NARUTO AND JIRAIYA
Many years ago, Konohagakure was founded by two friends of different clans - Hashirama Senju of the Senju Clan and Madara Uchiha of the Uchiha Clan. It is one of the Five Great Shinobi Nations situated in the Land of Fire. Hokages of the Leaf, as it is known, were leaders who protected the village and their people. Generations had passed until a 5th Hokage supervised the land, her name Lady Tsunade. It was dawn in Konoha as daylight began to overshadow the village, while birds chirped throughout the morning hours. Tsunade was already in office to prepare herself for the day's work. Drinking her green tea she looked out through her window to overview the vast village. But Naruto Uzumaki wasn't the type of guy to wake up so early. While still asleep on his bed he couldn't bother to get up. Well, you can't blame the guy. Waking up early in the morning is such a pain in the neck. He continued sleeping when his alarm had set off. Feeling annoyed, not wanting to hear a single sound coming from that torture device, he got up and turned off the alarm.
Naruto, rubbing his eyes as he stretched, "Ughh, alarms are such a pain you know?... But that doesn't mean I can't enjoy my morning breakfast! Some good old ramen!"
Feeling pumped up first thing in the morning isn't something usual for everyone, but his love for ramen always brings a good mood. He folded his blanket and cleaned his bed, then he rushed down to his kitchen just to find that there were no more ramen cups in his cupboard.
"Oh yeah, I forgot… I had to share some with Konohamaru. I swear that kid is always tryna steal my ramen" he said with a depressed face.
Naruto then refreshed himself, wore his usual clothing and made his way down to Ichiraku Ramen. Upon arrival to Ichiraku Ramen, before he stepped inside, he took out his frog wallet to see if he had any cash.
"Aw man you gotta be kidding me. I had truck loads of cash in my wallet yesterday. There's no way it could just get up and run away."
Confused and all, he remembered that Konohamaru won the bet from yesterday's wager.
FLASHBACK
Konohamaru: "Hey! Big Brother Naruto! I challenge you to a Sexy Jutsu battle! I've mastered this jutsu way better than you!"
Naruto: "Oh yeah?! If I win, you have to treat me to Ichiraku Ramen. But if I lose I'll give you all my money and also my ramen cups stashed back at my house."
FLASHBACK END
"Hmm… so that's where it all happened. Man I'm an idiot for making such a risky gamble."
Naruto walked inside and there he saw Jiraiya eating ramen. Next to him was a bowl of ramen with roast pork in it.
Jiraiya turned around, "Oh, Naruto! I'd figured you'd be here first thing in the morning. Come over here and have a seat."
"Pervy Sage? But how did you know I was coming here?"
Jiraiya crossed his arms, "Idiot. Everyone knows you lost to Konohamaru. You guys were in public shouting while making a bet. After that jutsu you pulled off, Sakura gave you a sucker punch to the face. Sheesh… She's really the pupil of Tsunade. But I knew you'd come here since you didn't have ramen to eat."
"Oh… so everyone knows about the bet I lost." Naruto said as he looked face down.
Jiraiya cheered him up, saying, "Other than that, eat up! That ramen isn't gonna taste good if you leave it to cool down any longer. Don't worry, I'll pay the check."
"Alright! Thanks for the food!"
Naruto grabbed some chopsticks and instantly started eating. As he was enjoying his ramen, Jiraiya looked at him and smiled. Although, this was the given opportunity that Jiraiya had something to say.
"Naruto… listen up." He said sternly.
"Huh? What seems to be the problem Pervy Sage?"
The Sannin looked at him, "It's serious. Gamamaru, the Great Toad Sage, said something about a prophecy."
"A prophecy? What prophecy?" Naruto asked with a mouthful.
Jiraiya explained to Naruto as he got flashbacks on Mount Myoboku, "Gamamaru saw in a vision three evil beings that came up from out of the earth. He said something about them, something that even I wasn't prepared to hear... They have power that is greater than Chakra."
Naruto was shocked, "Power greater than Chakra!? Really!?"
"Yeah. He said it was unlike anything seen in the Shinobi world. If these guys possess power that surpasses Chakra, I wonder what they can do with it... It could mean total destruction. They could be a threat."
Naruto said, "Damn, to think there are others who have such power is just crazy!"
Jiraiya continued, "But that wasn't all to it. He mentioned another group of people who were there fighting against them. Maybe they are the good guys who came to help us."
Jiraiya was in a thinking state when Naruto interrupted, "But seriously, do you have to believe what that old geezer says? What if it's just a make-up story like about that one 'disciple who would bring a great change to the world'? We got the Akatsuki to worry about. They're the real threat, the prophecy you speak of just seems to be unreal. Besides, there's no power source other than Chakra that exists."
Jiraiya thought hard and then said, "What if these people aren't from around the world we live in. Maybe they're beings from other planets? But I'm not too sure. There's no logical evidence for that. Sure we got the Akatsuki to worry about, but the prophecy keeps bothering me. I do believe it will happen one day so there's no doubt about it. There's nothing else to do but be prepared for what lies ahead."
Naruto looked at Jiraiya with a smirk on his face, "I don't know about you Pervy Sage but maybe you're peeping too much on women which explains why you would believe such things from an old toad."
Jiraiya smiled and said, "Hmph. Even if I tell you, you still wouldn't believe it. I guess the more you eat ramen the more stubborn you are."
"Hah, you say that like you mean it. Two more bowls of ramen please!" Naruto shouted.
"Coming right up!" said Teuchi.
Clenching his fist and raising it into the air, he said, "One day, I will become Hokage and everyone will know that!"
Jiraiya questioned, "Hmm? What's this all of a sudden?"
"Pervy Sage, you said something about those guys as a threat… If the prophecy becomes true, then I'll be ready whenever! I'll train hard for what is to come, to protect those close to me with my life. Even if it doesn't happen, I will not allow anyone to destroy my village."
Jiraiya thought to himself, "Hehehe… He may be an idiot sometimes, but he is a man of courage and bravery. Willing to put his life in danger for the sake of his friends, now that's a true ninja."
The two enjoyed their meals as they laughed together and talked.
