirishima it was…fun." Todoroki smiles a bit and looks over to me. I'm still silent, standing with my arms crossed, everyone looking expectantly at me. I huff and say, "Alright, we can play the stupid game next week. But you better get new die Shark Teeth, I'm not playing with those cursed ones." Kirishima nods excitedly and says, "Sure dude, I got a bunch more somewhere in here." Shark Teeth starts looking around his room for some dice. I gruffly nod and look over to Todoroki, who's looking at me with a small smile on his face. Thank you. I make tch noise and say, "Come on Icy Hot, let's go get something to eat." Besides, if this game was something that brought a smile onto his face, how bad could it be?
Author's Note: I hope that you guys enjoyed! I might make actual character sheets for Bakugou, Todoroki, and Deku, cause it was fun giving them classes and everything. Maybe I'll make one for Kirishima too. Thank you for reading!
